But when I was checking out Copenhagen was supporting the Tour de France, and a major part of the city was closed to road traffic. I had to get the the ferry terminal (to take the ferry to Oslo - which I highly recommend) And the concierge personally helped me with my bags, and walked me to the subway station and made sure I got on the correct train. During my recent visit, there was construction happening directly above my second floor room and it started at 7AM. When I asked the front desk, they were quick to apologize and offered breakfast which was nice. Apparently, the construction was not suppose to begin until 8AM, but it started at 7AM (at least above my room). At least I had to get up around that time, but the noise was shrill and unpleasant. Also, my room was exceedingly warm even with A/C running all night. I'd try the Skt. Petri again, but check to the status of the construction project. 3 stars during my visit, would expect it to be higher next time.

Free wifi is also included and it seemed that the connection was fairly decent and was able to hold a facetime connection with my wife back home with no problems. Service. 3 1/2 Stars. A little hit and miss here, as the desk staff for the most part was very friendly, but some were more helpful than others. We first arrived at 11PM and found a 15 minute parking spot right in front of the hotel. Past a certain time, they lock the entrance and you either open with your room key or you need to ring the doorbell. I wish I could remember the staff members names :( they were all so sweet and helpful! From giving us a small tour, taking us to the elevator and someone waiting in the cold to help us park the rental, these people are just awesome. I personally thought the people we encountered in our short stay were very sweet. People smiled back :D that does not happen at home. LOL. P.S parking is $40 USD The rooms are even more beautiful in person. We got a basic room because it was a short stay and our flight was the next day at 12PM. The water was warm compared to what we were using the days prior in Italy. The bed was A+. There's a stocked mini fridge and a couple of snacks (not free) but it helps for any midnight munchies. We ended up driving up to Mcdonald's. Hear me out... If you feel like the chicken nuggets have never tasted the same than before in the US, TRY IT OUT IN COPENHAGEN. Conveniently located near Copenhagen Airport: 30 minutes from airport by Metro( yellow line, eight stops), the stop is Kongens Nyrtov. If by Uber, 15 minutes @$30 2. In City Center, thus, you are in walking distance of numerous landmarks: Nyhavn, Radhuspladsen, Tivoli Gardens, to name a few 3. Check in is a breeze, you can do so by QR code or friendly staff 4. Numerous options of dining nearby from takeout to fine dining 5. The neighborhood, Kongens Nyrtov, very safe which is important when you are traveling. The area is bustling all day, there are always people coming and going 6. There are 2 Metro stations, Kongens Nyrtov and Marmorkirken, @7 minute walk from hotel. Both stations, immaculate, busy and elevator access Cons: 1. Room: this is dorm living; small room, small bathroom, no closets, small desk, uncomfortable chairs. However, bed is extremely comfortable and I used the big bed drawer that stored comforter as my clothes "closet". The shower temperature takes a while to get to the right heat 2. No frills: no fridge, no coffee, no toiletries noise level is okay 3. Cleanliness: in certain countries, you need to ensure your room is cleaned due to water conservation, thus here you need to email the days you want room cleaned,otherwise... 4. Value: tough one because location is key but hotel is overpriced. I have stayed in better hotels that charged less than this. My thought process for a short stay: as long as room is clean because I'm only using it to sleep and shower, I'm good. However, when I arrived at 9am, 6 hours before check in, they had rooms available but I paid a little more for an "upgrade" and to check in early. 5. Miscellaneous: services are limited such as if you need to convert money they do not offer it. Would I stay again..if this was the only hotel available then yes. However, next time it's a houseboat for me.

If you needed towels or toilet paper a request made at the front desk was never delivered and you had to physically go down there and fetch it yourself. What is it that you actually pay for? There is also a scam going on. Since most US flights arrive in the morning you cannot get the room until 3pm. And I mean 3pm no matter if the room is actually ready. But the very "helpful staff" will quickly offer an immediate room for an extra fee per night and if you refuse will make certain you dont get the room before 3pm.
