From the moment I arrived, every single staff member treated me with kindness, respect, and genuine care. In many service environments, there is usually at least one person who seems rushed or disengaged--but that was absolutely not the case here. Every person I encountered was professional, warm, and attentive. What stood out most to me was the culture of the entire team. You could clearly see that how they treat their patients and how they treat each other is extremely important to them. The staff worked together seamlessly and treated one another with respect and positivity, which created such a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients. Even in a medical setting--which can sometimes feel stressful--the team created an atmosphere where people could laugh, feel at ease, and feel genuinely cared for. I observed them treating every patient with patience, dignity, and compassion. Having gone through many medical procedures in my life, I can honestly say this is one of the best healthcare experiences I've had. It's rare to see an entire team operate with this level of professionalism, kindness, and excellence. We waited 6 months for my wife's Colonoscopy just to show up and for them to tell us that her appointment was cancelled. They were communicating thru emails when the appointment was set. They never sent a cancellation email. They sent a text from a 707 area code to cancel the appointment. 707 area code looks like a spam text. Why did they not communicate thru emails. Poor, pitiful customer service. Do waste your time with these clowns. read more

Dr Saffouri and the other doctors, and nurses, in the surgical center are wonderful. The PAs and office staff are horrendous. If you want to know more, read below. -- I have gone through 2 endoscopies here, was diagnosed, and *supposed* to receive medication/treatment for my condition. After having my phone F/U with Andrea after the 2nd endoscopy we agreed on a treatment. Supposedly, the medication was sent in to the pharmacy. I never received a notification it was submitted, denied by insurance, delayed, etc. Nothing. Then I was auto-scheduled for a 3rd endoscopy. I called and cancelled that appointment explaining I won't be doing endless endoscopies without receiving treatment first, and scheduled a phone F/U for April 23rd to speak to Andrea AGAIN. The day of my phone appointment I receive a voicemail 2 hours before my appointment time stating my appointment was cancelled because it was scheduled with the provider and not someone else(???) I called back immediately and the office tried to tell me it was cancelled because I didn't answer to provide copayment. I said no, that is not what the voicemail stated and told them the reason that was given. They tried to tell me it was an in-person appointment despite still having the text confirming phone appointment. (Screenshot attached.) Whatever bullsh*t excuse they struggled to fabricate next still ended with my talk with Andrea regarding treatment cancelled. I also told them I haven't received treatment. I've been trying to reach Andrea; not one pharmacy has called, emailed, texted, in regards to medication prescribed. Info was looked up, I was told it was submitted multiple times. I never received any of it. Then I was told she would talk to Andrea and call me back. That was a week ago. Dead silence. I'm still waiting. Since my family is doctors who have worked and consulted with Dr. Saffouri before -who I highly recommend- we're letting him know directly how staff treats immediate family of his colleagues. read more

