Cool store, pretty big (I've been to really cramped comic stores in the past) this place was well organized with a lot of comics and sans the hand made crap other places fill up their stores with. The employees were friendly, people were setting up matches at the tables in the back. They had a food/snack menu, rare comics on display and the $1-$2 comics in the middle bins. Everything was reasonably priced. The dollar comics I found were pretty sweet. They came in cardboards and in new condition. I'll definitely come back when I visit the area again

I love this place! Great selection of comics, magic cards, and a decent shelf of manga! My husband and I come every week

Clean, friendly, and helpful. Not to mention they have some pretty neat things that don't just range from strictly comics.

5/5 - Exceptional Experience at Sanctum Temecula Card Shop!…read more Sanctum Temecula is hands down one of the best local card shops I've visited. The atmosphere is welcoming, organized, and perfect for both collectors and casual players. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, whether you're talking about Warhammer, Pokémon cards, or One Piece TCG. I had a great personal experience shopping here--Rob and Dan was friendly, patient, and willing to answer questions or share insights about upcoming sets and events. The Warhammer selection is top-notch, with plenty of paints, minis, and supplies. Their One Piece card inventory is well-stocked and fairly priced, with a genuine focus on building community rather than just making sales. They have a limit of pokemon cards and make that for the younger generations to have. Whether you're looking to expand your collection, play in a tournament, or just hang out with fellow fans, Sanctum Temecula offers a positive and professional environment that makes you want to come back. Highly recommended for anyone who loves trading cards and tabletop gaming!

So..... run on sentence out of the way now, Nuclear comics is pretty awesome in case you were still wondering. It is definitely more comics focused, eschewing a hybrid approach of gaming, comics and all things geek under one retail roof. They have a great collection. You walk in and it's shelves stacked! The staff member there was awesome. We chatted a bit, he made some recs, was awesome to my kids (teens) and just generally the kind of person you want at any establishment. A very easy 5 stars from me :)

The staff was very helpful and super friendly. Prices were great. We went to see a friend at an event and it just happened to be Comic Book day. This seems an ideal location, with plenty of free parking and, judging by the flow of pedestrian traffic in and out of this shop on a "Comic Book Wednesday" many customers agree. Hubs declared a large selection of comics, games and collectibles. He proudly emerged over an hour after parking with a smile on his cute nerdy face and a bag filled with reading materials in his hand. He was very surprised and happy that his purchase amount ~$80TL awarded him with a cool graphic novel. Happiness shortly turned to a bit of confusion when he took a moment to peruse his receipt and discovered he had been charged about 4x the amount he should have been for a comic. He checked online to make sure he didn't grab a ltd edition, or special release, and determined he hadn't. I waited while he returned inside. About 10 minutes he reemerged - HAPPY AGAIN! Seems the clerk, Daniel (guessing from the receipt ), didn't catch it and agreed it had been incorrectly priced. He further apologized saying he usually catches the comics over $20 and confirms the customer is aware when they are purchasing a more expensive issue. So Daniel was sorry he missed that completely. Hubs confirmed that he was still ok receiving the free graphic novel and was assured, yes, his purchase amount still qualified for the free novel. The over charge was returned to Hubs and he was happy with the store, Daniel and his customer service. Knowhere G&C has been bookmarked for our future SD road trips. Cheers! "CC"

Comic Stronghold is a son Gavin, and a Mom Trish and Pop operation. They carry all the current comics, from Patrick Horvath's Beneath the Trees, to all the new Marvel & DC titles. They even have a comfy reading area. Gavin knows his titles and is great with service and offering value to the buyer. For instance, his Ashcans are free and he has set up a table with free posters. Wow. Nice.

It's VERY welcoming and clean for new readers, kids, or comic curious individuals. For example, I dropped in after the new Superman movie came out and there was lively conversation. The owner was directing first time readers to All Star Superman which made me happy. Flash forward to this past weekend and went on Free Comic Book day(first Saturday in May) and the owner was working out of his mind to make it an amazing experience for all which warmed my Captain Cold frozen heart. Big discounts and people dressed up! I'm guaranteed to come back now that SoCal Comics has closed which ran one of the best Free Comic Book Days. RIP Uncle Ben & SoCal Comics. The Comics Stronghold is building a back issue presence and have discount bins and bundle packs which I love. I did not think this store would last when it opened, but they have endured and seem like they have regulars! Thank the Beyonder! I'm curious if they will really lean into the diversification and have Game/Comedy nights. The competition is tough being so close to Ninja Exchange and Comics-N-Stuff(DONT GO THERE). If I wasn't broke I would start a pull list from them because would like to see this shop succeed! Excelsior!

The staff was very knowledgeable about comics and eager to banter about them. Prices are slightly high but the selection is top notch. I was at my wit's end. Several other comic stores didn't have any in stock, were closed on their supposed "open" hours, or just had the worst customer service. I had just spent an entire day going to different comic shops, getting ignored or dismissed by employees... and then I found Comic Book Hideout. Not only did they HAVE Winter Soldier comics, an employee (Nate?) went above and beyond to sort through every box to find me issues that even had the barest minimum of Bucky Barnes cameo. The issues were in great quality and reasonably priced, too. I even managed to find another elusive issue here that I've been hunting online for MONTHS. Comic Book Hideout felt like a reward after all the suffering and frustration I endured at all the other, neighboring comic shops in the area. Save yourself the trouble and just make this place your number one pick. Their selections and friendly customer service are unmatched, at least in a 25 mile radius around it!
