The restaurant space is very open and light. On most days there's plenty of seating to choose from. As you peruse a menu that doesn't solely include sweet items which was a surprise to me the first time that I visited, the staff are patient if you have questions. My favorite item on the menu is the soul food platter which is available at an amazing price point. Everything is delicious, and I'm very particular about how my collard greens are prepared. I've also had some of their desserts, including the cheesecake which was amazing and a sample smoothie that was provided by the owner while I waited for my meal. So if you have a larger order, it's probably best to go in, place the order, then either sit in your car or leave and come back. While waiting, I've seen people picking up huge party trays of wings, and they looked and smelled really good. I'll probably try those next. Another plus is that there's ample parking in the back, which makes pickup much easier.