You're told that getting a colonoscopy is of the utmost importance. Yet when you go to schedule one, you're made to wait months. I can't put the lack of resources available and the demand on ACE. They're just a business filling a need. What I can put on them is the complete lack of organization of keeping appointments that they schedule. I scheduled my first appointment for September 15th. Mind you this was about 2 months out. About a week later I get a text saying they need to reschedule because the doctor won't be in that day. They schedule me for the following week on the 22nd at the same time. Ok, whatever. Not a big deal. But then we get to the beginning of September and I start getting automated text messages that I never scheduled my appointment and that I needed to schedule it soon since the referral from Kaiser can expire. So now I'm starting to get irritated because I'm thinking they screwed the scheduling up. I call in, and sure enough, they didn't have me on the schedule for the 22nd. Now I'm starting to get mad because it isn't just my schedule they're messing with. When you get a colonoscopy, they're pretty adamant about you having someone drive you there and drive you home. So my wife had to request time off from work. And the closer it is to the date, the harder it is to reschedule. She already had to change the date from the 15th to the 22nd, which wasn't a huge issue given that the first rescheduling was still a month and a half away. But now we're inside of 3 weeks. So the woman on the phone was doing her best to be pleasant, but she could tell I was upset. She first offers me an appointment well into late October, and now I'm fuming. What started this whole appointment was because of abdominal pain and it would seem pretty urgent to get this checked and ruled out, but they keep pushing me out. So she does what she can and puts me for the 29th, a week later. Fine, not happy about it, but it's better than October. Fast forward to this week and I get a text asking me to confirm my appointment 3 days prior to the procedure. It's still a week away, so I wait. Then today I get a phone call. I say hello twice and there is just silence, so I hang up. Within seconds, I get a text message stating that my appointment has been cancelled due to not confirming. I immediately call, and am told that my appointment was cancelled because I didnt confirm within three says of receiving the text. I informed her that the text doesnt say to confirm within 3 days of receiving the text. It says to confirm three days before the procedure and we're still four days away. I ask her to put me back on for the appointment and she says it's no longer available. So the phone call where there was no voice on the other end, the text informing me my appointment was cancelled within seconds and then my spot being filled inside of two minutes leads me to believe they screwed up the scheduling again and they were trying to fabricate and excuse to move my appointment. I was offered a time later that day, but again, it isn't just my schedule we're talking about. My wife already told her job she would be coming in mid day after dropping me off at home and now I have to tell her to reschedule AGAIN after she's already had to move the time off twice because this administrative staff at ACE can't get their act together. How in the hell am I supposed to trust you to perform a medical procedure when your office can't even master basic scheduling. Absolutely inept. The problem is, they're so busy and just have business falling in their lap that there's no incentive for them to be better. If I were the doctor running this place, I'd be taking a closer look at the office staff. This place has also caused me to consider opening a clinic. If this place is doing as well as it is while being run as poorly as it is, how hard could it be? read more

I was referred to ACE through Kaiser Permanente for my 1st colonoscopy. I generally don't like when procedures are outsourced, however, this place is fantastic. The entire team made me feel welcome, were friendly, knowledgeable and eased any fears that I had. Huge shoutout to the following people: Heather, Sandy, Breanna, Ruben, Dr. Sid, Dr. Tran and Genesis. You guys are great and are doing your job really well. I checked in around 8:15am and was home by 10:30am or so. I highly recommend this place. Make your health a priority and visit this place. I had to get treatment here. Overall, good experience. Staff answered phones, returned calls, and took into account a special consideration I needed for a prescription. You don't have to arrive early, just at the appointed time. Lots of parking although lot can get congested. Easy to access from the freeway. Doctors were attentive. Nurses were fast-paced and kept things moving quick which is perfect. Lobby is small...you line up against the far wall and wait to be called to the window; don't cue up in front of the window. There is plenty of seating for patients. Your escort may have to check in with you and might have to wait elsewhere sue to the small lobby. However, there is a Starbucks and Carls Jr in the lot. My escort waited in the lobby but wasn't asked to check in or leave, so it was easy for her. I only had to wait 30 minutes. Procedure was 20 min but it took an hour overall to do the prep, waking up, etc. I think it was an excellent schedule they maintained. Tip: bring a photo Id and insurance card. Bring earbuds if you listen to music or video. read more

The good: Though the waiting room was packed when I was there, but the staff was friendly. Pre-procedure nurses also good. Anesthetist chatted me up beforehand. I had a chance to talk to the physician doing the procedure. The bad:  1) My procedure failed (no fault of physician). But I never saw or heard "Why" from the physician doing the scoping - probably due to assembly-line rapidity. Before leaving, I asked the staff how I could get in touch with the physician. And I called. But I never did hear back other than to refer me to their PA, so I had to go to a separate clinic for an explanation.  2) Though we paid $300 up front, afterward, we got an anesthesiology bill for several hundred dollars AND another surgery center bill for $400.  3) Insult to injury: The billing mechanism is junk. You get a bill and an address to snail mail a check. This is unlike most 21st century centers in the USA where you can go to a link and pay there.  4) The bill itself has no phone number, so I went back online to find the center's phone number. 5) Paying bills is so tedious you'd think they want you to blow it off. Conclusion: I wouldn't go there again. It's more trouble than it's worth, and the efficiency and mechanisms for being billed and paying bills is 25 years old. read more

Had a Endoscopy today and as always very professional staff. Wait was longer than expected. Doctor Bala has a wonderful bedside manner.

