I went here to get a preemployment drug screening. It's kind of a strange business model. You walk…read morein and there's no person anywhere to talk to. You check in on a kiosk. It's crazy busy and the kiosk told me to come back 4 1/2 hours later. OK, no problem. But I was feeling a little concerned so I tried to call the customer service line to make sure they can take my paperwork. Still no human to talk to. Only an AI assistant who can make or break an appointment for you. They cannot answer any questions. So I go back at the time it told me to, wait in the waiting area for 20 minutes. They call me back and the attendant was very nice, but she had never seen the type of paperwork I had for the preemployment drug screening. So long story short, they could not do my test and I spent most of the business day trying to figure it out. They were nice and they did give me a list of labs that might possibly do it. I would return to this business, it seems like they do a lot of lab tests that are reasonably priced that you can pay for independently. Stuff that your doctor might give you a hard time about like hormone, testing, etc. But don't come here with a preemployment drug screening.

I took my very confused dementia ridden Mother to this quest location today. It's is not her…read moreregular Quest location she frequents so that caused some confusion and discomfort. I told her I chose this one because it's cleaner, friendly and less crowded. Well our experience today confirmed my position in choosing this location. We were helped by a young man named Miguel who was kind, caring, attentive, and patient. We did not have our typical Jack in the box drive thru experience as we usually do at our former location (Howe and Fair Oaks). Kudos to Miguel and who ever manages this location.

Unacceptable 15-Minute Notice Cancellation…read more I arrived at 7:00 AM for a scheduled 7:30 AM fasting blood draw. There was zero physical signage on the door indicating the Quest lab was closed for building maintenance. I only received a digital cancellation notice at 7:15 AM. Furthermore, this happened on a Monday morning. There is no excuse for corporate management not to notify patients over the weekend that scheduled building maintenance would close the lab. Because this building offers a 20-minute parking grace period, a simple sign on the front door would have allowed patients to immediately turn around and exit the parking lot for free. By leaving no physical notice, waiting patients were forced to exceed that 20-minute window and pay for parking at a closed facility. A last-minute cancellation like this is completely unacceptable for patients who are actively fasting or relying on strict medical transport and family schedules. Leaving patients stranded outside with no physical sign on the door is incredibly poor management.

I have had quite a few imaging tests here over the nine years I've lived in Sacramento: ultrasound,…read morexray, MRI, and mammograms. Overall the experiences have been pretty good. Sometimes the wait times are long for walk in appointments, like the xrays. I have heard from an xray technician at another location that the xray machines are old here and sometimes don't work. i feel like the staff here are really pi**ed off sometimes and that adds stress to your imaging appointment. But then sometimes the folks working here are really kind. It depends. A few months ago my 87 year old Dad had some complicated imaging for his heart and was pretty worn out. We shared an elevator with some just off duty nurses who were really inappropriate. Definitely do that stuff at happy hour after your shift ends not in the elevator, and made a joke about when/how we could get out of the elevator. Not cool. I've had a horrible experience with an annual mammogram here and also a stellar low pain mammogram ...and treated with dignity. The inner waiting room for mammograms is calming and the environment as of late is excellent and supportive. 75% excellent, 25% difficult/unpleasant. Parking is low cost ($2 on average, cash only) at the lot integrated in the building. Very convenient location if you live in Midtown, East Sac, or adjacent areas. Mammogram check in is at ground floor, must use the elevator or steps for all other tests and go to the basement. The elevator can be a bit confusing and buttons on only one side, despite a cavernous space and doors that open on both sides.
