EXCELLENT food with new kitchen staff. Don't miss the Tara Tots, or the homemade chili Verde. The pastrami burger is awesome. Toco Tuesday is a great deal. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and fun to hang out with including the bar staff. Brunch on Sunday 10-2 is fabulous. Great outdoor dining. Live bands are great on the patio -- usually Thursday -Sunday - check schedule in Facebook.

Fantastic little place, we rode our side-by-side over the mountain from Logan, stopped in for a quick sandwich and beer; fantastic, we had the pastrami burger, onion rings, and two summer ales; the food was nice and hot, and the beer was very cold, we sat out on the shady deck, and received fantastic service! Close to the canyon, easy access, lots of parking, relaxing environment, comfortable place to hang out, and open on Sunday, we'll see you next time! If you're in Eden, this is the place where the cool people hang out; come join us! ;)

The place is very large with two main dining rooms and two bars. We were seated immediately and provided with water. We both ordered their margaritas and they were very good. I ordered the enchiladas and my wife had the shrimp tacos. Each order came with three items, three tacos, rice, and beans. Same for my enchiladas. So portions are very large as we could not finish and required a doggie bag. Service was great and portion size v. price is great. Glad we stopped and we will be going back often.

So here we go...So a big group of us went to the shooting star first and after talking all together we decided we would go to Carlos and Harleys instead for a late lunch. We all traveled from different places and wanted to try somewhere most people hadn't been. As soon as we walked through the door the hostess, Renee treated us awful!! We had 2 other people that had to make a quick stop and because they were not there they wouldn't seat us. Everyone was starving so we just told them to seat the 10 of us for that moment. Again Renee acted like we were putting her out because we said just go ahead and seat us. Not even 10 minutes later the other couple showed up and we asked to add an extra table. Renee stormed out, as we all watched to go talk to her manager. The bartender was so sweet and came to add the extra table. A few minutes later we were approached by the manger Janelle and she aggressively asked who wanted to speak to the manager. Which we never requested. She then argued with us about how many people we said we had in our group. RENEE knew we were waiting for 2 more! But Janelle wanted to argue with us instead of apologizing for the way her employee treated us! Most of us only ended up ordering appetizers to get us through because we were all hungry. We were very tempted to just leave and if we wouldn't have had so many people we would have! Service was good and so was the drinks. The bartender was just awesome, I didnt get his name. I never write reviews but I felt like this was a story that needed to be told! We will not be going back there again!

The last time we were at the Powder Keg was around 4 PM on New Years' Eve, & Mobius Wave (@mobius.wave) was performing. Nasty riffs! Six whole strings of bass! Souuuulll! The staff is generally very nice & friendly. The ordering situation, however, is a bit confusing. There's a station at the bar to order at, unless you sit directly at the bar & then they'll take your order from where you sit. We sat at the bar & ordered with a nice bartender & then waited for our food. Waited & waited & waited & waited. We then noticed the kitchen staff watching the band, just like us, & not doing any cooking. It looked like they were all caught up on food orders. That's when we realized that our food had been "up" for quite some time - at a pick-up station near the kitchen. No one had told us. Our ramen was cold. Our wings were cold. So even if you sit at the bar & order with the bar staff, the onus is still on you, the patron, to pick up your food when it's ready. As a system, that's fine! It just needs to be made clear. Maybe with tickets, deli style? Maybe with a screen displaying which orders are ready? Maybe they could at least deliver to bar seats, which are basically connected to the kitchen? There must be a way to prevent warm food from getting cold. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen. It wasn't really ramen. It was an Americanized ramen/pho medley. Egg noodles, ultra-hard boiled egg, pork, bean sprouts, mint, lime, jalapeños, etc. It was honestly kinda weird & flavorless - which is such a shame, because the pork was cooked perfectly. It just didn't taste like anything! The broth was akin to lukewarm water. I was really looking forward to our meal at the Powder Keg after a long day of snowboarding. I yearned for soup. The itch was only kinda scratched. The music was great, though. Oh yeah - Budweiser in an aluminum can cost $7. HUHHHH?!

I ordered the Hank's Smashburger which comes with two juicy brisket/short rib/chuck patties, melted American cheese, grilled onions, BBQ aioli, and a few jalapeños for good measure. One heck of a burger -- I couldn't believe how good it was. The Hank's Potatoes (red potatoes, onions, cheese, and bacon) were total hearty, soul-food perfection. After that, I had to dive into a scone with that heavenly honey butter. And you just can't leave without the Pie-Zuki -- a chocolate chip cookie topped with ice cream and whipped cream. Absolute dessert insanity in the best way. The dining room was cozy and comfortable. We even caught the Broncos playoff game while we ate. Loved seeing the picture of Hank on the wall -- he looks like a very good boy! We'll definitely be heading back to Hanks soon. Well worth the drive from Ogden Valley. We arrived on a night when they were having a group event for Plant Night. It looked interesting and the attendees were making fun terrarium planters. I stood at the counter awhile without service when the senior bar tender stood nearby and wouldn't look my way. Finally, the other bar tender who was very busy acknowledged me and gave me our drinks. It appeared that the senior bar tender thought we were with the plant group activity and didn't choose to wait on us. After some time passed and we played a few rounds of pool, the senior bar tender came over to our table and filled another round for us. He seemed more friendly and approachable at this point. They looked like they also had karaoke and paint class as activities and other theme nights. My only downside comment is that we did not have any food, but we experienced a rather terrible smell of old fryer grease penetrating through the entire bar. The food appeared to be prepared behind the bar with a counter top fryer. That smell did not encourage us to eat and we were glad to get some fresh air upon leaving.
