In the past, I'd simply arm myself with a can of Spider Killer and spray them as I encountered them. Now I'm older and wiser and decided to hire professionals to spray instead, so I wouldn't have to have anxiety and mini heart attacks every time I'd see a black widow. Looked on Yelp to find a company nearby my parents' home with high Yelp reviews. Good Earth was my first choice. Getting pricing info and making an appointment was seamless with Yelp's messaging system. Kevin was so helpful in keeping me apprised of the process and the appointment time/date. On the day of, Zack showed up promptly and with a smile. I was so surprised when he told me my one-time treatment would actually allow follow-up visits within 30 days. He told me the first treatment would be spraying and then the second treatment would be getting rid of the webs. Wow, what a great deal! Both days Zack was punctual, friendly and professional. We even talked about the celebrities he looks like! (You'll have to meet him in person to guess which celebrity) On the second treatment day, he came armed with a cobweb brush and I actually felt kinda embarrassed because it was like he was doing housekeeping for the spiderwebs! Excellent experience and so far I haven't seen any spiders left! Highly recommend this company. All Clear was one of the two companies that returned my call and thankfully they were able to get a technician out sooner. They sent Grant out a few days later to evaluate our property. Grant let me know ahead of time he was coming so I was prepared. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He evaluated the situation and spent 45 minutes going over my options with me. In the end a lot of what could be done was dependent on me purchasing products myself and doing work but I felt a lot more confident about what to do and how to proceed. His information was extremely valuable and he didn't even charge me for the visit! Several weeks later and the rats are far fewer in number. I would definitely recommend calling All Clear Pest Control for your pest problems.

There was an issue with my mold test report from another company and Andrew, the owner, was kind enough to give me a 2nd opinion over yelp messages free of charge, which is why I eventually seeked them out to do a full air testing themselves. Amanda, the technician, came and did a post-remediation air quality test after the mold issue have been resolved and was extremely thorough and careful, exponentially more than the other 2 mold testers that I've used. She answered a ton of my questions with great knowledge and detail, and was extremely helpful in giving me a better understanding of mold and the situation in general. She spent A LOT of time, in contrast to other two mold testing companies that only spent 20mins max. Not only were they more professional, thorough, and answered all of my questions, they also charged me very reasonably for the amount of time and effort they put into their air testing. The last 3 months was quite an ordeal and my only regret is that I did not find this company to begin with. If I have any air quality/mold issues I'll be sure to seek them out again.

Saw items that could be corrected on a punch list for a flipper. But more importantly, he found the concern which was under the mobile home and the foundation. He then did an excellent job walking us through everything and providing a great detailed report. PS the age of the mobile home did not require an inspection - always get an inspection! The second time was to buy a single family home. Same quality service. He coordinated with our real estate agent. He even found the leak in the master bath which was disappointing, but not a deal breaker. Same detailed report which allowed the seller to make repairs with their home warranty before the house closed escrow. I would highly recommend David. He is methodical, clear to understand, detail orientated, and provides a genuine answer. Both times I called and made the appointment and was always able to get an appointment time within a reasonable window.

I found James of Sacramento Home Inspections on Yelp; he turned out to be everything the reviews…read moresaid. We had him do an inspection on a brand new Lennar home. The Lennar agent seemed insulted that we wanted an inspection, but after reading about the problem of finding competent local workers, we thought it would be worthwhile. BTW our RE agent says they always act insulted. James' drone found some cracked tiles on the roof, which Lennar replaced. The most important thing was perhaps James' documentation of all the safety features of the home--like where the shut-offs were for the electrical and solar system and AC. He also recommended something I had never heard of, a FloodStop device that automatically shuts off the water to, say, a washing machine if a leak is detected. Our RE agent said if she had had one, it would have saved her being out of her home for 10 months while the water damage from HER leak was being fixed. We are going to put them in our residence and all our (4) rental homes. That recommendation alone paid for James' inspection. The report itself was very well organized; it will serve as a written guide for future residents of the house. The Lennar superintendent had given us a guided tour of all the features--sprinklers! Tesla battery! and more. But as with a doctor's visit, 80% is quickly forgotten. James' report, however, will be in a drawer in the kitchen as a guide in case of future problems. We have a lot of peace of mind that was easily worth the cost of the inspection--even for a brand-new home.

One thing that made Zenith stick out besides the certifications and Google's AI suggesting him over the others was services like thermal scan was included in his quote, so great value in not having to second guess on any potential extra fees if I wanted (and did) have concerns of a leak in the wall(s). John was great, but hopefully I won't need him again as I do not plan on buying another home... at least in CA.

From our convo I could feel that he wants to protect the homeowner and give them the most information about their potential new home so they can make good judgements on such a big investment. Unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to use them for our situation but if your home does not have a limit on how long the home can be inspected, I would highly recommend going with Gary. Gary was also super kind to extend the offer to answer any additional questions I might have. That's saying a lot because time is money and to offer it out of kindness shows that he's a man of good character. Really wish I knew about him years ago.
