They put spacers in and he is scheduled to get his braces next Wednesday, 6/29. I decided I should get him in for his regular dental exam and cleaning prior to getting braces. We finished at the dental office at 4:20 p.m. so I called Dr. Holt's office to see if there was any way someone could stay past 4:30 to put the spacers back in and sure enough Tiffany and Shelly both waited for us. This saved me the time and gas $$$ of having to take him to their Roseville office today to get the spacers put back in. I was an Invisalign patient of Dr. Mark Holt about 15 years ago. My soon-to-be 40-year-old daughter just finished her Invisalign treatment with Dr. Holt a month or so ago. The customer service at all of his locations is exceptional. I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment with the scheduling and overall…read morecustomer service experience at Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics. It has become extremely difficult to get appointments that reasonably accommodate our children's schedules. There appears to be a significant imbalance between the number of patients being accepted and the availability of dentists and orthodontists to properly serve them. As a parent, I have repeatedly had to rearrange my own work and personal schedule around the limited appointment times available, only to then wait an unreasonable amount of time when we need to reschedule. We were even willing to travel to another Kids Care location where an orthodontist was available, yet we were told that was not an option. If your practice is specifically focused on children, I believe there should be greater consideration for the fact that these are students who have school, classes, exams, and other important academic commitments. Expecting children to repeatedly miss school because the office cannot provide reasonable scheduling options is simply not acceptable. What is especially frustrating is that this does not feel like a patient-centered practice. It gives the impression that the priority is accommodating more patients rather than adequately supporting the families who are already receiving care. The call center has also been a major source of frustration. On multiple occasions, the representatives have been unable to provide clear answers, resolve scheduling issues, or offer meaningful assistance. This results in parents spending significant amounts of time trying to get simple issues resolved, often with no satisfactory outcome. I am asking management to seriously evaluate your scheduling practices, staffing levels, communication between locations, and the effectiveness of your call center. Families should not have to continually rearrange their lives, pull children out of school, or wait excessively for appointments simply because there are not enough providers or reasonable scheduling options.
