The Light is for both casual gamers looking to have fun, as well as competitive players looking to hone their skills. This is the worst local card shop I have ever been too. The owner is super greedy, changed pre-release price last minute from $40 to $50 without any notification, over sold tickets, didn't even have enough space inside and had to set up tables on the side walk without any safety boarder. And this is less than 60 degrees weather outside. The owner is also super rude and arrogant. Even other people heard the way he talked to customers and saying he's so rude. Definitely not supporting a local card shop like this. read more

Avoid this scalping store at all cost, dont bring kids here, owner will make your kids play outside in winter cold with no light or heat. Arrogant and rude owner. Will raise price of things last second and not honor price he set. Will not hand out promos that was supposed to be given out. Use public sidewalk and blocks off whole sidewalk to put janky tables and chairs so you sit out in the cold for +2 hrs if your kid wants to play. read more

Ive been going to the light for two years now. Started off with Lorcana. But after Lorcana scene died I started playing one piece especially over here at the light. It has really grown here, I remember when all the walls were bare and everyone fit in the shop quite easily. Things have changed and tcgs are booming more than ever. I still love coming here, Greg the owner has a great snack and drink fridge with a lot of great stuff. Locals are run quickly and efficiently, theres a lot of great players so you learn a lot, without the vibe being too sweaty. Locals is more about community and learning! but if you want to get good enough for a regionals, this is the place to go. Ive brought a lot of friends here and they enjoy coming here as well. read more

Stopped by The Light on Saturday and it was packed! There's parking in the back and on the street. There's beverages and snacks available for sale too. Greg, the store owner, is super chill and so hospitable. All the local players we met were so nice and some even taught us how to play a new TCG game. The store is clean and still changing by the week as Greg is trying to accommodate different community nights for various games like Pathfinder, MTG, FFTCG, and others. I would recommend visiting if you're looking for a local game shop that focuses on community and playing games! read more

Came for prerelease and had a great time. Store was clean and the community was friendly. The owner was welcoming and accommodated for the large amount of people present for the same event. There were snack and drinks available to purchase with a great variety. Restrooms were clean. Plenty of accessories available for purchase for the tcg players along with a great board game selection for the tabletop scene. Will come back again! read more

Great place to play and shop. Bought 20 pokemon packs, and had nothing but decent to great hits. The person that said it was resealed made me scared but looks like luck diff. Owner is great good balance of hands on and hands off approach. Everything is at retail/msrp or competitive pricing. Only issue I see is the space, it can get a bit tight and clusterphobic. But if you can get past that, 5/5. P.S. Try the Victor Allen Snickers coffee. read more

I'm able to host events hassle-free at The Light thanks to the great communication. - Transparent pricing. The prices on their products aren't marked up beyond market value and the owner is super transparent about where the pricing comes from. There are no "retail fees" here! - Warm community. The community of regular players are passionate about games, friendly to newcomers, and eager to teach. This makes joining games and becoming a regular easy. Resealed packs of pokemon cards bought 20 packs and all of them had been obviously resealed bc the packs were very wrinkly on the back from heat melting the plastic a little bit, and what do you know when we opened them and they had nothing. Bought the same packs from somewhere else and they didnt have the same wrinkling on the back and actually had valuable cards. Owner made us pay with venmo too so no refunds.. read more
