Excellent front-end sales, terrible and pushy backend sales, no sense of time. Let me start by saying that I had a wonderful experience with Marco being the salesman of the car. He was patient, helpful, answered my questions and made the experience smooth. It is a good showroom with good Kia cars and the test drive experience was smooth. The problem started after I put in the deposit and I was transferred to Sebastian for the financing portion. Sebastian is everything that you read about or see on TV about the stereotypical car salesman. He tried to scare us into buying their showrooms warranty, used most power sales tactics in the book, was pushy, even disrespectful at times trying to make us feel cheap for not buying his product. Thankfully my wife and I understand the financing math and did not fall into his tactics. But it left a real bad taste in the mouth. Once we purchased the car, Marko requested us to collect it at 4 pm on a weekday. When we asked for 4.30, he requested if we could make it at 4 because of xyz reasons. We reached at 4.03 pm and were kept waiting for 45 minutes before he arrived with the car and then we went through the paperwork. That was very unprofessional as well. Conclusion: Stay away from Sebastian, have patience with delays and you will be okay here. read more

I must express my disappointment with Toronto KIA, despite the exceptional service provided by Shafayat Karim. He was truly amazing and conducted himself professionally. However, my experience took a negative turn when Mike Jafri intervened and informed me that the vehicle had been "sold" to another buyer solely based on an electronic deposit, despite my readiness to finalize the purchase with cash on hand and a willingness to sign a bill of sale. This decision seemed unjust, especially considering that the other buyer did not possess a signed bill of sale and only left an electronic deposit. The lack of transparency and fairness in this process is concerning and tarnishes the otherwise commendable service provided by the salesperson. Just so we're on the same page, At Toronto KIA, all it takes is a deposit to "buy" a car. No bill of sale needs to be signed. If that's the case anyone can pay a refundable deposit and just pull out days later. This dealership left a very sour taste in my mouth considering how unfair this service was. First and last time dealing with this dealership. Mike Jafri did not even have the courtesy to offer to follow up with me if the deal fell through. Do not deal with salesman Name Mohammad Fazeli. He is selfish , dishonest and greedy person. I booked my Kia EV9 with him he forced me to make deposit of $1000 to confirm my booking he promised me that he will get this car in 3 -4 months. I called after 3 months and he said I got your car but it is in different color I clearly booked my car with all specification I need still he order wrong car. However it did not end there after 6 month when I called him he said that he will call me back in few mins. he never returned my call. I called 3 times on same day , left message on his cell phone, left message with front desk, Left message with his colleague but he never return call. however I kept trying for 5 days consequently but he never returned my phone call. I visited to Kia Toronto dealership on Jul 27 and he never came to me. went tO his manager who assigned me with another sales person name Zaid who showed me some cars but none of them of what I was looking for. So i requested his manager to refund my deposit of $1000. Zaid (Salesman) told me that he don't havE my file so asked me to call on Monday and they will refund my money On same night Mohammad Fazeli called me at 7.30 pm and told me that he has 3 cars of my like and he will give me all detail of this car Monday morning. So I waited till 1 pm and he never called me so I called him and again he went on hide and I keep on calling him on his cell, VM, his colleague , front desk and he never returned my call. Avoid this dealership at all costs. I called to see if they had a 2023 SX Seltos on the lot and was told there was one last one available. Once I got there, the guy I talked to on the phone tried to do a bait and switch and wouldn't even show the vehicle he claimed was available and said the price for the car would be about $49000!!! A top of the line Seltos SX goes for almost $38000 before tax. I know inventory at dealerships are limited but GOUGING potential customers is not a good sales technique. This is what gives car salesmen a bad reputation. So if you are looking for a KIA, be very careful of this dealership or at least a so-called salesman named Shaf (Shaffiq) because he will just waste your time or at least try to cheat you out of your hard-earned money. Horrendous, Horrific, Terrible, beyond disappointing. Salesman must of been new, because he should be consider a new profession. Went to see a used vehicle and i had a prearranged appointment. After waiting for 45 mons to see the car, the cae still was not at the dealership even though the shaddy salesman told me it will be in 5 mins. I waited 50 mins and heard " 5 mins" 7 times, finally after 50 mins I had enough, then the Sales Manager came to apologize and tried to convince me to wait, yes you guessed it " 5 more mins" I left, it might be a bad idea to lie to a customer right of the bat!!! Extremely disppointed with Mike Jafri (Sales Manager). I found his contact through a reference and he betrayed me despite that. I found out on the day of purchase that he quietly added 'additional services' without explaining to me. When I questioned he said these were mandatory services and reacted emotively. Eventually his colleague (Jason) and boss helped me by taking off the 'extras' of the list. It turned out his was falsifying the info. I have asked his boss to train him better for customer service. Hope he learns his lessons and serve us better the next time as I really want him to grow in his career. Good luck! read more

