The sandwich has nothing but cheese (with no flavor) thick slices of bell pepper, mushrooms, and onion. This is the worst veggie sandwich I've tried to eat. If you don't want to make a veggie sandwich take it off the menu. Why would anyone eat whole broccoli heads on a sandwich. It's like Dr Now from my 600lb life put this together. I came here for lunch and I got a turkey sub , I never had an ac roll before so I wanted to try it and see what the hype was about as I heard mixed things. The inside restaurant was pretty nice , clean , the staff was friendly. I had specifically ask for no oil on my Sivan's of course they put oil on it so I was pretty disappointed. I think maybe I should of got the sun toasted because I definitely wasn't digging the type of roll , I think I'm to use to sub rolls that are fluffy not the way AC rolls are. Ordered with a group from work - it was a large order but itarrived pretty quickly - everything was correct. However - the lettuce was brown - there was way too much onions - and they forgot the mayo on the bread. The bread itself was cut through and everything fell out the bottom. Sucka for a sub! While doing laundry in the Absecon Shooping center, I figured I'd grab a bite to eat. Walk down to Sac to view what they had to offer. Upon entering, I was greeted and offered seating at the booth. Ask what was recommended, and of course I was told they "are known for their cheese steaks." So that's what I ordered, along with French fries and a small potato salad. Don't judge, I didn't know what i wanted for a side. The sun came out within 10 minutes after ordering. It was good and all the veggies on it was fresh and flavorful. The meat was juicy and thick. I've had better but this was really close. The fries had a flavorful crispy outer to them and were amazingly hot. The potato salad came in a small cup. I could taste the scallions and celery in it but could not figure out the spices they used to give it a different taste. It was good and nothing was overpowering anything else. I looked over the menu and was going to have an Italian sub but literally everyone who called in an order or came to pick one up, ordered the cheesesteak so I went with that. Half Cheesesteak w lettuce & oil with provolone, it was delicious for $8. It looked small but turned out to be very filling on super fresh bread. I don't normally turn a Cheesesteak into a Hoagie but it really tasted great. It reminded me of my college days at Rowan. I an visiting the AC area and ordered Sack O' Subs to be delivered. The lady that answered the phone sounded like she had NO idea where the sandwiches would be delivered. After waiting over an hour I was told that they don't deliver to hotel rooms and that my food was left at the front desk! The driver gave the front desk clerk the wrong room number so my food just sat there! By the time I FINALLY located my food it was cold and ruined! Used to live near the mothership in Ventnor when I was a kid. Fast forward many years later and now reside in close proximity to the Absecon location. Sack O's does two subs as good or better than anyone else. The "special" which is a regular with extra meat and the whipped tuna with provolone. The sandwiches are huge. One of the nice cashiers suggested that I eat half now and half later. I did it one better. Since I pick up Italian bread at Rando in Aycee once a month, I just tranfer half of the meat to another sub roll and eat it the next day. So a half of a half sub is really enough to satisfy my hunger. Other subs I have tried: the meatball is good, not great. Same goes for the steak sub. Staff is friendly. I got the Sack O' Special sub and my girlfriend got the chicken salad sub and they were both incredible. Stopped here for a Philly Sub on the way to Atlantic City. Made the mistake of asking if they had whole wheat heros , the lady behind the counter looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. She said they had submarine rolls. Come on, really? You work at a sandwich shop and you don't know that people from different parts of the country use different names for long sandwich rolls? Prices of sandwiches sky rocketed this year. The past 3 times including today I get a mouth and belly full of bread! Don't get be wrong, I love the bread but when you look forward to that salami, ham and cheese full size sub and theres only 1 slice of each in the sandwich theres a problem. We come up from CT each weekend and we look forward to going and getting a full sub from Saco subs. When you raise prices and skimp on the meet in the sandwiches, thats robbing your loyal customer's from that tAste pleasure that made you a successful local deli. There used to be a spanish worker with thick black hair and an Elvis hair style. He used to make the best sandwiches. I have not seen him all summer. Theres two other sandwich makes now. A short newer guy and the other spanish guy. One worse than the other in making good sandwiches. The owned Son isnt a good sandwichmaker either. Stingy with the meat!!! Ordered the "chicken cacciatore" and it was disgusting. I wanted to return my order and get something simple like chicken wings but I would still be required to pay for the nasty sandwich. The waiter said it was management decision. Maybe management should try that sandwich. Why put something on the menu that's nasty? I will never eat there again. Only complaint my fiance found was his sausage pepper and onions sandwich.. the sausage was cut so thin(like any there) that it was more pepper and onions then anything..my buffalo chicken sub wasn't bad I prefer the cut up chicken steak style but how they did theirs wasn't bad the buffalo sauce could use a little more on the subs to add the buffalo flavor I didn't really notice it sadly. You cannot go wrong with Sack O' Subs no matter what sandwich you order. Sandwiches I've tried and can personally recommend: Italian Tuna Pepper and Egg Chicken Caesar Pizza Steak One of the keys to Sack O's making such a good sandwich is their bread. They get their bread from Formica Brothers and if you live in the area you know what that means. It's a delicious, crusty, soft italian bread that goes perfect with a sub. Pretty good subs.. yeah the bread is pretty good. the 6" sub is actually pretty huge given how much stuff is stuffed in along with the filling bread, i think the base 6" sub starts at $6 or so and goes up depending on what you get.. I had their default option for dinner and it was plenty to fill me up.. i showed up at 7:59 pm just as they were getting ready to close (close at 8 on weekdays except friday) and was in the mildly embarassing situation of having to go to my car to grab a bunch of dimes and nickels and pennies and quarters to have enough to pay for my sub since they had already closed out the debit/credit card machine, but they were pretty patient with the situation which i appreciated.. read more

Great service and pretty tasty veggie sub (I got a half sub with provolone and green peppers). A half sub is definitely filling, I can't imagine being able to complete a whole one. I'm knocking this down to 3 stars because of my boyfriend's order. He ordered a fried chicken parm sub and he was sick the rest of the night. He said it tasted fine when he ate it but clearly it didn't agree with him. He said 1 star, I said 4 stars, so we settled on 3.
