Some things just never change--and honestly, I hope they never do…read more I've been coming to Ixtapa in Silverton since I was a little girl, and after all these years, the food, the atmosphere, and the hospitality are still just as amazing as I remember. But let's be honest... THIS is what I've always looked forward to at the end of every meal. Apparently I've reached the age where I have to make sure I request my whipped-cream-covered delish treat, instead of waiting for it. Can't leave with out it! I've loved these since I was just a little! But after all these years, it still tastes like childhood. There's something really special about a family-owned local restaurant that stays true to itself--the familiar faces, the same welcoming feeling, and those little traditions you remember growing up with. Thank you, Ixtapa, for never changing. Some things are simply too good to outgrow. If you have not visited this lovely restaurant, you are definitely missing out. Whether you are locals or traveling thru, you have to stop by! -Tiffany LeAnne Thomas -- eating lunch at Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant.

Find me a place that has $2.00-$2.50 tacos and $7 burritos that taste just as good as these! And I love the variety of salsas they make. They have four: medium (yellow. I think it was some type of mango salsa? It was on the sweeter side, mild (light green...i think verde?), mild/hot (red, this one had a kick and chipotle flavor), hot (darker green). The red chipotle and hot green salsas were my fave. They are on the corner of Lancaster Dr SE and Durbin Ave SE in a huge empty lot so parking is very easy.

It was nice sitting under the patio umbrella where we could enjoy the warm weather without getting blasted by sun. We both had Camerones Ala Crema. This is a dish we order frequently at different Mexican restaurants. It was terrific, and I'll certainly return to have it again. The food was very plentiful. It was too much for either of us to finish, and we took it home to reheat later for another meal. It appeared there was twice as much shrimp in the dish than other restaurants serve. Thank you for a great meal!

Dang, I love this place…read more My boys and I come here often. They love the corn tortillas and I'm big on flour. The chips and salsa are absolutely incredible, and they provide you two kinds automatically; mild and spicy. Love it! I often times get the chili colorado but now and then go for the fajitas. It's always good. Really good. The wait staff are incredible, consistently checking in with refills and more chips and salsa, on request. The food comes out relatively quickly but always tastes fresh, so there's no feel of it being premade. The restaurant itself looks like a typical Mexican restaurant, but isn't that big. Regardless, I've never had to wait for a seat because the staff are very efficient about taking orders, delivering food, and handling everything they need to. Seriously, we come here often and will continue to do so. Love this place!
