S Rank Games - Pathfinder players at the new gaming table - Tabletop Games Near Me - Ontario, California

Let me start off by saying it's clear a lot of people love this place. Tables were packed with ongoing games, plenty of people were coming in to browse and make purchases, and the cutest dog was trotting around. That being said, I don't think I'll be returning. I'll explain why. A concern of mine is being a woman in a predominantly male hobby. I've recently gotten back into Pokemon and was hoping to find a nice, welcoming card shop locally. Saw this place on social media and decided to give it a try. To the shop's credit, the man at the register was nice to me and I felt welcomed. When I asked if they do trades, the man told me they do if it's anything worth more than $1. Cool, my cards are worth more than that! However, he then passed me over to an older gentleman to inspect my cards. This gentleman was talking to a male customer and had been for some time. I didn't want to disturb, so I stood there quietly waiting my turn. Soon enough, the older gentleman took maybe two or three seconds to eye my cards over. Didn't price check. Just told me they aren't interested and dismissed me pretty bluntly. He immediately continued talking with the male customer he'd previously been chatting with. It felt like he was bothered by me being there. In turn, I felt like I was a waste of space in the shop. I'm okay being rejected, but the way I was talked to/handled made me feel unwelcomed. I finished my purchase and promptly left, feeling a little icky about my experience. I'd wanted to make this my go-to shop, but I don't know if I feel comfortable going back. I don't expect special treatment as a woman, but I would at least like basic decency. I also don't post this review lightly. I just want to give a heads up to other women thinking of checking out the shop, especially if you're going alone or with other women. I think that maybe if I was with a man or even a man myself, the older gentleman would've treated me a little better. At the very least, I hope young women going into the shop have a much better experience than I did. I truly hope I am a one-off moment. read more

Really nice place! Gian was super nice and helpful. Very happy with the experience, will most likely come back.

I was a new customer, However, today I received poor customer service from Tom. I accidentally payed for the same card sleeves on two separate transactions and went in to get a refund for the accidental second purchase. The first purchase of the item without an account and the second time purchasing the same item without an account. Tom demanded the time of purchase but I was not given a receipt during the first time purchasing the item and was only given a receipt the second time purchasing. After stating an estimate of the time of purchase, finally receiving my refund for the accidental second purchase, Tom refused to give me my item back stating it was a return, which it was not. Luckily another store associate from whom I purchased it from stepped in and stated I had accidentally purchased it twice based on proof from my banking statements. It was not stated but I could sense I was being accused of trying to scam or steal by Tom, which I was most definitely not, with me stating to look at the cameras. I had simply made a mistake in purchasing the same item twice but Tom had made the interaction extremely diffi As a new customer I was once excited to find a new card shop near my school. However, after facing hostility from the "boss", I will no longer be coming back. I had worked customer service for many years and the way I was treated is not how you treat a brand new customer. Do better. read more

They are so friendly here! I've been to other card shops and been completely ignored so I really appreciate their customer service. My husband and I went to go check out some Pokémon cards. They have a pretty good selection. Inside is clean and organized. There are plenty of tables and chairs to play games. They also hold tournaments and paint events. Great, clean and new card shop with ample clean tables to play games or just build your deck on! My hubby stubled upon this place before it opened and we've enjoyed checking out their card collections and other cars gaming items for sale. Our 6 year old son loves visiting! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the items. They will even go above and beyond to share items of your interests. Pricing is market value and they are open to buying cards as well. Drinks are allowed but it's noted to please keep the areas clean. There are snacks and drinks for purchase as well. Overall, a nice atmosphere for card game lovers! read more

First and foremost want to shout out the cleanliness and friendly atmosphere of this shop. Not only did they greet me when they walked in but they were kind to my two kids (2) and (3) who are a handful and very energetic. I came with a box of singles and they looked up comps and made a deal that was very fair and respectful. They have products at reasonable prices and , good value , and I can see myself coming here more often. One of the better stores card shops around for sure. They have a nice selection of Pokemon and one piece singles , Weiss Schwartz , and MTG. They even have some binders to check out and bulk in the back with board games. read more

Oh nice just making sure! *hangs up phone on me* I drive 45 minutes to the store only for them to say they have too much inventory and they aren't interested in buying right now. I'm struggling to eat and support myself now I just wasted gas coming here! read more