I have to say I'm not impressed. Last June I purchased a used 2015 Kia Soul. I'm not unhappy with the car itself, but within the year I have had to completely replace the all season tires it came with, apparently they were garbage, and tomorrow I have to have all of my brake pads and discs replaced. It's also making a bit of engine noise that I'm going to get my mechanic to check at the same time. I wrote to the dealership about this and they ignored me. All I can say is, if your going to buy a used car from them, take it to a mechanic to check it out first. read more

Very disappointing experience. I travelled from an hour and a half outside of Toronto after speaking & confirming the information with Mike Jafri on Saturday. I was interested in a 2020 new Kia Niro EV listed at around $38,300.00 before taxes. Upon arrival I was shown what I believed was my vehicle, and the received a breakdown where the price of the car before taxes was around $44,000.00. The GM and other employee would not honour the lower price the car was listed at, claiming that they are not responsible for advertisements of their vehicles. The ad was from a legitimate website, by authorized dealerships with all the car details and the ability to communicate directly with the dealer through the advertising website. Poor experience. These are the type of dealerships that give car dealers a bad stereotype. read more

I tried coming here for an oil change as I saw the great reviews online but all I got was disappointment after disappointment. First off, I booked the service over a week ago for 9am. I arrived at 8:45 am hoping to get in and out as quickly as possible but to my complete surprise, the rep who was helping me said that the car will be ready by 6pm. I was like... "what? It's going to take 9 hours to complete an oil change?" Then the rep said that I "should've been told when I booked" and offered ttc tokens if I wanted to get to where I needed to go. I let him that this was unacceptable and that I took a day off to do this and run my errands which I now have to push back if I were to get my car back that late. Seriously... what's the point of booking an appointment if I was going to be treated like this? Luckily, I was able to get my car back by 12pm after requesting that they complete this asap. Second disappointment was how they treat other customers compared to others. Being new there, I walked around and was never asked if I needed anything. However, there was an older gentleman and I'm assuming he's a regular there as he was offered coffee/water and was helped by multiple people - even the manager. Third, when I got my car back, I was charged more than what was advertised and the receipt gave no explanation as to why and the staff there made some sort of excuse saying more parts were needed. It's a 2017 model that I got 6 months ago.. How many extra parts do they need to replace?? I honestly was fed up with trying to argue with the staff there so I didn't bother to waste my time there so I paid and left. I definitely won' be back and will not recommend anyone to come here as the service is lack-luster and the prices are incorrect. Oh.. And they don't wash your car after they service it (not sure if it's something I need to ask for specifically as my previous services at other dealerships comes with this automatically). read more

What is going on at Kia Danforth? I have bought and/or leased my last 2 cars there and Up until this year, service was always great. I took my car in this week, with a 9 am appt for winter tires install and first 5,000 km check. I asked about getting my car back around 1-2 pm. I was told they would keep me up to date. I got a call at 2:45 saying car had not even been seen yet and they would need my car until the following afternoon?? What? So making an appt is meaningless? Service advisor just told me they were very busy.....I replied that I had a 9 am appt.... That apparently didn't matter. Messages left on service manager's and dealership manager's phones were never returned. Finally spoke to Wali, an extremely nice service person, and the only person who actually tried to help us. I told him I needed car and would be coming to pick it up, serviced or not and would find another place to take it. He apologized and said he would have car ready by 9:30 next morning. I agreed to wait and car was ready to go as agreed. This is the second time this has happened to me this year. I can only assume that cars that arrived after mine were being serviced ahead of me....which makes no sense. Are they booking too many appts? Not enough staff? Certainly everyone there did not care to help me... with the exception of Wali. I will not be returning to Kia Danforth. So disappointed in their service. read more

Even though I didn't buy my KIA soul here, I come here for service as I have moved since I bought the car. This dealership is great. Their opening hours are long, making it very convenient. I usually drop off my car in the morning and let them do their work. They of course always call you back to let you know of the work that need to be done, and it's always very courteous when you say that you'll be holding off the repairs. When I get my car, you can always see that care and attention has been given to the car. Their work is always well done. The receipt was emailed to me which was great because I know i will always have a copy in my files (always useful when you need to sell the car) All in all, they are great. I have only had experience with Jason in service (he is awesome). I just had my third appointment with Kia - 2 oil changes and a nail in my tire (that my neighbour thoughtfully left out in a board) that popped my tire. Initially I was very impressed with the sales guys. Purchased a car on a Saturday. Was told that on Monday they would start calling around to locate the vehicle. Late Wednesday I left a message because I hadn't heard anything. I called again on Thursday and finally got the sales guy. He told me they were having trouble locating the car and that I should just bear with them. Really? In any case I really wanted the car so decided to give them time. He advised he would call me back Thursday to update me. As of Saturday no call so I called again. No news. I would email every 3 days or so- and it would take them 3-4 days to reply. After almost a month they finally advised they couldn't get the car. I went in to get my deposit and cancel the loan agreement. Of course the finance guy was off but I was assured he would do it first thing this morning. It was important because I was purchasing a car elsewhere. At 4pm I called to follow up- "Oh yah" he says- "I need to call the bank and cancel it". Was reluctant to call me back and confirm he had done it. I have NEVER experienced such crappy service. Ever. And I will be telling everyone I know not to deal with this outfit- no matter what. read more

