Dr Newandee is still our favorite family doctor. We are so blessed to have him. One of those reasons is because if we have an issue and one of our family members is not feeling well he will go through all lengths to eliminate anything he may think be happening to you and your body. He recently found a hard lump in my husbands throat through ordering a scan. As soon as he found it he refereed him to an excellent surgeon. We found out it was a nodule possibly cancerous in his thyroid. Dr. Newandee caught it just in time. Today my husband is perfectly healthy. This location will double charge your insurance company for the exact same service, was confirmed to me by United Healthcare. I have outstanding balances but never received a bill, so not sure what's going to happen there. I also feel they are in cahoots with ghetto quest diagnostics who sends and charges you for multiple services from the exact same day with hopes of confusing you and taking more money. I was sent to collections for THIRTY FOUR dollars after calling my insurance and aligning with them on my outstanding balances. Do not trust these doctors, they will charge your insurance company and then charge you for the same service. They never give you a breakdown, they just send you off and collect their money. Disgusting location, please make sure you asked for itemized bills of EVERYTHING and confirm with your insurance. read more

After being a patient since I was a little. I have to give this place a one star not because of Dr. Newandee but because of his office staff. So come the time I have to get my own insurance I decide to choose a plan to continue my care with Dr. Newandee. Unfortunately, due to whatever policy changes. The office staff do not accept walk ins nor will they let you go to an urgent care, rather they will let you wait for a canceled appointment (which I did one time and never got a call back). Instead they will tell you to go to an ER if you feel you have to be seen right away. Please remember to look at your insurance Policy under Access guidelines to ensure you're given appointments that are scheduled in a timely manner. For UNITED HEALTHCARE MEMBERS Access Standards - Chapter 2, UnitedHealthcare Administrative Guide under Appointment Standards it states Preventative Care: should be scheduled within four weeks. Regular/Routine Care appointments should be scheduled within 14 days. Urgent Care Appointment: SAME DAY If you are given an appointment beyond these standards I advise you to call your health plan and file a Grievance. read more

Had an appointment at 9am, got there at 8:50. Waited over an hour (& still waiting) to be seen. The "doctor" has the nerve to slowly walk in 40 minutes later, put his lunch away & wall in WITH HIS STARBUCKS, hanging his head with shame & ignoring is as if we aren't there, and then has the audacity to see a patient that came in a lot later than we did. The fact that I'm an hour late for work and there was no urgency or care from the "doctor" or the receptionist was so disrespectful and I hope no one comes here. Horrible customer service. read more

I've never had a bad experience with a physician before I was seen by Dr Stephen Newandee. He had poor bedside manner and was quick to make judgements about me. I went in for a gynecology referral and recurrent oral mucositis. I get frequent cankersores since I was a child. They worsened over last two years and one was even located on my tonsil (the MD who saw me at the time said it was the worst cankersore she had seen). I got FOUR new cankersores and decided to see Dr Newandee. I don't generally see a MD unless my symptoms were severe, and with 4 new cankersores, I was unable to eat, talk, or drink. I went in trying to find out an underlying reason for these recurrent cankersores and for symptom management. I tried to explain to him my history with cankersores and that they have been something chronic I've dealt with for many, many years--but he basically shut me up. He quickly brushed my symptoms off as nothing and told me 1) I have herpes 2) need sleep and water. That's. It. I was unwilling to accept those as the sole reasons. I, in turn, asked if it could be related to vitamin deficiency and wanted to know if a chemistry panel would provide insight. He ordered the chemistry lab but started ordering 999999 other unrelated labs (such as lipid panel that tests for cholesterol levels). When I asked if the additional labs were necessary (because I'm on a budget and don't know how much the extraneous labs would cost), he said "You want labs to find out why right?! Do you want them or not?" When he asks that, how is a patient supposed to feel? I was shocked by his outburst. It was abrupt and very uncalled for. Mind you, I wasnt trying to doubt his medical expertise and was only asking for clarification. It was the FIRST question I asked during the whole visit, but he became aggressive for absolutely no reason. Cholesterol level is clearly unrelated to vitamin/electrolyte levels, and that was the only reason why I asked for clarification. If he simply wanted a complete bloodwork on me to see I'm healthy, then fine. But he could have at least explained himself rather than get grumpy with me. He repeatedly told me the more I do to my cankersores, the worst they'll get. Yes, I already know they just need time to heal. They're similar to cold sores wherein they need to heal on their own, but at least there are products to help speed up recovery. When I asked for ointment, he told me "THERES NOTHING" and "DO WHATEVER YOU WANT YOULL JUST MAKE IT WORSE." First of all, I'm not your 12 year old child. Secondly, I still tried to be respectful towards him despite his rudeness, but he did not speak to me with respect. That honestly was the last straw. I'm not asking him to care or be passionate--those were thrown out the window 2 min into our visit--but the least I ask for is respect. I remained professional and asked him if I could leave at the end of the visit (he didn't say bye or at all indicate if he was done with me or not). He then said very curtly, "You have your referral and lab. What else do you want??" These are just few instances when he was curt and rude to me. Don't even get me started on how he repeatedly cut me off and how he approached the physical exam. He may be a good doctor based on other people's reviews, but I feel he had a serious prejudice against me because I was coming in for a "nothing" symptom. He should've at least tried to hear me out and explain the treatment better--rather than saying "Sleep and fluids! Sleep and fluids!" I'm not a doctor so need his expertise to better understand my condition. He didn't care to give me any of that and just wanted me out of his office as soon as possible. I left the visit feeling terribly hurt by his condescending and dismissive words. No one should be speaking to me like that unless it's my parents. Needless to say, I switched my PCP right after the visit. I deserve a better doctor and won't be coming back. read more

