The location is fantastic in downtown Derry. They have ample parking and outdoor and indoor dining. Everyone is hospitable and the service is fast. We started with the wedge salad, delicious! We then ordered the chicken & eggplant parmigiana combo dinner with house made fusilli pasta. It was super flavorful and the portion was huge, enough for 2 people. We also ordered the Chicken Sabotino. This came with house made cavatelli pasta. The dish was also large and very tasty. We were too full for dessert as we also filled up on the delicious bread and olive oil that was on the table moment after we sat down. We will certainly be back! This is a bar that serves "Italian" food. The wedge salad needs more dressing, bacon bits, etc. The lasagna is a three inch thick slab of something. Lacks meat and sauce in the lasagna. It appears that the pour a little meat sauce over the slab. Poor in taste. I doubt it was fresh. I ate about 20%. No one asked why I ate so little of it. No manager table checks. No one ever asked us how the food was. Not even our waitress. I asked a lady who was cleaning picking up dirty plates, glasses, etc. for the Wi-Fi password when she refilled our bread basket. She said she did not know and we would have to ask our waitress. Staff needs training. I give it two stars because the facility is nice, the wine was ample, as was the Diet Pepsi. read more

My friends and I went to Sabatino's and we were blown away by their food! We were going to go down the road to another restaurant but they were closed, so as a last resort we pulled into Sabatinos last minute without knowing what it was. The atmosphere was amazing, our waiter was extremely friendly and the food was outstanding! This will be our new hangout spot, it's definitely worth it! read more

Just tried this place for the first time. It was a Saturday night and the place was surprisingly slow. We dined inside. The place is small but comfortable. The menu had a lot of options for everyone. We shared the calamari appetizer - which was melt in your mouth amazing. I had the stuffed chicken parmigiana, which was perfect. My wife went old school with the lasagna, and she was very happy with the food. My son got the lobster ravioli and he said it was perfect and very rich and filling. Services was un-rushed and pleasant. They exceeded my expectations and there was nothing I thought they could do better. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Sabatinos was great! They allowed us to make a reservation for 6 ahead of time. They were warm and friendly upon arrival. 2 from our were late due to Boston traffic, and they still didn't have issue seating us so we could start on drinks ahead of time. My only con was their bread was dry and almost stale and their anti-pasta salad didn't have a lot of meat. The lobster Ravi, veal Parm, and eggplant Parm were phenomenal! We usually go to a place in Salem but decided to do take-out from Sabatinos's. We ordered 3 orders of Chicken Parm w/ rigatoni and one order ofchicken & veal parm with rigatoni. All orders were made with Penne, I guess they don't know the difference. The sauce was not good and the pasta was pretty dry. The order was $100 so not cheap. On a weekend adventure to this area we stumbled upon this location. It was great to see the outdoor dining and especially the live music with the outdoor tables and warmers running. After a modest wait (totally understandable), we were seated inside. Tony our waiter was wonderfully accommodating, including the hostesses. The 3-star review is really due to the poor food quality and absolutely not about the excellent service. We had some top-shelf bourbon with some appetizers. We had the eggplant rollatini which was disappointment, mainly due to way too much ricotta cheese. The arancini balls was okay, but the soup was not good at all (escarole). It tasted like the kitchen ran out of soup but poured in hot water to make up the portion. The veal brocilotini (sp?) was just okay too. Too long of a wait even though there were 6 empty tables. Painfully slow service. Not enough help. They should not open outside seating if they can't handle it. Seemed like the staff was out of sync. Portabella mushroom with shrimp was delicious. Steak tips were salty, overcooked and dry. Ordered them medium rare. Chicken dishes were pretty bad as well. Very tuff texture like it was microwaved frozen. Had to wait 20 minutes for a drink because they didn't have enough glasses. So bad. Waste of money. Not like it used to be. Worst Italian meal I've ever had. What they call "antipasto" is a poor version of a chefs salad. The lasagna was terrible. It was like they blended jar tomato sauce and ricotta cheese into a paste and smeared it in between the layers. Awful. read more

