In December 2024, I visited this RV dealership after seeing their Facebook ad for a 2000 Tiffin Allegro Class A RV listed at $12,900. I was seriously considering switching to RV living, and this was one of the few options nearby. I spoke with a salesperson named Steve, who was polite, and then with Tony, one of the owners. I told Tony I needed more time to think about it, and offered to leave a $50 hold fee. He refused that and instead asked for a $1,000 deposit, telling me, "If you don't want it in two days, I will refund it to you. I'm the owner, I bend the rules. You have my word, and I'll even put it on the bill of sale." I have the full conversation recorded. Based on that verbal promise and his position as the owner, I agreed. I was given a receipt (which I still have), and paid by e-transfer. Two days later, on December 11, I went back to cancel. Tony was slightly upset, but ultimately agreed to refund the deposit via cheque--this part is also recorded. However, at that moment another owner, Paul Buro, stepped in aggressively, shouting that they lost customers because of me and that I "signed the paper," so I wouldn't get a cent back. He told me to take him to court and said he had lawyers. When I tried to reason with Tony again, Paul repeatedly cut me off. Tony stayed mostly silent. Eventually Paul told me to leave or he'd call the police. On December 16, I returned with a friend who recorded our second visit. Things escalated: Paul raised his voice, threatened to physically remove us, and actually called the police. We waited outside for over an hour, but no officers arrived. Hours later, a police officer called me and said they couldn't help and I'd need to take civil action. I have: * A written receipt from the business. * A bank record of the $1,000 transfer. * Full audio recording of the owner promising a refund within two days. * Video footage of the second confrontation. * Police call records. Despite all of this, I have not received a single dollar back. Be extremely cautious if you're considering doing business here. Don't rely on verbal promises, even from the owner. I'm now pursuing legal action.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with CanaDream…read more Our family travelled with 3 other families -- all of us booked and paid for the exact same RV category. Yet somehow the other 3 families all received spacious RVs with slide-out extensions while we were stuck with the only small RV without one. Same price, completely different experience. Anyone familiar with RVs knows the difference in space and comfort is massive. Then CanaDream charged us for a bike rack, emailed us the NIGHT BEFORE pickup saying none were available, and still left the charge on our account until we complained afterward. What was even worse was the attitude from management. Completely dismissive, defensive, and more interested in hiding behind policy wording than acknowledging the obvious unfairness of the situation. Their idea of "making it right" was offering a discount on a future booking -- as if we would ever trust this company again after how poorly this was handled. CanaDream clearly has no issue taking full payment while delivering a noticeably inferior experience to some customers. We won't be returning -- and we'll be making sure others know exactly what to expect before booking with them.

McKenzie promised to have that portion of the tent replaced at the end of the season and to work through a deficiencies list, as well as winterize the trailer for free for my troubles. 2 years later I am still waiting for them to complete this list. A bracket that holds the door up when then the tent is folded down fell off within the first week of use, Mckenzie promised to fix this bracket. The bracket was never replaced, it was instead hidden within the trailer under the sink (no easy task), which was returned folded down as if it had been completed. No one mentioned the door was in there unsupported. I proceeded to tow the camper to its winter storage where it sat, because of covid, until spring 2021. When I opened the tailer this year, I found the bracket missing and the door nearly unusable from bouncing around inside the trailer unrestrained. The solid portions that cover the screen during bad weather were all bent and the frame itself coming apart. The door now needs to be taped together to function at all. When I confronted McKenzie with this I received no explanation of how it happened. I was told to send in photos of the damage, which I did in late May or early June. This email went ignored, so did the follow-up phone calls. McKenzie ignored me until someone I knew that was buying a trailer put their deal on hold because they were disturbed with how I was being treated. This got me in quick contact with Colleen, who admonished me for not bringing it to her attention before. Now I barely remember Colleen at all, she is the one we signed the paperwork with. I believe I met her once. She does not work in the service department. She promised to take care of it as soon as I got back from my camping trip. For a time frame, we left on the 19th of July. At this point, they had been ignoring the situation since the start of June. Fast forward to the end of my vacation. My friend has taken delivery of the trailer. Colleen is now on vacation and instructs me to email Patti, the girl in the service department that takes care of warranty work. It would seem now that my friend isn't holding up his deal anymore, McKenzie is back to ignoring me. Sent in a round of emails over a week ago, and no response. Patti couldn't even send me an email saying she got mine, which I know she did, I sent it with a read receipt that shows they opened it. And for all the people that say their service department is excellent, go in sometime, stand for a few minutes off to the side looking at the merchandise they have in the room off to the right, and listen to how they complain and make fun of their customers. They laugh at you and call you morons, they're probably laughing at me right now for being stupid enough to believe they would keep their promises.

As it was the end of the season, I decided to let them winterize my RV since they were going to be doing this maintenance, otherwise, I would have winterized it myself per usual. When I booked it in, I was told to empty the tanks. When I picked up my RV, I was told they couldn't find the by-pass switch so they cut a new one. And since I had emptied my tanks, they couldn't check my hot water tank. Rather than over react to this news, I went home to think about what they had done. Disappointed in the fact that they didn't call me to find out where the by-pass was located and proceeded to cut a new one and charge me for it; disappointed that they didn't provide the service of checking the hot water heater as requested, I phone back to talk to the owner's daughter to express my disappointment in a calm, rational way. I was told that they have trained technicians and I shouldn't be questioning their work. I was told I would not be compensated for their mistakes and lack of service as requested and not to come back again. So needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed in their service all the way around. They obviously don't value their customers. I would not recommend anyone I know to use this service.

The park is full of outdated equipment, not the old Rubbermaid plastic equipment that is faded this is the old metal equipment that most parks and schools have removed as they pose a safety hazard. There is also a wooden log train for the kids to play on that is showing its age. There is a fishing pond but most of the time its more weeds that anything else. The security at night is obnoxious we have been told to put out the fire at 10:30, he told my wife and I its quiet time at 10pm. The Pull Thru sites are similar to US parks they are small. The sites are so close to Hwy 9 with no trees as a barrier so you have to sleep with the fan on and the windows closed unless your drunk, a few pull thru sites have septic access hatches on them so you have a concrete obstacles to deal with, Not very kid friendly. The rates are on par with most parks situated close to the city. If you live close to Toronto and want somewhere close by for the weekend it's Ok but try get in on a cheap weekend or it's not worth it. As a new RV dealer they have always had good prices and gave fair if not above average trade in values, you get a night free when you purchase a brand new unit with a fairly informative walk around. If you want somewhere to purchase a trailer and save some money go there buy your trailer and plan never return to have warranty or any other work done by them or have any other contact with them until you are ready to buy another unit. DO NOT service your equipment here under warranty or otherwise you get mediocre work at best and if you complain when they don't do what you paid for the mechanic refuses to work on your equipment ever again.

So we left with an unsure feeling , the trailer was all over the place , my wife called friends who were RVers and asked if this was normal . NO it was not. Go to Del Maestro they will help you. Long story short they found my hitch was set up totally wrong and the anti sway bar not installed and the weight distribution bars not connected the trailer hitch didn't even have a safety bolt installed. They corrected it all and gave us a reassuring slow walk around of safety items and pros and cons. Never will we go back to The other dealer ... they should be reprimanded . And as they don't need a licence , which is an absolute mistake by our government, no where can you find registered , licensed mechanics with a 4 year course with one year on job work. And payed as much if not more than Auto mechanics. THIS SHOULD BE MANDATORY BY OUR GOVERNMENT! I know there are mini courses to get a mini licence but far from a real mechanic !
