Leftie Lees is one of my favorite bakeries inside the Perimeter for baked goods with an Asian…read moreinfluence. Thanks to the brilliant chef Viv Lee, she has introduced me (and my mom) to our favorite pastry, the almond & strawberry galette (PLEASE bring that back one day!) I love love love the pastries, such as the seasonal cream cheese danish, black sesame blondie and the purple sweet potato roll. But every now and then, a savory pastry catches my eye, like the confit tomato & pesto bun. They also have a brunch/lunch menu with fun items like the braised beef sandwich or the egg melt. I love that they have comfortable indoor seating AND dog friendly! Definitely a gem in Avondale Estates!

Overall disappointed by the food at Leftie Lees. I had been once before and gotten the burrito…read morewhich had been very good. This time the food wasn't as good and we left disappointed. The KFC sandwich was pretty terrible which is surprising given all the good reviews. The gochujang was WAY too sweet, it felt like we were eating candy on a sandwich. The chicken was so fatty that most of it was inedible. The burrito was fine this time but barely had any peppers or onions. The potatoes were crispy but it was mostly just crispy skin and no actual potatoes. Maybe it was a one off day but based on the food, it's hard to say if we'll go back.

I absolutely adore this Asian bakery. It's very bare bones, but proves that you don't need frills…read moreand kitsch to sell a good bakery item. Everything I've gotten from here has been a hit. It even has managed to impress friends who don't adventure too far outside of their own American culinary tastes. The sweets here are the perfect amount of sweet. The savory items also contain a perfect hint of sweetness that somehow ties it all together. I've even had a matcha (less sugar) made here and my God it was unexpectedly delicious. I usually spend about $20-ish and share my bag full of goodies with my folks. I love that you can get a lot with a little -- the dollar still stretches here! Sometimes their open hours are a bit off, as if been before during regular hours and they've been closed. I'll also add that the entrance can be confusing as Family Baking shares space or simply is owned by Rolls Village. None of this stops me from stopping by. The cherry on top is that the service is truly phenomenal. I love being greeted where I spend money, and the guy who frequently mans the cash register has such great energy. He's efficient as hell too! When I visited, he skipped through the tipping portion of the POS both times... so I'm not sure if they accept tips but I won't complain too much about that LOL. Go!!!

This place has really nailed the recipe!! There other pastries and also delicious and I keep going back!!!

Might've just had my life changed.. Omfg. I FINALLY stopped…read morein after eyeing this place for the longest time. I've heard amazing things, but I don't live on this side of the city. Housesitting brought me to the neighborhood, and now I might have to make the trek regularly. I bought three sourdough bagels and a brown butter coconut cookie. My blood sugar was low and I absolutely could not resist eating the cookie on my way home. Wow.. It was so chewy and delicious. Both flavors come through really nicely. On to the bagels... These are, by far, the best bagels I've had in Atlanta. Honestly, they put the chain bagel spots to shame. The interior is really open and has that beautiful sourdough tang. They're perfectly crusted on the outside and provide a nice base for a spread/schmear. I'm so so impressed. Thank you Evergreen. I'll be back.

Great bakery in Atlanta! My friend and I shared a variety of pastries:…read more - Sausage Roll: The flavor was great and a generous amount of meat. Wish this was heated up though, I feel like it would've been better. - Oxtail Meat Pie: Similar to the sausage roll with a generous amount of meat but wish it was heated up. It was pretty hefty. - Strawberry Pistachio and Coconut Cream Danishes: Both were so good! I loved the crispy and crunchy danishes and the flavors were great in these. I like the savory pistachios and the creamy and crumbly coconut cream. - Chocolate Chip Cookie: This was such a delicious cookie! Perfectly made in between soft and firm and textures. The sea salt on top was chef's kiss. The lines move pretty fast. There's nowhere to sit and lounge, so you would need to take these pastries elsewhere to enjoy. The staff is also really nice and patient when my friend and I were trying to decide on pastries. Overall, I think these pastries would do good in an air fryer/oven. I would come back, but bring the pastries home to warm and crisp them up a bit. I also really want to try their burger which is only sold on the weekend at certain times!