I was working with Bernard at this location. He started off professional, but then was very rude and terrible to deal with, somehow he feels entitled as a "service associate." I asked for a quote on a tail light, i'ts been 16 days, and i still haven't got it. The dealership overall is okay, not great, not terrible, but just okay. People only go there as they are the only one in east Toronto and real estate is so pricey. I'd advise to avoid this place as cars are a dime a dozen and their service is bad, unless you want to be belittled by Bernard, then yes pease go there. read more

The replacement part took a lot longer than I expected to come in, but the service manager that I dealt with was very helpful. I was a customer of Toronto Honda when I had my CRV and 'moved' over to Kia when I bought my 2014 Rondo. Many of the service people are the same and I like them a lot. They treat me like a regular customer and remember my name, and what I have done without looking at their record. This makes me feel like I matter as a customer. They recently notified me proactively that my car was affected by a recall and replaced the part at no charge. Because it is a dealership, the prices are not cheap, but you know it's done right. read more

I am a first-time buyer and purchased a 2013 Kia Optima a couple months ago. The process of getting a car seemed very intimidating, and I'm not going to lie, I wasn't very trusting of having car salesmen and financer ease me into the process. But when I got to Kia Danforth, Riyannon (who works in the financing department) was incredibly patient, informative and honest. She made sure to let me know of all (and the best) options. I felt like she really had my best interests in mind, and so I walked out with real trust and confidence that I had the best deal. On top of that, the salesman Raymond is a truly loyal and helpful person. He responded to all my questions in a timely manner. If I ever had any questions even after purchasing the car he was open to me calling him and he was always a great help. Even now, well over a month after I purchased the car, he has helped me track and locate good rubber mats. Ultimately, there is not one thing I regret from going to Kia Danforth. Amazing car buying experience at Toronto Kia! Couldn't be happier with our new 2017 Kia Sorento! We started an exploratory car search in early April, originally thinking we'd aim to purchase the new Sorento a few months down the road. Until we met Viktor, our Account Executive - who was not only knowledgeable and professional, but he is very approachable and easy to talk to. It didn't feel like a sales pitch or interaction, but rather a friend talking about cars. After the test drive and answering more questions, we were so impressed with Viktor - we began discussing taking the next steps almost immediately (which wasn't our original plan). Tobias - Sales Manager, was also fantastic. He went out of his way to ensure we reached at our desired price range, the trade-in of our old vehicle, and other things to make the deal happen. Having found a nail in my tyre in the afternoon, I contacted Toronto Kia and they suggested bringing in my Rondo immediately. They removed the nail and plugged the tyre within the hour. The service at Toronto Kia on the Danforth far exceeds my expectation for car dealership service! I bought my 2014 Kia Soul from another dealership and switched to Toronto Kia when it opened up (both are about the same distance from my house) - and I have only taken my car there for all warranty and non-warranty service. Firstly, their pricing for non-warranty service is very reasonable! For example, to have my summer tires removed and have winter tires installed (or vice-versa) - if the tires are on rims, they charge only $29.00 to have all 4 tires switched..this is not $29.00 per tire, it's for all 4 tire! And, if you spend $200 or more and you need to leave your car for a day or more due to the time it takes to complete a service, this dealership will pay for your rental!! Secondly, they treat their customers with ultimate respect! If their technicians make a mistake (they are only human after all), this dealership takes responsibility and makes good. For example, recently I had my car towed to Toronto Kia because I had a flat tire. I told them up front that I would be willing to buy a new tire if needed. But the service desk insisted that they will inspect the tire and try to fix it first as that is less expensive. They thought they found the problem with the leak being caused by the tire being pinched by the rim. But a week later, that same tire went flat and I had to have car towed to them again (the soul doesn't come with a spare tire). They immediately said they will compensate me for my inconvenience. They inspected the tire again and now saw the rim was bent and had torn into the tire. They said they could repair the rim and the tire. But I said I wanted to replace the tire and rim and asked for a discount given that I had bring my car back. Understandably, they could not discount the retail price for the material (tire and rim) because they need to cover their cost and markup. But they gave me free labour and paid for my rental for the day! This is how they have operated for the entire 3 years that I have been going there! I love their service so much that I have told them, that I plan on bring my car to them for all my service needs forever into the future as long as they keep up this great service. And should I end up buying another brand car, I will still bring such car to this Kia service because of their great service! It's obvious, the brothers that own this dealership, are truly customer focused!! This is how all businesses should operate! And Bernard and Vik are the great customer service reps that provide such great service. I was really disappointed to have the service department quote 2.5 hours of labour to replace a rear-wheel hub assembly on my '05 Sportage. I'm not a mechanic, but this sounded fishy to me. I ended up taking it to a local garage, who spent a grand total of 20 minutes TOTAL to perform this job. I know the dealership costs money, but sheesh, this was a bad experience. read more