Outdoor seating is very convenient and comfortable in the warmer months. Nothing exceptionally outstanding or a specific dish to drive for. If you are looking for Italian food it will certainly feed your craving. With few options for this cuisine in the area it is one of the better choices. read more

we decided to try a new to us Italian Restaurant tonight. We were greeted at the door by a wonderful Hostess who sat us. She spoke with us as if she knew us. The bus boy came over immediately and filled our water glasses as well as delivering fresh warm bread and oil for dipping. Our waitress Krista was very attentive as well a great server. We wanted for nothing as she took good care of us. Freindly staff, clean, pleasant experience. Food was excellent, hot and plated nicely. First the positives, the drinks are made well and the food is spectacular. We've been a number of times and have ordered many different items, never been disappointed. Good sauce, the Best meatballs I've ever had from a restaurant. Decent service, although we shouldn't have to ask that empty plates and bread basket that was sitting on the table even after we got our meals, be removed The atmosphere is pretty loud, which I suppose there's not much they can do to fix. The greatest peeve is a young kid running around the restaurant the entire time we were there. Many employees would play with the kid and just let him go, seemingly thinking everyone should think it's cute.. it's not. The employees are getting paid to take care of the customers, not babysit. Maybe pay a babysitter so your customers can have a great dining experience. read more

To start with the positives, the cocktails are tasty and strong and our server was great. My husband and I enjoyed the arancini for an appetizer. He had the chicken sabatino for dinner and thought it was excellent. I opted for the veal braccioletini. The pasta and sauce were really great. Unfortunately the veal was terrible. It was so tough that it was inedible and kinda ruined the entree for me. I would go back but would definitely order a non-veal entree. read more

I was in town with my mom amd we were both in the mood for some italian, so we stumbled into this place around 9 pm. Late for a dinner, but the place still had plenty of folks seated. At first, I was a little worried, since our table was being balanced out by coasters under two of the legs. Otherwise, the space was fairly inviting. The bar tv screens were a little out of place for a warm space. It gave it a little bit of a sportsbar vibe while the space seemed to be striving for a more rustic feel. The food was good! Homemade pasta was a nice find. I kept it very basic with a pasta in alfredo sauce, and I believe the alfredo was also homemade. Good sauce. The plate was dusted with parsley which was was wholly unnecessary. My mother liked her order of meatballs over pasta. It was a simple meal in an inviting space. Veal Bracioletini in lemongarlicwine sauce with a side of Angel hair pasta in Alfredo sauce( my choice to go white sauce not red) was fabulous! So big that I will get four servings from it! First time visit for a low-key girls night out. It was busy for a Friday night, but that was expected. I did not expect the place to be so small, but the size does help with the cozy atmosphere. The bar was full and the entrance too, so there were few spots to stand and have a drink while waiting for a table. The ladies taking names and seating parties were super friendly and accommodating. Once seated, our server was quick to greet us and take orders...warm and friendly too. I enjoyed my stuffed chicken parm...the chicken was cooked perfectly and it was huge portion! Dennis and I made a visit to Derry to try out this new Italian restaurant. Located in the heart of downtown Derry, this place is small and narrow, as the space is in a old storefront building. The tables are a bit cramped and close together with the amount of tables they had. It was Friday night and they had a full bar and a full house. Nicely decorated with a bar in the front, flat screen TV, and an average sized dining room in back, the space is unpretentious and comfortable. To start, a had a classic vodka martini ($7.00) and Dennis had his usual Arnold Palmer. Bread and oil were welcoming as was the good service. I had a the artichoke special which was fried artichoke hearts in a lemon butter sauce. Dennis had a very rich and satisfying bowl of pasta fagoli. For din-din we both had a chicken pasta dish which was sauteed bacon and onion, with chicken in a spicy marinara with fusilli which was rich and the chicken moist and pasta cooked perfectly. Service was attentive, and friendly. We will definably go back. The meal was a bit pricey (75.00 w/ tip for 2 ). read more

I cannot say enough good things about the customer service at Sabatuno's. I arrived without a reservation, but they bent over backwards to tell me which tables would free up when. I sat at the bar to wait for my friends. The owner came over to me to make sure I knew that he wasn't putting others ahead of me and my party - who hadn't arrived yet! He wanted to make sure I knew he wasn't prioritizing others over my party. Once we sat down, the owner personally came to our table to make sure we were having a stellar experience & we were.
