Three days before my graduation, I brought in a brand-new white Donna Karan dress that I had purchased only two days earlier. The dress had never been worn. The only issue was that it had gotten wet during delivery and developed a few yellow water stains. Before leaving the dress, I specifically asked whether the stains could be removed. I explained that the dress was for my graduation and that I needed it back quickly. I was clearly told that the stains could be treated and that the dress could be properly cleaned and pressed. Based on that assurance, I trusted them with an important garment for one of the most special days of my life and paid for expedited service. While the dress was returned on time, the actual service was a complete failure. The stains were still there. In fact, the dress looked just as bad, if not worse, than when I brought it in. When I got ready for my graduation and took a closer look, I realized the dress was not wearable. At that point, it was too late to find another solution. What makes this even more frustrating is that this review is not about the $22 charge. It is about trust. If the stains could not be removed, I should have been told that from the beginning. Instead, they accepted the dress, assured me the work could be done, charged me for the service, and returned it without fixing the problem. To make matters worse, they also removed the original Donna Karan tag from the dress and did not reattach it or return it to me. This was a brand-new designer dress, and there was absolutely no reason for the tag to be removed without my permission. The final disappointment came when I called to express my concerns. The person who answered the phone identified herself as the manager and was extremely rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in taking responsibility for what happened. There was no apology, no attempt to understand the situation, and no effort to make things right. This business did not simply fail to clean a dress. They ruined an important moment that I can never get back. A graduation only happens once, and because of their poor workmanship, lack of transparency, and terrible customer service, I was left stressed and disappointed right before a milestone event in my life. The place is a bit pricey but I never had an issue paying because service was good . I dropped off a special occasion dress 2 weeks ago to get cut . It was a gown that I requested to be cut SHORT at knee length . Went back to pick it up 2 weeks later and when I got home the dress was cut at tea length and it looked like the perfect outfit for a nun to wear and not a special event . I called and said I was bringing the dress back on Tuesday , however after rethinking the situation I realized I could not attend my Saturday event with this dress the way it was . I went in on Saturday morning and she wasn't in , her kids said she would be back before 1pm so I asked them to call her and see if she could fix the mistake today as I needed the dress by no later than 2-3pm . She then proceeded to tell me she doesn't do same day alterations blah blah blah . Making a long story short I was charged $145 for a bad alteration not to my expectation and was left to deal with it . I honestly expected better customer service considering the amount of money I spent in this place over the years . I had to take the dress elsewhere to get altered to my standards and pay again wasting time and money I didn't have . So I don't really recommend this services because all will go well until it doesn't and when it doesn't there's NO EFFORT on their part to address your concern .. I'm left with a dress u can't wear on a Saturday when no one else is available and at the day of my event .
