We pick the fresh herbs at the water side and the mushrooms in local woodland. Our suppliers are often local, because it inspires and tells a story about the food we serve. For us it is not important to be specifically Nordic or Southern. Important however is the taste, the harmony and above all we can vouch for. The hotel's desire for domestic bliss is continued in the restaurant. The atmosphere is at the same time unpretentious and stylish with plenty of time and space for pampering. The wine list is primarily composed of European wines. From the great classic producers to the small and quirky wineries who make wine with edge and attitude. Frederiksminde is intended as an oasis, a sanctuary from the everyday bustle and workloads. Therefore, it is essential for us that this peace is maintained. This means, that when you are moving around in the hotel rooms, the banquet rooms or in the restaurant please always do so in a quiet manner.

The hotel offers a free breakfast buffet, afternoon snacks like cake and coffee, but most of all.... there is a nice light dinner that is provided that made me come back to the hotel a second time. The food here is really delicious and plentiful. The rooms are a bit small by American standards, but they are clean and provide a great night's sleep. There is a nice gym in the basement that has free weights and cardio equipment. Next door is also a small upscale supermarket. Overall, this is the best hotel in Malmo and they have gone above and beyond to ensure anyone has a comfortable stay. I can't wait to come back again.....

I'd somehow still call it a B&B, but Hotel works too I guess. The room I was in was very cozy, the view on Stege Nor was amazing! Check out my pictures =) The host was very friendly, she recommended great places to visit while on Mon and seemed totally into wanting to give me a great experience staying there. The room was a little pricey, it was DKK 600 for one night and person including breakfast, but okay, I had a great room. Except for the shower, which was in the toilet, so when showering everything gets wet (paper towels, mirror, toilet....). But who cares. Unfortunately the breakfast wasn't very rich. As I am part Swiss, part Danish and travel a lot I can tell that it wasn't prepared with love, unlike other places I had visited. That's why I only give four stars.
