I hired this company to make and install 2 steel gates to replace old wooden gates at my house. I…read moregot a quote that was half price when compared to the big box stores, but that's where the good part ends. First issue is that my credit card was charged the full amount of the quote with another $200 added on that same day, both not cool and not legal either. Once I made my displeasure known I was offered a refund and he printed 2 cc refund slips totaling the full price on the spot as I said I would pay him in full with a check upon completion of the job. Now a week later the promised credit card refund still hasn't been processed by him so I simply disputed it with my bank and they will handle this nonsense. and obviously my check was cashed the very next day! The first smaller gate was constructed on day 1, but no lock and no paint. The 2nd larger gate was finished on day 2 by 9PM, so as you can imagine spray painting 2 gates in the dark causes overspray and many missed spots, also both gates are not securely fastened to the stucco of the house. On day 2 he had other customers stop by at my house so he could fix their little welding projects in my driveway, again not cool to give out my address to his other clients. Day 1 he cleaned up the metal shavings from the grinding down the welds as he said they would create rust stains on my concrete overnight. At the end of day 2 he didn't clean up anything after he was done. On my 2nd gate he started to take a shortcut by using screws to secure the steel mesh, and the mesh is also crooked. So overall my 'great deal' on 2 gates became 'I got what I paid for'... If you have a small project like a bike frame, or a welding repair job I am sure Wes will do a fine job, but when it comes to a larger job like on site manufacture and install I definitely do NOT recommend this company.

Miracle Fix: Jose and Lorenzo Saved My Miata. Answer to my…read moreprayers. Expert welders and fabricators. My Mazda developed a loud rattling and knocking noise underneath and no one could figure out why. I went to eight different shops. Each one gave me a different guess: heat shields, engine mounts, catalytic converter, "play in the differential," you name it. Nothing made sense, and the noise was so annoying at red lights and/or with foot on the brake . Finally, one honest shop (Thanh Auto in Garden Grove) spotted the real culprit: a big clean crack in the aluminum mounting bracket attached to the differential housing. Every mechanic I spoke with afterward told me the same thing: "Only solution is to drop the entire differential and replace it." Translation: very expensive. Thanh's expert ( Keith) suggested welding the crack, but every welding shop I contacted said the same thing -- "No space. We'd have to remove the differential before welding. Almost as costly as replacing the whole diff." Then I found Jose at OC Fabrication on Yelp. Within minutes of sending him a photo, he replied ...fast, professional, and confident. He said it might be doable without removing the diff, but he needed to inspect in person. He even gave me two honest estimates: a higher price if the diff needed to come out, and a much lower one if he could reach it in place. He squeezed me in after hours the very next day. He and his welder Lorenzo crawled under the car, inspected the crack, and confirmed they could do it without removing anything. They carefully jacked the differential to realign the broken ear, cleaned the aluminum, welded it beautifully, and then reinforced it with additional metal. All in under 90 minutes. When we test drove the car afterward -- night and day. Smooth. Quiet. Solid. The rattling and knocking that haunted me for a weeek? Gone. Jose told me straight: most shops wouldn't even attempt this kind of repair. But he and Lorenzo took it on with skill, confidence, pride in their craft, and real customer care. They solved a problem that eight other shops shrugged at. I can't recommend these guys enough. Professional, talented, honest, and genuinely passionate about their work. Bravo, Jose and Lorenzo.
