Tim, one of the exterminators, came the very same day we called in our concern. He sprayed the nest and applied a powder, this being done with a very long (20'), unwieldy device. The yellow jackets are now gone, and it seems unlikely they will return. Tim recommended we wait at least seven days and to call if they did come back. Cost was reasonable given the stress we were feeling with the yellow jackets in our home. DO NOT USE THIS GUY! Ok, so at first I thought everything would be great, he claims to use…read moreenvironmentally safe treatments, his pricing is reasonable, and he called me back within 2 hours of a message being left. He is also NYS certified to use these chemicals. When he showed up is where the problems started. First of all, he pulled up in an unmarked SUV, and I thought he was a friend of the neighbors. Then, when he came into the house, he used the little syringe type of dispensers to place the chemicals on the corner of the windows. Guess what, the ants come from other places as well. Anyways, then he went outside and sprayed. Great. He then gave me a receipt and told me that in 2 months, he would call, or I could call him for re-application. That raised a red flag - who calls whom? Then he said that if we have any issues, to call him back in a week, and he would come and re-apply. Needless to say - we have issues, and 3 phone calls later, and 4 days, he has yet to call back. I give up, and am moving on. Chalking this up to a loss. Next time I will use a credit card so that way when someone doesn't show up like promised, I can dispute the transaction. Thanks for nothing JAMES!
