Thankfully we had a heat pump to get us by but that thing was reaching the end of its life. We had five companies come out to quote us a laundry list of things with the main items being a new package unit, and removing the old boiler and heat pump. Wyatt was the only one who bothered to get down into the crawl, took photos, and showed us issues we didn't know were there. Additionally, he sealed up all the duct seams, ran a dedicated duct to a room way across the house that now feels comfortable, a new Ecobee thermostat, Halo air purifier, a new return setup, and a few other much needed repairs... NONE of which he tried to upsell me on, but I was the one who pointed out most of these issues to which he had solid solutions that fit our budget. I'm sure I'm missing something! He spent almost an entire week here working his tail off so that we'd have reliable heat ASAP. He was very reasonably priced, polite, and an absolute pleasure to work with. I noted that they were a plumber that…read morequalified for Yelp's guarantee program, a neat program that I've fortunately never had to use. I did my initial contact outside of business hours. Early the next morning, I had a message from Adam B. Once I got to work, I returned the call and quickly described my issue and what I believed it to be. The first available appointment wasn't until Monday (it wasn't urgent, so I wasn't worried about going the weekend). I got my timeframe. I had a couple other appointments that day, so I ended up taking the day off so I could easily be available. I immediately liked that they told me who would be arriving - AND that was who arrived. I also liked that they use a customer portal that allows you to have some security if you pay online or to review your records. Christian arrived (there was one other person with him). It took him a couple minutes to diagnose the issue he believed it to be, and it took him not a lot longer to determine that diagnosis correct. He quoted the price, I agreed, and he got to work. After finishing the work, he determined the original issue I'd believed it to be wasn't quite needing to be addressed (but will be in the near future). We discussed options, including ways I could save a bit. Christian was personable and explained things in a way I could understand. The issue was likely caused by me, but he managed to avoid using the word "idiot" at any point. The repair was done in a timely manner. The price ended up being a bit lower than quoted. I appreciated his honesty as he very easily could have pointed me toward a repair not needing done yet. It also became obvious the last person I'd used had really only done half the job. Everything has worked beautifully since Christian finished. There are likely a couple more projects I'll tackle in the near future, and I won't hesitate to return to Grateful Plumber. The housecall was $59, but that was credited toward the repair once I decided to have them do the work. Friendly employees. Good follow-through. Fair pricing. Quality work. Problem solved. That's 5-star for me and another winner for Yelp's project feature.

My salt tank is currently full of water, and I have been trying to get service for more than two weeks. Since my initial call, I have repeatedly been told that someone would contact me to schedule an appointment. After waiting more than two weeks, we finally received a call this week and were given a service window of 12:00-4:00 PM two days later. I had to take time off work to be home during that time, only for no one to show up. There was no phone call, text message, or any explanation for the missed appointment. We even called the number that was used to schedule the appointment, but no one answered. This has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The communication and customer service were excellent while we were purchasing the system, but our experience after the sale has been completely different. I understand that unexpected service issues can happen, but what is unacceptable is the lack of follow-up, communication, and respect for our time. After spending nearly $5,000 on a system only three months ago, I expect the company to stand behind its product and provide the service we were promised. I hope the company takes this complaint seriously and improves its customer service and follow-up process.