I had severe abdominal issues that needed to be addressed by this office. First of all the front staff is very rude and unprofessional. I asked for a stool test to be given so that I can go to the lab so that it can be evaluated by my GASTRO. They said I had to be seen 3 months down the line first by the doctor before I could even get the stool test to take home. So I said forget that. I was referred to a different GASTRO and he saw me the same week and set me immediately to get the stool tests and two days later sure enough one of the tests came back that I had SEVERE EPI. The referred GASTRO scheduled me an endoscopy and colonoscopy. But I thought maybe I'd give the Ace Endoscopy GASTRO doctor one more chance to treat me. So I called his office and spoke to one of his staff and told her about the test and could he please see me sooner and/or recommend treatment since I am so sick. She said since it was with a lab they can look up she'd give him the message and see if he would prescribe treatment and get an appointment sooner. Well, she called me back and said the doctor said that my results were NORMAL. I was FURIOUS!!! EPI!!!! Then she said just ask your primary doctor for any type of treatment. Isn't that his job. Honestly, I felt that the staff member didn't even give him the message. My primary doctor was livid and prescribed me medication immediately. I gave ACE GASTRO in Rialto a chance and finally I am done with them. No compassion, no professionalism and basically didn't give a dang about me. Advocate for yourself and never give up on getting the best doctor to help you. It could be a matter your quality of life or extreme chronic pain. I'm telling you all this because someone out there needs to know this. DON'T LET THE BASTARDS GRIND YOU DOWN!!!! read more

I came here for a routine colonoscopy today and when I checked in the front desk was friendly and helpful. When they called me and started prepping me, the entire staff was so nice. The phlebotomist was very efficient and quick. When they rolled me in for the procedure I barely remembered anything and woke up to friendly faces. I changed and they walked me out to my car. The place didn't look nice when I came for my appointment prior to the colonoscopy so I was afraid. But don't be fooled by the appearance because the staff, nurses and doctor were great! read more

This write-up is for the nervous people. This was my first colonoscopy and I was quite pleased with this experience. My appt time was 7am. There were two other patients with the same appt time that were checked in ahead of me. I was done and outta there by 10am but it didn't feel like 3 hours at all. The waiting room has boring magazines about golf and health. I flipped through a few so as not to use up my phone's battery in case I was there for a long time. There's a restroom in the waiting room but dang, you can hear everything going on in there! A guy went in and I could clearly hear explosions coming out of him. Such a lack of privacy. I was in a gown, laying in a bed no later than 7:40 and an LVN, Denise, placed the IV lead in my hand vein. She was very good at her job, very professional, made sure she located the best vein possible without rushing. I was allowed to chill there and scroll on my phone until my turn, which was around 8:45 when the anesthesiologist, Dr Chang (I hope I got her name right!) came to introduce herself and offer to answer my questions. She was awesome! I felt more at ease after meeting her although I could still hear my heart rate increase when they rolled me into the actual procedure room and placed the pulse ox thing on my finger. She talked me through the administration of propofol and I chose to close my eyes before I got hooked up to it because I thought it would be much nicer to pretend I was already asleep when it hit. I was right ^_^. The anesthesia was honestly the thing I was most afraid of and it was actually really gentle and nothing to fear. The procedure takes 15 minutes, not that you're aware of that part anyways. Next thing I knew, Freddie told me I was done and it was time to wake up and let the air out of my colon. Lemme tell you something: when you're coming off of propofol, you're not embarrassed of anything. He helped me out by pushing on my stomach and I blasted a nice long fart. I would NEVER do that sober lol. You're in one big room with several patients and nurses with only curtains around for "privacy" but NOTHING is private. They tell you your results and anyone nearby can hear them. This is my reason for only rating 4 stars. You could hear patients being told they had hemorrhoids and stuff, clear as day. I was taken aback by how casually this was handled by healthcare professionals. After Freddie explained how I should rest and not pig out today, I got dressed and a nurse walked me to a chair in the same room to wait for my driver. My driver didn't answer his phone when the front desk called him to come get me so they asked me to text him and boyyyy texting is HARD coming off that propofol! I was laughing at myself. My driver alerted the front desk that he was there to pick me up and a nurse walked me to the car. Overall, this was a positive experience. I just wish patients were treated to more dignity in the form of privacy at every step in the process. read more

