I had to call several contractors to fix issues at my restaurant and for some of my friends and clients. Unfortunately, my regular plumber was on vacation when we had a small ceiling leak, so I had to contact S.J. Conner & Sons for the first time. We have a surveillance camera to monitor activities on our premises. Recently, an elderly person spent two and a half hours at our restaurant, while a young man spent only 45 minutes. However, we received two invoices from S.J. Conner & Sons, charging us $920 for the small leak they fixed. I was surprised by the bill adding the $100 for equipment charge that we have to pay. Additionally, they charged us for three and a half hours of labor for two workers. To make matters worse, they also claimed that we had canceled an appointment last March and charged us an additional $120. This was my first time contacting them and they gave me the bill for last year. I contacted the company to clarify the charges and spoke with their receptionist, Lukesha. Unfortunately, she was quite rude to me and informed me that regardless of whether customers like it or not, the company charges a certain fee. Upon hearing this, I felt overcharged and upset. I even asked if they had a record of my previous calls, but they were unable to provide any evidence. Called Monday due to leaking water out of my heating system. Basement was flooding. Asked her a price and to see when we can make an appt. never got a call back. Called again at 4:45, letting her know I needed a price, and when we could make an appt- She said she would have to call me back. She called back 15 minutes later and said "a technician is on the way". I said ummmm no? I need a price and an appt. I can't just leave work- She said "ohhhhh ok. Let me see what I can do and call you back". Wednesday, I hadn't heard anything, so we called another company. They came out. Here is is Thursday, and still no response from them. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! They were contracted through my home warranty company not myself for my rental property. I paid my portion which was the $60 service call fee. They came out, provided an estimate and we politely declined. Repairs were NEVER made to my homeboy them; another contractor provided service and repairs. 11 months later they are trying to sue me (Choice Home warranty is who the agreement was with, NOT ME) for work that was NEVER DONE. This is a great company. We had a pipe bust due to the cold and boy was it a mess. The temps dropped to single digits (we haven't seen temps like this in 20 years). We placed a call to them after hours and like many other calls I expected them to say they would come the next day. Our service man (Mike) called and stated he would come that night. He was on another job that was very big with the same problem. Well true to his word he arrived late into the night around 1am or 2am and saved us. He found 3 different places that had leaks all in the same area. He was exhausted still wet from that other job and temps were still freezing. He completed the job around 4am. The worst, they were working at a neighbors house and the were digging with a backhoe and dug threw the water line for the neighborhood.We were all without water until the water auth. could repair the line break.The ground was clearly marked with orange paint but the workers ignored them.I asked them if the were going to fix it and they said it was Friday 430 quiting time...i guess they had to go party! thanks s j conner, workers are not trained and don't know what they are doing if the accidentally dig threw lines and then cannot repair them. read more

The worst, it took them 2 days to install my AC, then had the nerve to blame us, for paying the guy overtime cause he didn't know what he was doing. Gave me one quote, for a heater unit then raised it by 200, more dollars, if it took you 2,days to install AC unit why would let you install anything in my home ever. they called us we told them stop calling we do not want their business, Monday morning they showed up at my house, they don't get WE NEVER WANT YOUR BUSINESS. I had a pipe bust in the middle of my yard which was the main water line going into the house from the street. I had pre dug the hole down to the pipe to find the leak and make things easier for them. After the first visit we thought everything was all good and we filled the hole back in over the pipe. A day later I discovered that the same puddle in the yard in the same spot was back. I re dug the hole again and called S J Conner and Sons back telling them that the puddle was back. They arrived for the 2nd visit and fixed the pipe again. I did not notice the work order which my wife had signed after he had left where they had wrote on it "Not a call back". If I have to call you back 2 days after the first visit for leak in the same spot, yes it is a call back. After they left the second time I was weary on refilling the hole a second time without making sure the leak was fixed. Good thing the very next morning you could see the pipe dripping from the same spot still. I then called them the very next morning and no one every showed. I waited till the following Monday and called them again. They finally came for a third visit and said they fixed the pipe again. Well 10 minutes after they left I looked and the pipe and it was still dripping from the exact same spot. So I called them again and get nothing but a voice mail, I left a message informing them the leak has yet to be repair after 3 visits. I never got a call back and no one ever came. The next day I called again and they sent someone there for a fourth time where they finally did fix the pipe but on his work order he again wrote ,"Not a call back". What is with these people? If I have to call you to work on a pipe which is leaking and it takes you four tries in 11 days then it is a call back. Same spot each time. I have yet to get an actual bill but it better only show one visit worth of work. Crazy if they are gonna try and charge me for four visits when it should have been fixed the first time. read more
