We hired Beyond Remodeling to transform our pool and patio area, and we are "beyond" pleased with…read morethe results! We received several bids, and while Beyond Remodeling was not the least expensive, the personal attention Dana provided immediately set the company apart. She took the time to sit down with my wife and me to understand our vision, budget, and concerns. While the other companies simply quoted what we requested, Dana offered thoughtful suggestions, alternative options, color schemes, and expert guidance before we ever signed an agreement. She truly brought our vision to life. The entire Beyond Remodeling team was wonderful. They communicated clearly, kept us informed, and walked us through every step of the process. Aside from a few unavoidable delays outside their control, the project remained on schedule. The stone masons and plaster crews were exceptional, and the quality of their work was a solid 10 out of 10. Dana had a previously scheduled vacation during the remodel, but she continued checking in with us by text. Yair, the owner, maintained a strong local presence and made sure everything continued moving forward smoothly in her absence. We cannot say enough good things about Dana, Yair, and the entire Beyond Remodeling team. We highly recommend them and already have Dana and Beyond Remodeling on speed dial for our future remodeling projects!

This place is a scam. I filled out info on their "ADU calculator" on Facebook which promised an…read moreadu estimate within 30 seconds with no visits so that other contractors won't rip you off. The "adu calculator " then says I need a phone Turns out this is just another contractor using slimy tricks. I got a call from this company. I told them about the the adu calculator issue. They said it was a problem with the website. I asked what the costs are for a basic ADU. She said "around $100K". Then she said it would be around $250K. I said what do you get for $100K. She said "nothing ". I asked why she threw out that number. She gave me a bunch of excuses like that she hadn't worked there long or she was unauthorized to give numbers. Either way this is just another contractor rather than a legit ADU calculator and they likely have no interest in actually giving objective real world estimates Stay away from them!

Josef came on-site to our house and showed us many options that would fit different budget points…read more He was honest, friendly, and people-oriented. It really touched me how he truly wanted to help us in our "predicament". You see, we were not prepared for this project of putting a walkway in the side of our home. This was created by our next door neighbor upgrading THEIR side of house walkway, which made our property look more terrible than it already is. So we were caught off guard. Josef saw this need, and instead of closing his book and concluding that we simply did not have the funds to do this project, you could see in his eyes how he truly felt for us and wanted to make this work for us. While we have not yet pulled the trigger on this project (we need more time to accumulate resources), we will be calling Josef back when the time comes. He is the type of person I want to work with.

We had an excellent experience with MC Construction & Design and would highly recommend them…read more From the very beginning, the design process was great. Everything came out exactly as planned, and their proposal worked within our budget while the final result far exceeded our expectations. Communication was excellent throughout the project. Mike and both of our foremen were responsive, easy to work with, and kept us informed along the way. The crews worked long days and accomplished major milestones in a very timely manner. We also appreciated how flexible the entire team was whenever we wanted to make an update or change during the project. Because our home was built in 1957, we knew there was a possibility of uncovering some additional work once construction began. As expected, we ended up needing some significant updates, including repiping and a new electrical panel to bring our home up to current code. MC Construction handled these unexpected items extremely well. The work was completed at a fair price, and our foremen worked closely with the city throughout the permitting and inspection process. We passed every inspection without an issue, which gave us a lot of confidence in the quality of their work. Another thing we really appreciated was how clean the crews left our home and work areas at the end of each day. That attention to detail made living through a major construction project much easier. Overall, we are extremely happy with both the experience and the finished product. Great communication, quality workmanship, fair pricing, flexibility, and a team that truly followed through on what they promised. We highly recommend MC Construction & Design!

For years, we had been curious about expanding our home to include at least one additional bathroom…read moreand bedroom. We didn't know where to start. In our search for a contractor, we had three (3) contractor quotes. We settled with MC Construction and Design based on responsiveness, details and feel. During our Design Phase, we were able let our Project Manager know what we were looking for. He was able to provide a rough design immediately to get us started. Once we finalized our design, MC was able to provide a floor plan and some alternates to consider. This process was quick and smooth, and designs were submitted to the city within a couple of weeks. Our Project included the following three (3) phases: 1. Home Addition - adding 1.5 bathrooms, 1 bedroom and den (~400 sq. ft.) 2. Driveway Replacement 3. Garage Foundation Re-footing After plans were approved, the Project Manager/Owner (Mike) came to introduce himself and the team. Work began the next day. The project scope was estimated to take 6 - 8 months, they completed it in 5 months. The PM and Contractor team was quick to provide updates and answer any questions or concerns during the process. Communication was great. Whenever issues with the home were found, honest recommendations were provided, with no pressure. And also, any minor adjustments were made upon request. Everything went as well as it possibly could. That doesn't come without organization, attentiveness and hard work from the contractor team, so thank you! Overall, it was a good experience working with MC Construction and Design. Would gladly work with them again on any future projects.

Mid-Project Review - AGA Construction…read more We're officially about halfway through our kitchen and dining room renovation with AGA Construction, and we've been extremely happy with the experience and progress so far! This was a pretty extensive renovation that required taking the kitchen and dining area down to the bones. From the start, the AGA Construction team handled the demolition quickly and efficiently, and once everything was opened up, they immediately got to work on the important things you don't necessarily see in the finished product. In just about two weeks, they've tackled the major electrical and plumbing work, brought necessary items up to code, installed new recessed lighting, completed drywall, and have already started/completed the new flooring. It's pretty incredible looking back at the photos of the original kitchen, then seeing the walls and ceiling completely opened up, and now seeing an entirely new space beginning to take shape. A huge part of making the process go so smoothly has been our project manager, Micky. He has been great about guiding us through everything step by step, explaining what the team is working on, answering our questions, keeping us informed about what comes next, and helping us navigate all of the decisions that come with a renovation of this size. Having that communication has made a potentially stressful process feel much more manageable. We're only midway through the project, but it already feels like we've gotten through the hardest and least glamorous part--the demolition and all of the electrical, plumbing, code, drywall and infrastructure work behind the walls. Now we're getting to the exciting part where we can actually watch our new kitchen and dining room come together! So far, we've been very impressed with AGA Construction, Micky, and the entire crew for how quickly and efficiently they've kept everything moving while still keeping us informed throughout the process. These photos show just how much has changed already, from our original kitchen and dining room, through the demolition and behind-the-walls work, to where we are today. We can't wait to see the finished kitchen and dining room and will definitely be sharing an updated review once the entire project is complete!

I just want to take a moment to recognize Karen and say how incredibly grateful I am for everything…read moreshe did for me throughout this entire process. From the very beginning, Karen was always kind, patient, professional, and genuinely willing to help. She went above and beyond countless times--contacting the Department of Building and Safety, staying on top of DWP, making phone calls, following up, and consistently keeping me updated so I always knew where things stood. Anyone who has dealt with permits, utilities, and solar knows how frustrating and time-consuming the process can be, and having Karen helping me made such a huge difference. What impressed me most was her work ethic and the fact that I never felt forgotten. She stayed on top of everything, communicated with me, and truly seemed to care about getting things taken care of. Karen is honestly one of the best people I have ever dealt with throughout any construction or home-improvement project. It is rare to come across someone who is not only great at what they do, but is also genuinely kind and pleasant every single time you speak with them. Karen, thank you so much for all of your hard work, patience, and help. I truly appreciate everything you did for me and my family. We the People are very fortunate to have someone like you.
