Instead someone that goes by Bud Buckwalter told me it doesn't start and that he's gonna have it crushed. Which is funny cause they still have the truck to this day with multiple videos being sent to me of them driving it around there yard. With the most recent video of them driving it being 3-15-2025 Unfortunately I'm unable to do a thing about this which is heartbreaking being this was my grandfathers truck who passed unexpectedly Christmas Day 2023 which was when I got the truck passed down. We were about an hour away from our destination when on the highway we heard something start dragging underneath the car, holding our breath hoping it wasn't too much to be concerned over we pulled over at the nearest exit and into a random business parking lot. Getting out and looking under the car we saw our exhaust line snapped in half. Heartbroken and defeated we didn't know what the outcome would be - do we have to just go home being only 1 hour away from our once a year vacation? How much is this going to cost us? Who is even going to help us with us being so far away from home? We called our car insurance and they ordered us a tow truck service and we are forever grateful it turned out to be Ben from HD Recovery and Towing! Not only did Ben show up way earlier than the estimated time of arrival, (thank goodness because it was such a hot day!) he had a smile on his face and just helped keep our spirits up. He was knowledgeable and friendly and turned our day right around. He helped us go over options and was patient while me and my fiance went back and forth until we came up with a solution so we could get to our festival. He stayed with us while we called a car rental company and drove us there, and then waited in the parking lot to make sure we were ready to be back on the road. From the bottom of our hearts we are so appreciative and thankful to Ben and HD Recovery. Not only is their pricing great but I would have paid anything just for the simple fact that there are amazing human beings. To be helped so much by a stranger really reminded us that there is still so much good in the world. Yes it is there job to get us back on the road, but it was the fact while driving around in what could have been an awkward situation Ben had us laughing, talking and connecting. It felt like a friend was helping us out. We made it to our music festival had an amazing 5 days, but my fiance and I credit that to Ben. He was the reason we were able to create those lifetime memories and for that we are forever grateful!
