The selection was pretty solid--easy to find comic books by brand or superhero, plus books and other collectibles too. So Ryan sold his business to Illinois based Graham Crackers back in 2019 during the pandemic. We knew Graham Crackers from there and was al as impressed. There are four, or five Comic book/ Hobby stores in the greater Temecula Valley area. The former Ryan's or Graham Crackers as it is also known, is an honest, to goodness Comic Book store. The others specialize in one area, or another, but mostly cards like Magic, D& D, Warhammer gamers. I came in to get card cardboard organizers. The prices seem very fair and everyone was nice and friendly. I know that might sound trite, but this type of business seems to attract egos. None here at Graham Crackers! Five stars. read more

An amazing comic shop. There was an actual buzz when I went in there. The place was full of people. Very rarely do I go to a comic shop and see more than a handful of customers much less a crowded comic shop. It was awesome. They had extensive collection of back issues. Not just your regular run of the mill books you find anywhere; but actual hard to find issues from the Bronze Age. A period of comics between 1970-1985. I found myself digging through boxes and boxes of comics. It didn't take long before I amassed a nice stack of comics to buy. A fantastic comic shop. One I hope to visit again one of these days. I have been shopping GC comics on their website for a long time, and when passing through the area I decided to stop in and check out the brick and mortar location. Despite not being able to find what I was looking for, I still ended up picking through the back issues and finding some great stuff! The store is clean, well stocked, and the staff is mostly friendly, though it took a while for anyone to engage with me. There was one employee who seemed weirdly standoffish with me, even to the point where I felt like he was staring at me the entire time. It was strange, but I just didn't engage with him and the other employees answered my questions just fine. The back issues are plentiful, but many of them aren't in perfect order in the boxes, understandably so, it would be no easy task with the sheer amount of back issues available. If I had hours to sit here and dig through the boxes, I'm sure I could find plenty of issues I need to fill holes in my collection, but on a time crunch, it can be a little bit of a task to find what you're looking for. I also wasn't that fond of some of the prices, and certain issues seemed to be way overpriced for what they were going for online. Overall, despite the few minor hiccups, I did enjoy this shop and if I lived in the area, I'm sure the standoffishness, and the struggle to find the issues I want would become a minor footnote in an otherwise great experience. If I'm back in the neighborhood, I'd surely stop back in. read more

The folks there are friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are very reasonable and they have great sales. It has the best selection of any comic book store anywhere around. Especially of back issues, which is what I care about. If you can't find what you're looking for they can often get it for you and you can pick it up in store. read more

A lot of the bad reviews are for the old mask mandate which isn't very fair and goes to show the type of unfortunate area and clientele they have to deal with. However, as someone who purchases comics weekly on release day, this isn't the place to visit. I alternate between here and a different shop every week depending which city I am in on Wednesdays and I unfortunately always dread coming to Graham Crackers Comic's. They seem to not be buying enough stock and just overcharge on the 1 or 2 variants left on the shelf of THAT WEEK'S RELEASE. I thought arriving after noon was my mistake with this shop but arriving earlier meant nothing unfortunately. Still no stock by the "NEW this week" signs no matter the time. No variant covers of 90% of the comics they have. They have a "pool list" so you can get your comics pulled but that genuinely ruins my experience when you have to go by their boring rules to get a comic when half my enjoyment comes from shopping and finding. In the end, I'll come here just because it's one of the only comic shops when I'm in Temecula but that's probably how they're still in business. Despite the atrocious amount of inventory they keep, the staff is nice and as helpful as they can be. They take their time with each and every customer and ask a lot of questions pertaining to your account if you have one and looking it up takes them awhile. Which isn't a bad thing if they're not busy, but I've had multiple instances of having only one or two customers in front of me and having to wait through long conversations just to check out with 2 comics. Your mileage may very but the staff here has never come off rude, impatient or annoyed. They're genuinely some of the nicest people I've ever met and I've come in with an attitude and frustration in the past and I've been impressed by their de-escalation and professionalism. My score could absolutely be released if they ever gave normal customers a chance and getting any variants or stock of day of releases. At the moment I can't recommend this place for anyone who reads weekly releases. read more