Everyone in this office if fantastic but Haily Helton PA is the absolute best. She is extremely thorough, caring and responsive. You never feel rushed during appointments and she makes sure all of your questions are answered. If you have a question after your appointment, she reaches back out quickly. Believe the reviews that say his staff is terrible. The Dr is nice and will do what you need to get better but his staff is ignorant. They don't accept card only cash or check and they don't bother to tell you this over the phone when you make the appointment. I asked her if they could bill us or if we could get cash and come back. The office manager says no you must pay first. Mind you my husband and his family have been coming here 20 years. You really don't have any more trust than that? This whole thing could have been avoided by just mentioning it on the phone when we booked the appointment this morning! read more

I have been told numerous times that I would be called back in regards to a very important referral. Needless to say I have yet to receive a phone call back. I left several messages and expressed my urgency, but my call was never returned. If feels as if, the two girls working there are ONLY there for a paycheck. They do not care about ur needs or health. First of all, I wouldn't even give Dr. Newandee one star, but had to in order to write this review. I will also say, his staff is professional, friendly, and do as they are told. However, my experience with Dr. Stephen Newandee was VERY BAD. He was very unprofessional, raised his voice to me, lied about information, and was extremely uncooperative. I needed a doctor's order from him to receive a follow-up mammogram (they found an abnormality in my left breast at a breast care office that he recommended me to). I could not return to the breast care office for the follow-up until he gave me a doctor's order. He refused to do so and claimed that he never gave me a mammogram referral in the first place. He also claimed that he needed to know details of what they found in order to give me a doctor's order. He also claimed he never received a report from the mammogram office with the abnormality details. So to give him proof, the mammogram office faxed over a copy of both the report with the details he was looking for and the original referral from him (w/his signature) to see them. After all that, he still wouldn't give me a doctor's order for a follow-up mammogram. Instead he wanted to do another full physical in order to determine if I needed a doctor's order for a mammogram??! He made no sense whatsoever ever! I have never experienced such an uneducated, unethical, and unprofessional doctor. One thing is for sure, he will order a ton of exams to bill your insurance company. Worst bedside manner I've ever encountered. Met him for the first time with new insurance coverage and he didn't spend two minutes with me. I went in for a basic checkup and asked about a referral for a rheumatologist. I have Lupus and Fibromyalgia - diagnosed over 8 years ago and being treated ever since. He questioned who made the diagnoses and asked me how he's supposed to know that's true?! Umm I would assume that it's his job as the professional to get those records but what do I know. Dr. NEWANDEE IS WONDERFUL!!!....front office not so much. Which is sad because I was so happy when I found him . After 20 yrs I left Kaiser and went with Blue Shield. Found Dr. Newandee online. Initial appt. went well. He was very pleasant and thorough! Got lab work done...referral to dermatologist and gynecologist. The problem was when they called me back in to go over labwork. I didn't sleep all night and was very stessed because who isn't when their doctor says they need to see them regarding their lab work? I didn't have problem paying another $15 (insurance fault not their's) my problem is that they don't take cards! Cash or check only! Who writes checks???? The receptionist actually made me leave and go to the bank for a lousy $15!!!! They wouldn't even bill me!! I was shaking I was so upset and mad! Met with the Dr. ...who is actually really wonderful...got my prescriptions and got copies of my labwork to take to a new Dr. because I won't go back to an office who treats me like I'm some lowlife who won't pay the $15 co-pay!! Got in my car and broke down in tears! Way to treat a new patient! It's the freaking 21st Century...get a card reader!!!! . Dr. Newandee truly cares about his patients. Both myself and my mom have been going to Dr. Newandee as our primary care doctor and he has been wonderful. He takes his time with us and n. Ever pushes us fir unnecessary tests, labs, or medicines. He is knowledgeable with so many disease states, too. This helps because it prevents us from having to seek treatment from a specialty doctor. My mom and I love Dr. Newandee's caring and gentle bedside manner and we adore his happy and accommodating staff, too. We're so grateful to have found such a good doctor! read more

I went to Dr Newandee because of my new insurance and after days of researching Dr's in the area and the horror reviews I was reading, I was really worried because I have been with my Dr for over 20 yrs.
