Was referred to this doctor from my primary care physician after months of stomach pain. He thought it was an illness but ordered no testing for it and told me to have some kombucha every other day with no follow-up appointment. Out of pocket I had to pay to see another doctor who immediately made me stop all of this guy's suggestions and ordered me antibiotics. I was seen there 2 times. The doctor doesn't even look/check your stomach/take blood work. I sat in a chair waiting for hours both times, I went to his office. He asked me questions that's all. I know my gastric bypass surgery from Kaiser in 2010, is not right. But this doctor just overlooked everything! According to him I'm fine. I'm just fat. Change my diet. read more

This is Dr. Tom F. Peters, Research Psychologist. I needed ongoing care after cholecystectomy (gallbladder surgery), and Dr. Shakfeh performed the colonoscopy in 2014 and 2025. His confidence as a gastroenterologist, and his expertise in performing colonoscopy made it a positive experience for me. I had polyps which he successfully removed, and he openly communicated with me during the entire procedure which was performed without sedation, but with an intravenous pain killer. The same procedure was done by fellow medical doctors due to insurance issues in 2024, but they did not quite know what they were doing or looking for because they were in training. I highly recommend Dr. Shakfeh, because he restored a peace of mind and the confidence in gastroenterologists in me as a patient with chronic digestive issues. First time here. Took my dad for a consultation. Dr. Shakfeh went over and beyond on his service. It has been a long time since I have had such excellent customer service from an MD and what a great first impression - same goes for the staff at the front (and back). A couple of other things that I liked: * Forms to be filled are electronic via tablet. Took less than a fraction of the time to fill that out as opposed to the traditional paper forms. * In Dr. Shakfeh's office, there was a ~30" touchscreen monitor that Dr. Shakfeh was able to pull up 3D illustrations to explain everything - I thought that was brilliant. You don't even have to understand the language, and you would have a clearer idea of what he is explaining about. * Everything was explained clearly. All questions and concerns were answered to my satisfaction. The use of technology to aid in the process - both the sign-in and the consultation - was very welcomed by me. A large number of medical facilities seemed to stick to traditional means of doing things, but I'm glad this was a step in the right direction of moving pass that. TIP: We initially went to the wrong section of the building: 9170 rather than 9140. A bit of a strange building layout, so just keep an eye out for that. read more

Do not go to this man he will make you endure things against your will and not allow you to revoke your consent. He violated me during a colonoscopy, and many other people. Look him up and you will find a pattern. I came in for rectal bleeding and horrible pain, we scheduled a colonoscopy where I was told and approved to be asleep. He kept me awake and refused to stop or put me to sleep as I screamed in pain telling him to stop. He instructed the nurse to hold me down as they finished against my will. DO NOT TRUST THIS VIOLATOR. HE IS A RAPIST AND SADISTIC. He refused to give me my medical records, lied on them saying nothing was there when I was later found to have rectal endometriosis. I am still traumatized from this experience as are many others. read more

needed to see a gi specialist. We had been to multiple ers and none were willing to help us, only telling us to see someone else and they refused to run more tests. So we found this wonderful specialist. The Dr answered my phone call early one morning and stated that he was very sorry that my family was in need and that the treatment of the other drs are extremely unprofessional and not how they were supposed to behave. He then stated that he was going to do everything in his capacity to assist us. He did just that. The entire staff was just absolutely wonderful, accommodating, kind and so helpful. The entire experience was scary but with a team like this, it was lessened. Other medical facilities need to take note on how this team works. They go above and beyond to help and it shows in each and every team member. Thank you so very much for helping us in our time of need. read more

If I were you I would not do it. I will say the doctor's very nice and friendly. The staff was wonderful. But the man did not give me any anesthesia!!!!! I was wide awake for this procedure, and it was horrifically painful, to the point where I don't ever want another colonoscopy in my life!!! I don't understand why I was not given anesthesia, since everybody I've talked to that had a colonoscopy, told me it's pain free, and I will be put to sleep for it; and be totally out. Horrific experience I think I'd rather given birth again and I've had horrible childbirths. They told me to be there at 11:30 a.m. and that my appointment was at 12:30 pm. They didn't even come get me out of the room to do my procedure until 2:35!!! and I just found out that he has an office in Rancho Cucamonga, in the area where I live. Why then did they send me all the way to Chino hills! Ridiculous! They left my friend sitting out there waiting for me for hours and, they could have told her to go home and come back at 3:00 when they finished.. Don't go here! read more

