Stopped in for the first time with $80 worth of dry cleaning. I do like the fact all work is done on premises and tailor is on site. All items pressed and cleaned but small detail on a blazer was missed. Followed up with the owner next day and he offered to take care of it first thing but due to travel I was not able to leave my garment. Also small miscommunication regarding a pair of pants that I thought was missing which are not just not part of my bulk items since it needed a stitch on the hem - could have been missed in haste since I did not have a separate ticket which was printed out for me.. Went to this place for a while and though things were fine 90% of the time, sometimes they were not. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I brought a shirt to be cleaned and when I got it back, it looked like someone had splattered bleach all over it. Like, everywhere. Fine, I thought, these things happen, I'll just connect with them to see what we need to do from here. Dropped it off and the nice woman at the counter grimaced and said she'd have to talk to the manager, and that I should wait for a call. This is where it gets surreal... Manager calls to tell me he's been in biz for 30 years and that while he can offer me $40 in store credit, they did not cause the stains. He said that "while he knows this is hard to understand, there's nothing he can do..." He then listed off all the other things it could have been, including: 1. An invisible stain. What? --k I guess maybe someone sprayed me with reverse disappearing bleach and I didn't realize it. 2. There when I dropped it off --k. I mean, I guess? Would be a bold move to try and play off something already there as being the dry cleaner's fault. I'm neither that bold nor that sneaky. 3. Battery acid from my trunk that took time to set in ---lol Like I said, things happen, and I've been going to dry cleaners for years so I know what kind of mishaps can occur. What I'm not used to, though, is a total lack of accountability combined with a pompous attitude ("Brooks Brothers? This shirt is $50, max...") and nonexistent customer service. Where do I start? So I'm fairly new to Bayonne and needed to find a place that could repair my heel caps. (I wear stilettos and pumps all throughout NYC & even commute in them, brave soul; I know) Once my search began I had stumbled upon Skye and I was a little hesitant because of the words "Dry Cleaning". I know, I know, so silly. Anywho, I message them immediately from the app and received a response the SAME DAY telling me to bring in my shoes. I brought them 7 pairs of heels, just simply expecting the bare minimum. LET ME TELL YALL! ALL of my heels are cleaned up, touched up, and made to look like new WITH a brand new heel cap. I was floored. (I didn't really analyze my shoes until I got home) All of the fabric that was either fraying or fading was neatly trimmed and polished, absolutely perfect. I've taken these shoes to a different location previously and they never looked like this. Also! I had 3 dad caps that needed to be cleaned, especially one from my mid excursion in Cancun. & LET ME TELL YALL, all of my hats look brand mew again. My white cap, it's WHITE. Decided to go here after attending an outdoor wedding in the summer. As a result, I had gotten some unidentified stain on the dress. I pointed this out to the person helping me at the front desk, and he said no promises that it would come out. Being that this was a bridesmaid's dress and had no intention of wearing it soon, I gave it a gamble, and it came back perfect and stain free. I just attended another wedding recently, and the wedding reception for this one has been postponed til the summer so I will be taking this dress over for a cleaning as well soon so it will be ready for the party. read more