There is not a "no star" option on yelp. Ace endoscopy is a nightmare. From the tiny waiting room, the indifferent front desk who gave me the wrong forms to complete before my procedure. The pre-op area was worse. Forget about HIPPA. I know all about Mrs. Browns' three boob jobs, and stint in prison. The only kind soul was Denise who started my IV. In the actual OR, the Dr. actually asked me why I was there, because he had not reviewed my chart. The endoscopy itself was horriffic. Dr. Shoved the camera down my throat like it was a jackhammer. Post op I was ignored until I started couching and retching. Yes, they got me out of there fast. I was hoarse for two weeks after. My PCP said Ace endoscopy is a "puppy mill" operation. My husband Rick had his colonoscopy at Ace in Rialto. He doesn't normally post reviews so I said I would do it for him. He was very happy with the care he received. Denise , the LVN that put his IV in was very proficient and it was painless. He stated that he felt safe and that they did a timeout in the surgical suite sedated him, and before he knew it, he was awake and it was time to go home. Few different things to watch for especially if you are insured with Kaiser or just in general. 1) Dr I met with was condescending and didn't really listen to what issues I was having. Spoke over me in the middle of the explanation. Sorry sir you're not my body or experiences or know my pain tolerance. Never heard back on the results from the biopsy from either Ace or Kaiser. 2) Surprise bills. First bill adjustment came directly from Ace requesting an additional fee for the treatment, ok fine. Another bill came in 2 months after the fact which is a few hundred dollars to cover anesthesia. Not only did Ace not disclose the additonal cost of this at the time of my appointment they also said they do not deal in the billing of the anesthesia but rather that kaiser will need to address the issue. Called kaiser, short story it's not in their system to waive and it's through the company requesting payment. Now the interesting part is the bill is from BBDDD, Inc. Who are they you ask! We'll internet search is an independent David Ninan, NIP: 1336722149, who bills independently from Ace as BBDDD INC. Now I thought he was just another employee at Ace doing his job as the anesthesiologist. But surprise surprise another bill shows up and Ace plays the act that they don't know why we are receiving a bill and that kaiser should address it. BBDDD, INC place of business resides at Ace Endoscopy. Regardless of the independent billing, full price disclosure should be the responsibility of Ace Endoscopy. After being told my deductible had not been met and I needed to pay 100% out of pocket, then my expectations are to pay 100% with no grievances. To be asked to pay additional after the fact is not okay. The fact that the additional cost for an independent business working out of Ace is not okay. Does this separate entity, BBDDD INC, have legal documentation to perform the job... who knows since nothing was disclosed by Ace Endoscopy. Anyways, the NIP number lookup gives you some details of the ties between the BBDDD INC anesthesiologist and Ace Endoscopy. 3) Waiting time with an appointment is longer than expected. Definitely do the paperwork before going as it does speed it up just a bit. Waiting area is cramped if it's at a good capacity. 4) Outside of the bad and annoying, the staff (excludes the Dr) was nice and professional during the admittance process and post procedure process. read more

The procedure went smoothly without any hiccups & if I ever have to do it again Ace is the place. Five stars for the Nurses and the Kaiser Dr. Zero stars for the logistics. If Kaiser sends you here, make sure to get the earliest appointment and bring your favorite book to read, better yet, make it two books. The wait is unbelievable. I was there for a total of four hours. I had a colonoscopy done, and it only took about 40 min from when I was taken back to the procedure room, so the other 3 + hours I was just waiting around. If you don't have Kaiser, you will probably be there for 6 hours or so as they have different doctors there. There is only one receptionist checking everyone in and putting your chart together. The bad part is that you're fasting, so the wait is even more unbearable. The weird thing is that they asked me to go in earlier as they had a lot of cancellations, but there was still a wait. Regardless, I was happy I went in earlier since I needed to eat. But everyone else that wasn't with Kaiser were being told to go back in a couple of hours. Not sure why Kaiser has a contract with this facility. read more