Probably the best comic shop I've ever been to. They had a really good selection of graded comics as well as new, TPB, back issues, and old horror. My son was digging the Star Wars vintage collection figures which were in abundance. Murrieta is lucky to have such a rad resource for comics. read more

I need to admit I was wrong here. My initial review of this shop came shortly after its transition in ownership, which meant a shift in style, if not overall scenery. Like anything worthwhile, it took a fair amount of time to find its stride. With the mass lockdowns related to COVID-19, I'll admit I was worried this shop wouldn't make it through to the other side. They made it. And what has emerged is a store fully in touch with and aware of itself. From new books to classic collectors issues, they've got a fantastic selection of everything. Trade paperback and graphic novels beat any other similarly supplied store in town. And they've even added a children's section, stocked with everything from Golden Books to Pokémon manga volumes. I bring my son in with me every Wednesday for New Comic Book Day, and we both always find plenty to look through. I take back anything negative I might have said in my prior review. This shop is absolutely fantastic and deserves every penny of the business it gets and then some. read more

I've only ever been to comic stores a handful of times in my life, usually I feel very awkward or almost judged? Cause I'm usually there to get something that correlates with a TV show I like and just feel like "oh of course shes here for that." I went to this one with my 10 yr old nephew, he wanted demon slayer and I wanted Avater Last Airbender, however I also wanted to get into some more horror esque comics on my own. GIBRAN(spelling? He said it was like a verb lol) was absolutely an ANGEL. The second I walked in he engaged with me on the avatar comics, I didn't feel weird or out of place. He then saw me checking out other comics and would tell me a bit about them. from there I told him my interests and he led me around giving me so many options and so much information. He was soooo knowledgeable, so friendly, and so welcoming. Idk who owns this store, but NEVER let that man go.(I mean unless he wants to leave, otherwise thatd be kidnapping lol) Thank you so much Gibran. What happened to fully vaccinated people not wearing mass? I get it... They are allowed to make the rules in their own establishment. The first thing I was greeted with when I walked in the store was : "Where's your mask?!" Apparently this establishment doesn't want to follow the state's lifting of the mask ban. If you guys are still scared of this virus and want to wear a mask, that's cool; but forcing your customers to wear one when it is no longer required is a bad idea. This spot used to be called Ryan's Comics but apparently was bought by a larger company. The former owner Ryan is gone and it doesn't seem like any of the faces that used to work here are still there. Not sure when it changed but man has it changed. The first thing I noticed was all the chairs and tables for reading and playing Magic the Gathering are gone. The place is jam packed with statues and trade paperbacks. The mood seems to be "get in, get your POP! Vinyls and pulls, and get out. When this place was Ryan's Comics I would sit and preview new stuff, especially manga, and ended up buying a lot of indie titles (like Alex + Ada and SAGA) because Ryan let you preview stuff in store. I don't mind the tables for Magic being gone since Tier 1 down the freeway is a better spot for play anyway but it does change the "mood" in the store a bit. As an example - the bathroom is now "employees only" which is just bizarre to see. It just feels like a spot to grab your stuff and leave to enjoy somewhere else, instead of a local hangout to meet like minded folks, like it used to be. I will say the floor staff seem at least cordial, but they seemed far more interested in chatting with each other than with my wife and I. I did appreciate that the guy behind the counter let me know about their specials and deals - they were having buy two get one free on trade paperbacks and I snagged a couple of books that my wife and I had been holding out on. I also spoke over the phone to JC the store manager a few days later (I had grabbed The Wicked and the Divine vol 1 and needed to exchange it since I forgot I already had it). Completely different vibe than his employees - he was engaged and very easy to talk to over the phone. He made the exchange process super easy which was appreciated. I wish he could pass on his enthusiasm to some of his employees. All in all I probably won't make this a destination store anymore. Ryan certainly had his off days but something about having an owner in store who was passionate about the product and encouraged people to stay and hang was nice. Without the "local hangout spot" vibe there's really nothing to make the store standout against their closest competitors and nothing to make me stop in. read more