100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. We have had multiple issues with them over the years, but the following recent issues have finally made us decide to go with a different cleaner. Here are few of the recent issues (queue "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music"): (1) Late delivery, without any notice, multiple times. When I asked, they said that the delivery person forgot to pick it up at Bayonne, which is like 1-hour round trip!!! However, they seem to bill/charge you ON TIME 100% OF THE TIME. The thing is that if the delivery person MADE A MISTAKE AND FORGOT TO PICK IT UP (their fault but we should be "OK" with that?) shouldn't they let the customer know? WHY do we have to call and beg for our already-paid-for clothes to be returned? (2) Previously we had to wait for alteration for 2+ weeks without them telling us what happened. (3) They have delivered my shirts to a wrong address so for weeks no one could find it, and they just said "sorry." WEEKS! (4) My dress shirts HAVE to be DRY CLEANED (I'm sure the TAG agrees with me). Just found out that they only did "laundry" to the shirts--why would they think I gave them the dress shirts? Do I not have a washing machine/steamer? If I needed it to be "laundered" then I could have just washed it at my place. When I asked them about it they said something to the effect of "but the shirts came out good." THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE. The problem is that if I drop off dress shirts to AT. THE. DRY. (LET ME REPEAT, DRY) CLEANERS. then the expectation is that it should be DRY CLEANED. Even if I dropped off a 100% Cotton T-Shirt, if I didn't say anything, I probably want it DRY. This place is very reliable and quick when it comes to dry cleaning. Admittedly I used them more frequently when I used to live at Harbor Pointe as they actually delivered to the apartment complex -- honestly can't get more convenient than that! I've since moved into a home in Bayonne and seem to have lost that one perk lol. They do a great job getting clothes cleaned well and pressed nicely. The only thing I can really think to complain about is that they're a tad pricey for women's clothing. To dry clean one dress is more expensive than a suit jacket and pants. Crazy! The staff is friendly and helpful, so that's really my only gripe with them. I love that I feel like I can trust them with my more expensive coats / jackets as well knowing they won't mysteriously get lost at this shop. read more

I have experienced poor customer service before, but Skye Dry Cleaning takes first prize. I took a dozen dress shirts and two suits to be cleaned at Skye Dry Cleaning on a Saturday. I requested my clothes be cleaned and delivered to my apartment two blocks away by the upcoming Wednesday. I received a call Wednesday evening, well after the expected delivery time. The representative informed me that none of the requested cleanings were performed. No apologies or compensation was offered. Instead, I was informed they would deliver my clothing at their earliest convenience. I expressed concern that they were breaching our agreement and that I needed my clothes returned ASAP. But, I was told they could not specify the delivery date/time at that moment. The next day, I called the store to request a status update. After an uncomfortable waiting time, I had to agree to pick up my clothes the next day. When I visited the store to pick up my clothing, two police officers were present due to a customer request. Apparently, a customer paid for dry cleaning of a leather jacket, but the item was never cleaned. But, the owner (while admitting the item was not only uncleaned but also damaged) refused to return the customer's money. But, back to my experience . . . When I received my clothing and reviewed the ticket I discovered the fees for the services were increased significantly. And unfortunately, it wasn't until I returned home that I discovered my clothing had been pressed, but not cleaned. I should have challenged the increase in fees and returned the clothing, but I am ashamed to say, I did not. Instead, I simply took my belonging to a different service provider. In closing, I advise everyone to avoid Skye Dry Cleaning. read more

Update: they are usually very unfriendly. They just lost us as a customer for treating us so poorly when we dropped off shirts. We will never be back and go somewhere else instead. There goes our measly $100 a month. Be warned, this place sucks. Every time we walk in we feel a bad energy by this place. The employees for the most part seem to hate their work and take it out on the customer. I always try to be friendly and they never reciprocate. Also, the quality of the work is very poor. For instance, they don't even put back shirt collar tabs, even the metal ones that I left in my shirts. read more

I have to give this place a 5 star review because I am just absolutely blown away by their amazing service! I took my sister to get her dress altered at a different dry cleaners on Thursday night and made the person aware that I needed it done for Monday afternoon.. well.. Monday afternoon rolled around and the dress was never touched! I called Skye Dry Cleaners and made them aware of the issue and how this dress needs to be done or she will have nothing to wear to her high school graduation. The guy on the phone said "come in as soon as possible and we will do what we can"... within 2 hours the dress was altered and hemmed to absolute perfection! A huge thank you to the seamstress, I believe her name is Karina. I went to skye cleaner on 10/29/19 to pick up all my dry cleaning. dry cleaning ticket said it would be ready on 10/25/2019. i had two pants, seven shirts and one jacket. shirts were ready and they had to wrap hang the pants and wrap it. i asked wjere my jacket was and they said "its not done because of pet hair but it could be ready in 30 minutes". i responded that they were going to just clean the pet hair off and not clean the jacket? i could of removed the pet hair but since i stopped smoking on 1/18/20 , i want the smoke smell removed. no response. i asked for my jacket back. they didnt care at all. that i was wrong for expecting them to complete a job on the day they said. i was actually 4 days later. rude customer service. will not recommend. they offer me no solution. read more