Multiple discrepancies at this office! My father had a colonoscopy done and was told to wait for a call to schedule appointment to get results (mass was found and biopsied). A month later and we assumed no news was good news but my fathers health worsened. I contacted office and was told no results for mass but Dr would call back. Dr contacted me after a couple hours to let me know my dads symptoms were caused by his cancer. Did not give me much information just to wait on surgery auth. I called next day to get my dads medical record to be transferred to AMAL who is literally the worst manager I have ever encountered. She began to say that his health was our fault and that she didn't care what I had to say. As a manager you are supposed to care what your clientele think of your office. She informed me that they had contacted my mother on a specific date and informed her of cancer prognosis but call records (from phone company) confirmed that no one had informed us at all. This office is soo poorly run by management that I recommend anyone seeking professional care look elsewhere. read more

If you want to die come see this Dr, because if you dont have good health insurance he doesn't care, he will give you bull shit remedies and tell you to keep coming back every 3 to 6 months, till your problem really turns chronic. I had 2 dr refer me to this man for a colonoscopy and he didn't do shit, he even told me if I kept persisting to find a new doctor he wanted me to try peppermint pills and other bullshit remedies when I have been having my problems for over 2 years! I have tried all natural remedies possible but this stubborn man does not listen. I finally got good health coverage trough Kaiser and right away they did everything with a smile on there face and turned out I had blisters on the inside of my colon. His office staffs are super unprofessional. Especially the manager 'Amal', don't know what she's doing. She thinks she is a doctor but not. My wife had an EGD procedure with Dr Shakfeh and after the EGD she got super sick, so I called to doctor office to discuss with Dr. Shakfeh but office staffs are refusing me to talk to Dr Shakfeh then at the end manager Amal came on the phone & saying your wife sickness wasn't caused​ by EGD maybe something else so take her to the ER..... OMG, I told her before the EGD she was good, even minute earlier the EGD. After a while she said okay doctor will call you. (my wife she had an EGD procedure before with other doctors and never had a problems) My point is she (Amal) has no right to say this kind of stupid words to any patient family members at all, all she should say that doctor will discuss with you. After few weeks she told my wife that I was rude, aggressive etc. I think she must take some classes about customer service relationship in school, otherwise she will be beaten by somebody in some day. read more

I came into the Rancho office to see Mohammad Shakfeh after having severe stomach pains and issues for over 7 months. It was to the point where I was in and out of urgent care/ hospitals due to extreme stomach pains after ingesting anything (food, beverages, etc.). I am already pretty under weight and had lost over 15 pounds. I was in dire need of help and after taking many different medications for my stomach (including probiotics for months) and seeing no improvement, was directed to a GI specialist. Dr. Shakfeh was anything but helpful. I waited for months for an appointment with a specialist and to get the help that I need but Dr. Shakfeh was very dismissive and uninterested in helping me. When I told him that I was in extreme pain and had lost over 15 pounds, he said "Well, you know, a lot of people want to lose weight, so consider yourself lucky". He barely asked me any questions before pushing me out the door and didn't set me up with any tests whatsoever to figure out the root of my problem. I asked him if he was going to set up any tests like maybe a colonoscopy or an ultrasound and he said "No! Why? just take probiotics, you'll be fine". Despite the fact that i had been taking probiotics for months and had been on probably 5 different medications for my stomach. I was in tears and told him I needed help and he just said "set up a follow up 7 weeks from now". He was extremely unprofessional and uninterested in helping me. However, after reading other reviews I am OVERWHELMINGLY glad that I did not get any procedure of any kind done by this man. Apparently he has a history of abuse and neglect to his patients. I am glad that i am no longer one of them. I have since found a new GI specialist who was very helpful (she gave me a physical exam within the first meeting) and set up multiple tests to help me and figure out what is really going on. The only redeeming quality of this office was the receptionist. She was kind and helpful and was very honest with me. When I was pushed out of the very short and disappointing appointment with Dr. Shakfeh, I told the receptionist I probably wouldn't be back because he didn't do anything to help me and is making me wait months for any kind of "specialist" treatment or advice. She was honest and told me that he was going on vacation and that is probably why any testing would be postponed. Bottom line, DO NOT go to this doctor. Go to a real professional who has your best interest at heart. read more

S for stomach issues after him seeing x rays and gall bladder going out he tells me ohh you need to go on a diet. Then wanted to follow up I asked the lady wtf are you following up for?
