When we moved into our current home, I noticed some black spots on our bathroom ceiling. I immediately called Cal Pro and they said that they could do a mold test that would tell us what kind of mold it was. We paid $350 for this service. The test results came back that it wasn't mold... We thought that was weird but moved on to other things we needed to do. Unfortunately now that some time has passed we have realized that this actually IS indeed mold and now our mold issue has grown. It is frustrating knowing that it was definitely mold on our ceiling when we got it tested and we are now going to have to do expensive mold remediation services because the test results were incorrect. We called Cal Pro to see if they would do a courtesy retest of the area (since the original test was incorrect and we still don't know what kind of mold this is). They said that they are only responsible for swabbing the areas and they don't actually test the swabs and that if we have any issues we need to contact the company that actually did the testing. This other company is on the East Coast and I have not been able to get a hold of them yet. We are very unhappy with our experience using Cal Pro. I would not recommend them for anyone needing mold testing. read more

Josh did a very thorough job in a very timely manner. He showed up on time (was even a few minutes early), took lots of photos, and was very observant of all details. The finished report was all inclusive and easy to understand. This inspection was done on a just built new home. My only regret is I didn't ask for this inspection by CalPro at an earlier point - say when framing on the construction had been completed. I called CalPro Inspection Group to provide wood rot repair at my rental property. Danielle was very responsive and scheduled us for 1 week later. Both Doug and Dan came out and was very professional and courteous. They even painted the window trims and door trim after they primed the areas as long as I provided the paint. This was supposed to be a one day job to complete all windows and door frame, but took longer as some window trim removal took longer. They cam back the next day without hesitation and completed the work. They did a great job cleaning everything up at the end of the job as well.
