BAIT and SWITCH tactics! Illegal! Do not go! Our hotel room got a coupon sheet under the door. Had great deals. Called pizza place and they do not honor the coupons. There are no expiration dates on them. Why are these coupons still being passed out? Why is the hotel letting these coupons be brought to customers? Husband wanted hot food and wanted to try them out anyway. I warned him. I warned him... paid full price for meal. At least we didn't get sick. Cheap soda, cheap pizza but expensive. This is a horrible establishment and I will NEVER order from here again. Like others said, I would give this 0 stars if I could. So, I was excited about ordering from this establishment because my boyfriend told me about it (he ordered from one while he was in Baltimore) so I figured we'd give it a try. I read on the menu this restaurant has an app and "fast delivery." So, I ordered through the app, along with putting in my card information. My order was placed at 12:04pm. I called a few minutes later to confirm, and I was told they have the order and it should be out shortly. Since they advertise fast delivery, I expected the food to arrive about 30 minutes after the first phone call. 45 minutes at the MOST. After almost an hour, I called to see where the food was. I was told at 12:53pm the food left already with the driver. By 1:15pm, I still had not received the food and by this time, I was irritated. Not only did I give a reasonable tip because the driver was traveling in the rain, I was told the driver had already left when he in fact, did not. I ask for a refund because it was taking too long and I was afraid the food was cold, but the man on the phone refused to honor my request and told me to "wait until the food gets there" before I decide on a refund, and even so, I would have to wait until the next day because the manager was not there. I was shocked he even suggested that, when it had been almost 30 minutes since he told me the driver already left. So, the food gets to my house after 1:30pm. It's still semi-hot which suggested the driver left sometime after the man told me he left. So then I was told by the delivery driver I had to make a payment because the payment said cash. I told him I already paid through the app because as I stated earlier, I gave them my card info. So he says okay. Then, they spend the next hour harassing me, and even came and knocked on my door again looking for a payment I already gave them. So I give them my card info again and I told them to take off the tip I originally left, and they did not. So now, not only am I pissed I had to wait an hour and a half for nasty, not so hot food, I spent $30.00 for no reason and I have an unauthorized charge on my card. Like a lot of others here I'd give zero stars if I could. I was in town for a conference. Sure it was busy, I get that. But this was ridiculous. It's not just that the pizza hadn't arrived after more than two and a half hours, it's that they LIED to me and told me it was on its way ("it's already left the building") when I called after about an hour and a half. An hour later I called back and cancelled. The guy on the phone first tried to tell me maybe it had already been delivered, then tried to get me to accept a 50% price reduction, then said I'd still get it and it wouldn't be cold, and *finally* just accepted that I was canceling the order. My family and I were in DC for a vacation. The man taking my order was very nice and helpful. We ordered two pan pizzas and cheese bread. We were told 45 minutes. 45 minutes came and went and I started to get nervous. Waited about 15 minutes more and gave them a call. Maybe they couldn't find the hotel ( even though I found the ad in the hotel binder info). I was told two to three more minutes. 10 more minutes and the pizza showed. Didnt notice until driver left that both pizzas were thin crust. Daughter starts eating and promptly says she doesn't like it because it's too spicy and has tons of red pepper ( we like spicy food, we get tons of it in Texas). I take a bite of cheese bread and just happen to glance at the remainder in my hand and I think, " gross" a black olive is embedded in my dough. No such luck. I quickly realize it's a well toasted June bug! The tainted bread goes flying. Chewed up cheesy bits get spewed on the hotel carpet. I continue to gag until my husband informs me that all of his body parts are intact. Like I said, I'm from Texas so I understand what a pain these guys are. We run for cover to get through the front door before they swarm in. However, I have never ever cooked one! I walked all over DC today and didn't see a single June bug, so where did it come from??? I highly recommend that you avoid this restaurant at all costs. Very disappointed with food and service. We order pizza for my grandson birthday. We order the 4 ex-large 1 topping it came to $50.00 we had a coupon that said $39.99 we gave him $60.00. My son went to get the pizzas and came back I asked where is our change and he said the man told him he didn't have any smdh. When we open the pizzas all of then was burnt and they didn't taste good. This place is excellent. The portions are huge, the meats and cheeses they use are top quality, and their sauce is hearty and rich without being too acidic. I highly recommend the calzones. They are basically the size of a 16" pie folded in on itself. The dough is brushed in garlic butter, most of them have a three cheese blend inside, and they probably 1500 calories- but just eat the whole thing like there is no tomorrow and make sure your health insurance premiums were paid up this month. I call & the female takes my order. When asking my delivery address she states, "something with a B." Well I'm thinking wouldn't u want to verify the address. 30 minutes later the driver calls me from the restaurant to ask my address. 1 hr.10 mins. later I call to find out were they were. The same girl states, " well what u want me to do". "U have to give him time". I said," I have given him over an hour". I am spending my money here... I just need to know how much longer". She comes back, "He just left 12 minutes ago".The driver finally pulls up. Calls my phone to say he is outside. I go to the door & he is across the street still inside his car. I stand there for 3 mins.. He never gets out & its cold. I call him back & said are u getting out. He says yes. He looking around. I said," Ur not in a bad neighborhood so why u acting scared. This somewhat of pizza place do not even disturb one star. I placed an order for delivery yesterday and the delivery guy never showed up. I called the store and the guy told me that he was trying to call the delivery man but he wasn't picking up. I asked for a refund because at this point it had been 1 hr. The gentleman I was conversing with tried to offer me discounts but I did not want any discounts. He told me to wait to the pizza guy get there and then they will issue a refund. Another 1 went by and I called the store agaiin. The same guy answered the phone and said he would just issue me a refund. I also asked to speak to a manager and they said that there was no manager on duty. I also called the next day which is today to speak to a manager and they told me that he is not there.
