But after meeting the team at A to Z Renovations, I finally felt confident I was in good hands. They were on point, punctual, and extremely detail-oriented throughout the entire project. Every step was handled with care and clear communication. The quality of their work exceeded my expectations, and I felt completely comfortable from start to finish. I honestly feel blessed to have found them. Trust is everything when you're doing a renovation, and A to Z truly delivered on every level. I highly, highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again in the future.

But the job they did deserves recognition. Among the many people worth a shout-out: designer Chaya Uzan whose enthusiasm and ideas gave us a sense that our project was quite special; and Robbie Goldberg, our day-to-day contact and project manager, who brought a craftsman's eye to all aspects of the job. When problems were encountered, problems were fixed. An example: once we installed a new oven in the kitchen we realized that we would have to do without a favorite built-in spice cabinet. Robbie came up with ingenious fix requiring some custom carpentry so that the spice rack did not disappear but became an integral of the whole. Anthony, our renovation expert, was our first contact with A to Z. He encouraged us not to give up on what we wanted the project to look like even though other renovators had told us it was impossible to do. He also offered to answer any questions we might have along the way. Then there's Shevy, the permit and insurance coordinator. She dealt with the necessary paperwork and kept the inspectors at bay so we did not have to deal with those headaches. And last but not least, Mario, the site manager, who was there every day, hands-on, always professional and pleasant. On that note, the entire team seemed to like one another and treated us and each other with a refreshing degree of decency and consideration. To summarize: The team at ATOZ was thoroughly professional and kept us informed with clear, consistent communication every step of the way. Importantly, the team worked efficiently to stay on schedule and were fair when an unexpected issues arose, providing clear solutions. The final result is exceptional, and the quality of work exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend ATOZ to anyone.

The worst of it was when the PM completely ignored the delivery inventory and we ended up waiting for items that had already been delivered. A simple step not taken doubled timeline from 3 to 6 months. I was told there could be a future visit to finish/correct last items. Several texts were exchanged, promises made, but no-one ever showed and small things have gone undone.

The work started in mid-June 2018 and was supposed to be completed by Labor Day as Home Depot/ARC promised. But, I did not sign the completion form until March 2019 (even though there was ceiling work left to do - to repair damages sustained during the renovation). As the renovation began, there were periods when ARC did not show up for days at a time. When they did show up, they continued to work beyond the hours permitted by my apartment's management. So at one point, my super denied them access to my building for three days. The quality of their work was completely unprofessional. Some issues included the kitchen cabinets having holes for some bizarre reason and the ceiling was damaged as I have mentioned. But, the most egregious issue was that I could not get hot water from my newly installed shower. The water was lukewarm at best. Although I pointed this out to the ARC supervisor, he instead told me that there were new NYC regulations that limited water temperature. So, I called the shower manufacturer and found out that the temperature for the shower was installed incorrectly. I passed this information to the ARC supervisor and they finally fixed it. In the end, I did not have a hot shower for three long weeks. The district manager from Home Depot had to get involved by October 2018 for ARC to start working consistently and fix the problems. In November 2018 the ARC supervisor asked me to sign the completion agreement even though the job was not complete. ARC finally fixed the tiles in the shower in January 2019 but refused to fix the ceiling. I finally gave up on ARC and signed the completion form and got Home Depot to contact another contractor to finally fix the ceiling. The new contractor fixed the ceiling in just 90 minutes. If you use Home Depot and ARC- it will be a terrible experience with many delays & work quality issues.

We have a split level and they remodeled our kitchen, took down walls, put in beams, worked with our kitchen designer and gave us the kitchen of our dreams. They were so clean throughout the process and communicative. We never had to ask what was happening, Ray and his team kept us in the loop on everything daily. It was important to Ray that we were happy with the work as well and he made sure to check in with us throughout the project. They were done quicker than we anticipated and we can't wait to have Ray and his team back to re-do our bathroom. I have been recommending Ray and his team to all my friends and colleagues and would continue to recommend him to anyone that needs a great GC. In the pictures you'll see before with the older kitchen and all the walls, I included pictures when Rays team was working, to the final product, no walls and an open concept kitchen. We were so lucky to find Ray, his price was fair, he was transparent about everything, and he really did walk us through the entire process.

If you desire to deal with "family" to redo anything and everything home related, look no further. These skilled artisans will do it your way and not walk away until you are completely satisfied. They stand behind every job they take on, 110%! For me, I wanted to do a total "facelift" of my home, transforming from brick to vinyl siding, including all new doors and windows. Exceptionally talented, hard-working craftsmen showed up at my home, faithfully, each day to create the solid, stylish, cozy dwelling that I now enjoy. It is also important for me to address "value". There was a tremendous amount of work that had to be done to achieve the end product. To be honest, I expected to pay a great deal more than I actually did. Apollo does not inflate the cost to the homeowner; they are well aware of the rising cost of living, and they work with you. I feel that I got more than I paid for! It was my dream to make the house I bought into the home I love and Apollo made that possible. I would be remiss if I did not include my thanks to Sia, the mastermind of this corporation. The endless hours she puts in to really listen to each customer's needs is nothing short of miraculous. She goes the entire distance to be certain that every client is pleased with his/her outcome. God bless her! In conclusion, I urge you to check out this amazing construction company before you sign a contract with any competitor. Apollo is the one that will do it all; trust me!
