I explained it was a small job in a 10x10 room with a closet and the oak floor had been covered for at least 30 years and in rough shape. We discussed some options and I answered all of his questions about the floor and the room and he said, sight unseen, it just needed a sanding and new coat of finish and would cost X and he could come do the job in 3 days and would only take 1 day. With some mild doubt I agreed but bored for the best, we've been screwed by contractors before. The day and time he said he'd arrive he did. He came in, looked at the existing floor, the bad floor and immediately said it would take 2 days not 1 because the existing floor was oil based, not water which I thought it was. I was pissed because now I'm assuming the job would cost twice as much and this already felt like bait and switch. Luis explained the job would overall take less time to do in total, but has to be spread out to allow drying time between 2 oil based coats rather than 2 water based coats and the price would be impacted. I got ready to ask him to leave and he said the price would GO DOWN $75!!! I asked him to repeat himself, he laughed and said rather than spending the whole day doing the floor it was only going to take him a few hours now, and come back tomorrow for another 30 minutes and that's it. Let me tell you how shocked I was at his honesty and professionalism. I'm today's market with inflation and all the nonsense that goes on with shady people Luis and his team were exactly what you'd hope them to be. They did an immaculate job on a really rough floor in the time they said and under budget. If I could give them more stars I would.

They said no after having told us on the phone that they could. He asked could you at least fix it for a price? The person on the phone was not interested in helping and was going to charge half of the entire bathroom cost to fix the soap dish. She obviously did not want our business because as my husband was trying to resolve this she put him on hold , the 2 workers who had her on the other line walked out. Very unprofessional. (it was not their fault it was the person on the phone giving them directions) I do not understand what went wrong. My husband was kind and courteous and just wanted to resolve the issue. She was ONLY interested in money. He did say it was a different person who he spoke to this time. So I guess it is all in who you deal with. But if a business is not consistent, I personally would not use them again. 3 stars for the first job which was in June. But it was not complete other wise it would not have fallen apart so easily. Also they did not want to honor their own warranty or even keep our business after having paid in full in cash and also after having given the original worker a generous tip. They just threw away not only a good customer but also we live in a community with many buildings where we could refer them to other customers. There was no reason for this! This was very short sighted of them and unprofessional.
