The positives: within walking distance of the RER / Metro lines - getting around was very very easy.
Nice location - walking distance to Notre Dame and the Lourve, and restaurants galore within walking distance.
Free WIFI in the room (although it wanted to log us out a lot)
Brand-new bathroom
No problem with noise from the Irish Pub downstairs during the World Cup of 2014.
Our double room included a mini-fridge, hair dryer, sink and cook top (hidden under the counter on the left as you enter the room)
Good security (need your key card to get in the building AND room)
The air conditioning in the room was adequate - we ran it and it kept the room comfortable.
Close to the Seine River, so you can walk the east and the west banks.
The negatives:
The elevator for the building stands three abreast (and you have to be close friends)
The shears and drapes cover the air conditioner, so we made due by folding the drapes over the shelf over the AC unit so the cold air could flow out of the unit at night.
This unit is in a Paris neighborhood, so you'll want to use your shears or drapes - you are literally 15 feet from someone's window on the other side.
The drain in our shower (no tub) was slow.
The vent in the bathroom was plugged with lint and wasn't working.
First off, this was our first trip to Paris France. Paris is a very walkable city - about the only time it was challenging was when we got up in the Mons Mart area. The pickpockets are not overstated, and are everywhere - we went with a Pacsafe anti theft neck pouch, and saw others use them effectively.
The bed was comfortable, and we were able to get to sleep with no problems. read more
