Great experience the day I needed their help. Natasha answered the phone and they arrived so…read morequickly. Rory was awesome. Friendly and fast service. Lost power and could not get into garage that is not connected to my house. I was not aware the door they keyed for me would not lock and was only for emergency use. Their weekend phone people are not very kind. Would call again whenever I need a locksmith as there are so many scams out there.

First of all, they responded very fast the day of the call. Caesar was fantastic and very…read moreknowledgeable and was able to get the door operational, but needed to replace the entire Emtek system. I was told I needed to prepay for the item which I did, and also paid for a service call of $150.00. The part arrived today and Caesar came back ASAP and began working on reinstalling the new system on the door. Understand that it was quite an ordeal and it took him a lot longer than either of us thought it would. He finished the work and stated that there would be a labor charge for the installation. The part I prepaid seem expensive, but... I agreed, he came back and that price had doubled... After all was said and done the total I paid was $981.88! YIKES! I contacted Emtek and asked them for the MSRP of the product they installed. The MSRP for the unit from the factory is $311! I found online that several suppliers and found the item for $248 .80 MSRP $311.00 Save $62.20 (20% OFF) + FREE SHIPPING at MyKnobs, Inc, 14 Bayville Ave Bayville, NY 11709. When I called Bobs Lock Safe and Key the person said about the price I paid "That Sounds About Right!" So... The service was good, but they are VERY EXPENSIVE! But... Probably I guess they can charge what they want, where else are you going to go....

I purchased our link interactive system through Costco a little over a year ago after suffering for…read moreYEARS with a local South Florida security monitoring company, a rather unhealthy relationship because it was a family "friend". The company didn't want to deal with online access, at one point, when we wanted cameras and phone app access to the security system, the owner told us that was stuff he didn't feel like dealing with; customer service *so* bad, even at the end still demanding payment when the darn alarm panel sat dormant for *months* because none of their techs could keep scheduled repair appointments. I had to call BBB for them to stop billing us. We would've left a review for the company but we heard they harassed another customer so badly for leaving a very similarly telling review, we said forget it and hope for Karma. Grrr. Smh. Moving on. At that point, we were up for DIY security. So far this has been good for our family. 5+* - customer service, incredible. Hard to beat. They baby step us every time I call. Every tech I've spoken to has the patience of steel, like nothing you say could be more stupid, even though might be. 4* - the equipment selection. It's mostly alarm.com products, which have been OK. Some home automation, I love the thermostat. You can't just order from the website, you have to call and speak to someone which is a little bit of a pain of you know exactly what you need. We've had a few equipment issues, the the customer service has been so good, they usually figure it all the first call. It's not always cutting edge, but it works for us 4.5* - for the app and the security control website, which is great for novice users like me. UI is pretty good. You can also get fancy with programming your system, too once you get the gist of how extensive you'd like to be alerted of things like if a certain door opens using a certain entry code (the kid is home), talk to someone at the door even if they don't ring the doorbell (I once told police officers how cute they were as they walked past my front door while they were responding to a false alarm), garage door control, automated door locks lock when you arm the system, and so much more! Prices for monthly monitoring are very competitive with other companies. They do have contracts they say to keep pricing lower; I wasn't too happy about. But I relented and now we plan to be with this company for a long, long time, their service is evolving and is keeping up with technology, unlike others. Trying to protect our family at home and the little bit we have Sad to say.

I'm glad to see that I wasn't the only one that had bad service from Link Interactive. They did…read moreabsolutely nothing to assist me other than make me pay out my contract for a product that never worked once THEY updated a part in the console. I had my son-in-law install the part, who is an IT director, and once installed it just beeped and beeped. Never worked. I asked to cancel my service and stopped paying by turning off my credit card for auto payments. But OH NO, I have a 2 year contract & they threaten to send me to collections. They don't support their own product and god forbid if you want someone to service it. You do it yourself. I finally got pissed off and mailed it back to them. Of course, they said it worked perfectly. Do you think they would have given me a new console, since mine was several years old and now had parts updated by THEM? Of course not. They sent it back and I plugged it in, and it did the same thing. As pissed off as I was at that moment I ripped it off the wall and threw the damn thing across the room, then picked up the pieces and threw in the trash. I've been paying for this piece of crap with no service for over a year. Here's the best part, when I caught up on my past due payments a few days after I paid, they charge my new credit card, without my authorization, for $179. They could never explain what that was for. Now I had proof, so I filed a fraudulent complaint with my bank. I got the money refunded by the bank, and Link never acknowledged it, but it no longer shows the charge. Today I sent them a certified check for the balance and told them again to CANCEL my account. NOW my contract with this awful company is over. Don't do business with them, it doesn't matter that you've been a long time customer, they don't give a crap!