I took a dress here on Tuesday to be steam pressed, not even cleaned, and was told it wouldn't be ready until Friday after 4:00pm. When I went to pick it up on Friday @ 5:00 pm, not only was the job Not done, It took over 20 minutes for them to find the dress. Then I had the pleasure of having to wait another 15 minutes for them to steam it. I've been looking for a good dry cleaner since my old one closed. I was going to give this 1 star but decided to give it 2. Here are my reasons: I looked up this cleaners as it was in the area and figured why not give it a shot. The prices looked great, it seemed to have good reviews. I reached out on Yelp to confirm they could do same day service. I was answered that they could. So I took my work uniform in for cleaning and the staff there was completely baffled and said we don't do same day cleaning. I advised that the owner on Yelp advised me that they do as long as I got it in early enough. I was there before the deadline mentioned to me so I didn't understand the confusion, still the man working the register said ok we'll get it done. THAT was the GOOD experience I had with them. I went on a Friday to drop off my work uniforms so that I could pick them up late afternoon/evening on Saturday and I was told they were done cleaning for the day. I joke with you not... it was 9:45 am on Friday Morning. I gave the man at the register a very confused look and asked how can they be done cleaning at 9:45 am and received a blank stare with a shoulder shrug. That was more than enough for me to say, Never Again. I am only a repeat customer at a location that provides 3 things: Friendly, fast, reliable customer service. The first time I went, I asked for shirts to be boxed. They were not. The next time, another person at the counter said they entered "boxed" preference on the account so they would automatically know in the future. Not so. A couple of times, when I went to pick up, I had to inquire, "Didn't I have shirts too?" I wanted alterations, but the tailor is not in on the weekends, or whenever I went. I think they have too many untrained employees that don't care about customer service. I was in search of tailoring for my wedding dress. When I googled this place popped up. I was kinda hesitant at first trusting my dress to a dry cleaners. When I walked in the staff was very friendly I met katrina the seamstress also very friendly my dress needed to be taken out on the hip area and taken in on the stomach area. I came about 4 times each to try the fitting. The last fitting was perfect my dress was ready I was very happy with the outcome. A high end wedding Boutique would have charged a arm and a leg for same service. I would recommend them for any alterations. They have a customer for life. read more

I have never really been one to write a review, however, I felt it was necessary to praise this cleaners for a recent experience I had. I recently was in a jam and had to have something cleaned for a friend's wedding. Not realizing I never had my fiance's suit cleaned since the last time he wore it and the wedding was the next day, I rushed to the cleaners right before they closed that night. I was praying they could have it ready for noon the next day so we could make the church for the 3:00 pm ceremony on top of our travel time. The young kid working at the counter explained that the boiler was shut down already for the day, and since it wouldn't be processed till the next morning, it wouldn't be available till Friday after 4ish. The owner happened to be at the other counter and overheard my story and came over. He went above and beyond to make sure that it would be ready the next morning at 7 am. He even offered to have it personally delivered to make my life easier given my sense of urgency. I politely declined the delivery service as I would be able to pick it up in the morning because I took off from work already, and to my delight it was ready as promised early the next morning when I went to pick it up. I was extremely happy with the quality of the cleaning, but the exceptional customer service and strive to make my life a little easier is what struck me as noteworthy. This act of kindness has now made me a loyal customer and has definitely made me refer many others to Skye Dry Cleaning. read more

I dropped of my suites and shirts,ties and they messed up one shirt and a tie and when asked them about it they wanted nothing to do it with, they wanted to blame me rather than taking responsibility for it. Pretty happy with my service. I had collared shirts dry cleaned. They came back looking as they did when I first bought them, with the exception of the collars on 2 shirts. They were not pressed straight so they have a crooked crease in them. It was a little pricey for such a simple mistake. Otherwise a good dry cleaner. read more

The staff and service have been exceptional. Not only are they my go to for everyday dry cleaning needs but they really went above and beyond when it came to my tailoring working. One of my favorite winter jackets began to fray at the wrists and I wasn't sure much could be done. Great service! Dropped off my wedding dress to get steamed before my wedding (after it had traveled cross-country in a suitcase).
