The reception closes in the evening, sometimes early (4pm), but the sister hotel is the Grand which is a couple of minutes walk away and they are available 24/7. Tea and coffee is available at all times in takeaway cups in reception (no facilities in the rooms). The car park is under the hotel and you need your room keycard to open the door and a paper pass to prove you've paid in the window. Very central location, a couple of minutes to the train station.

They have the best breakfast around with plenty to choose from. I've only snacked on the dinner menu. Downtown Lund is only a 10 minute walk and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from there. They have a nice little bar to grab a drink as well. The pricing is competitive for the area. The service staff tends to be very friendly and helpful as well.

The hotel is built in the shell of an old railroad engine house and they use the railway theme to decorate the lobby and hallways. The staff was very helpful, the room (with a fridge and stove top) was bright and sunny, the bed was comfy, there was plenty of parking, and the breakfast (included) was a huge buffet with everything from pastry and skyr to eggs and cheese. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant or the outdoor v=bar with a pizza oven, but they looked inviting. My only complaint: whoever designed the lighting over the sink obviously does not shave. One word of caution: GPS had us turn into the pedestrian walkway south of the hotel. Oops! The entrance is in fact on the north side. And just in case you're wondering, I have no idea why it's called the "More" hotel.

The hotel itself is in a more quiet area, surrounded by tech/science/start ups. I believe there are some offices connected to the hotel. The hotel is also close to Lund University. The hotel has a lot of amenities including a gym, restaurant etc. The lobby is very nice and cozy as well with ample seatings. Rooms are quite spacious - you have to pay extra for a window though oddly enough. The rooms have everything you need - my favourite feature was heated flooring in the washroom - how cool is that? Pillows are also super comfortable. My only issue is the distance from the city centre which is why it loses a star from me. If I'm ever in Lund again, I would stay here!

I could imagine bum/writers from those times finding their inspiration in such places: a small restaurant with spare rooms on the 1st floor, each room designed with discarded furniture from the other grand hotels around; tiny doors, straight doorways, Amsterdam-steep stairs; the smell of cigarette smoke coming up from the room(s) next door. In the morning, the restaurant is buzzing with activity of the restaurant preparing itself for the day to come. The owner is a smiling kind man.
