In the last few months I have seen a change in this location, change in the right direction. Food is delicious as always but the service is now outstanding, the staff is always friendly & helpful. We enjoy this place for any type of meal breakfast, lunch or dinner... or even for a nice coffee and dessert. But have been back three times since then, and have noted crazy price changes: Last week the cachapas were $14.99; 2 days later were $15.99; today $18.29. My co workers and I have ordered from this restaurant a good amount of times since we work really close from here. The food on its own is pretty good and the customer service is okay. My only concern is this place can get very busy so it does take a while and you also have to go before 2-3 pm to get the most popular meals because they run out FAST during lunch hour. We've had our moments when ordering over the phone and having it delivered they have forgotten some orders or got them messed up, but they do always accept what they did wrong and are willing to bring it right over. All in all they are very respectful and understanding and have pretty good food. My favorite is the chicken and mushroom in white sauce (delicious) and pastel de maíz (my jobs FAVORITE) and you can always have substitutions if you don't like something or want something different. read more

I joined some friends today and gave this place a shot. The restaurant is in a mid size plaza and has both inside and outside seating. The restaurant is a decent size inside and has every single Venezuelan snacks on the counter to choose from. We sat down and ordered and the service was good. We ordered several different dishes so we got to try a few different things. We ordered a cachapa which was good and we all shared, also an order of tequeños which was decent. Then each one of us ordered an arepa and we got to try all of them. They were all great except for the reina pepiada which was nothing to write home about. The mix for the reina was under salted and needs to be readjusted by the chef, maybe also integrate more avocado into the mix and some lime. Lastly, the par hora juice was delicious and so was the arepa with pernil and yellow cheese. I'll definitely come back to this place next time I'm in el Doral. read more

Business charges 18% tip on my purchase without announcing it before swiping my card. It was not a dine in. It was a take out purchase. Everyone was charged an 18% tip for making a takeout purchase because according to the Manager/Owner, it is a special day. Pff! Special day for you and I see why. What a lame excuse. I requested to be refunded and the clerk did not process a full refund until I reviewed the refund ticket and noticed. $$ amounts were missing. I demanded the total refund. So he did and when he did he did it from the back of the store without having my credit card on hand. UNBELIEVABLE!!! The owner/manager says it's totally legal to charge the 18% tip even if you're purchasing takeout only for today the 31st because it's special day. Without your permission. I'm not posting his name. Wanted a late night meal and this was the only place open till 11. It is located in the shopping center behind the cvs. The place was pretty busy during the week and would you guess full of Venezuelans. I'm Hispanic so I felt right at home. The menu has a food variety of food options as well and drinks and fruit juices. I ordered several empanadas, the Colombian, carne mechada, and the Pabellón. The mechada was my favorite one. They all came out hot and they come with a green sauce that is delicious. My least favorite was the Colombian one that was just cheese. I'm not sure if they messed up on it or it comes that way but it's just plain. The flavors on both of the other ones were good. Not too overpowering and the came out very hot. The mango juice was decent as well. Not amazing but good. This is a popular restaurant in the area and offers a good variety of Venezuelan food. I saw a bunch of people ordering the tequenos so next time I'll give them a try. Not a bad spot for a late night snack. read more

The service was excellent super friendly staff that's very attentive to the tables and the customers needs. Everything we ordered was great super flavorful and it all tasted freshly made. The tequenos were to die for ! And so were the arepitas which are just mini arepas . They tasted sweet too it was so good they served it with cheese on the side to eat with it. Inside is super cute not a huge restaurant but very cute decor there's an beautiful painting covering the whole wall of Venezuelan landmarks.