Just left the store. Tried buying a umbreon ex from prismatic. A 7 dollar card on tcg player. And was told it was 67 dollars and when showed the woman helping me she said no they won't honor that they're gonna stick to the price of what was being scanned on the back of the card and that said 67 dollars Needless to say I did not pick it up and left with a few dollar cards Complete letdown. Edit*** please sleeve your cards in the binders Edit/2 owner replied so that's kinda big. Might give this shops another try. read more

5 stars for S Rank Games! Nathan, Vince, and Greg were super helpful while I was shopping for Riftbound. It's a great spot for TCG players, especially if you're just starting out. Highly recommend checking them out! read more

If you are here to play commander this is not the place. Player base is very dishonest and full of players who like to play stronger decks against new players. In fact they say the shop encourages this behavior. Do not come here if you are new this shop is not welcoming to new or lower tier players read more

Welcoming employees was looking for Pokemon cards. Balanced pricing at market, for singles.

Super friendly and chill shop, My friend and I were able to meet two of the owners Nathan and Vince. These guys are very knowledgeable of their TCGs and are willing to help and answer questions. We were able to play a 2v2 of Riftbound and were helping us while playing like game tips and how to make certain combos with the cards we played. We plan to keep going back. Also the cards are not over priced and have common folders ranging from 25 cents was able to get a a few holographic cards. read more

The staff here is always welcoming. There's a decent amount of space here to play games which is nice. They have a lot of events, and I like that you can sign up and see their schedule on their website. They also have free board games available to play at the store like catan and betrayal at house on the hill! My favorite parts are the comfy chairs and the nice a/c though. Very good store. read more

Fantastic card shop. Lots of space to play, but also a good selection of cards and sealed product that is at, or below market price. Super friendly, and when i asked some super basic questions i didn't know the answer to, they were super helpful in getting me answers. I will be back for sure. read more

love this place!! fair prices and they have a nice selection of pokemon stock! the staff are beyond helpful and sweet :)

Walked in today to hopefully trade up for some cards from a set I did not need. I asked questions regarding trade value and he refused to answer my questions. He pretty much told me to take his offer or leave it. Go spend your hard earned money elsewhere. I could feel the implicit bias coming out of the gentleman who helped me. I don't usually leave reviews but this one was deserving! Good luck to them. read more

Came in here last week to ask about One *Redacted* (lol) because I wanted to start collecting and learn how to play. They had singles which was awesome! The two guys there were super helpful and seem to be awesome guys. Gonna bring my buddy here one day to play. read more

showed up to trade in some cards, who im guessing is the owner comes up and asks "where did you get this card?" in a pretty dickish condescending tone. i told him i was at the event. he goes "YOU were at the event..?" then proceeds to explain what a "real" card would look like, to hint that ive brought in fake cards im guessing? lol. owners pretty clueless on tcg and id suggest taking your cards and business elsewhere. anyways heres me and my two real dodgers luffy cards at the event btw read more

S Rank Games - accused me of bringing in fake cards, owners cant even accurately describe what constitutes a real op card lol - Tabletop Games Near Me - Ontario, California

Been to this shop 3 times. Each of the first 2 experiences were terrible with an owner who doesnt respect you or treats you with any kindess. The shop sells for high price and is extremely picky with what they buy back (which is fine, you can buy what you want) but offers the worst rates. Toyland is just across the street with vendors who are much nicer and happy to work with you. Went a third time and this big hodor built dude, i think is the owner was extremely disrespectful and just throws my cards on the table after he decides he doesnt want to buy them. Gave them 3 chances to be nice. I would never come here and surely this shop will be out of business soon enough with toyland being across the street with kind and reasonable vendors. DONT EVER GO HERE. JUST WAIT TIL TOYLAND IS OPEN TO BUY OR TRADE. read more

I have gamed at S rank games a handful of times and it has been more than expected. The chairs are comfy (and I'm playing there for over 4 hours) the snacks are just the right size to game and eat. They have good selection of drinks. The staff is more than welcoming and helpful if you want to order games. The music and/or TVs are never too loud. The prices for items and food are great! I cannot hype this place up enough. I hope more people begin to check them out and play some card and board games. read more
