I used this office for about 3 yrs and was very happy with the staff and Dr. Thompson. Staff went out of their way to coordinate my appts with my son's so we wouldn't have to make two separate trips from Rancho Murieta. We didn't need anything other than routine cleanings and x-rays so I don't really know much about the quality of their other services. We had to switch dentists because Dr. Thompson does not accept the Aetna Discount Dental Plan and the drive down Scott Rd., got to be too tedious. They were very good about transferring records etc., to the new office. read more

On my first visit, I was impressed with the staff, and the degree of care taken by my Hygienist Lexi, and Dr Thompson. They accepted my dental insurance plan without hesitation. Today I had a chat with Dr. Thompson, and he wanted to know how I felt about going to the dentist. I answered in generalities - that I don't like to go to the dentist (in general). I should have said that if I have to go to one, I would rather go here. How many people can say they look forward to their dentist appointment? Well I can. Dr Thompson and his staff always make me feel comfortable and relaxed, whether it is a cleaning, filling or a crown. He has done all 3. When he replaced the crown, my mouth guard did not fit correctly, he took the time to make it fit, at no extra charge. Dr Thompson also guaranties his work. I know he will not do anything that doesn't need to be done. My husband found Dr Thompson 13-14 years ago, and I have never had any doubts or problems with his work. Great dentist! I had a very expensive estimate of dental repairs from a dental office in El Dorado Hills. Something made me think, this isn't right. Dr Thompson took a look at me that very afternoon, gave me a cleaning, and sent me on my way. Saved me thousands of dollars. I've had a fear of dentists for years and to make matters worse, I had nothing but poor dental work done that would tap my insurance out, that was BEFORE I was referred to Dr. Thompson by my coworker. This man is the epitome of what a medical professional should be. He is honest, friendly, quick, efficient, and he cares about his patients. The office even checked in to make sure i was ok after my wisdom teeth extraction on Christmas Eve when they were closed. The office is clean, the girls that work there are welcoming, sweet, and able to get you scheduled with ease. They work with your finances, which is huge to me. Most places push carecredit on you, but with my husband and me, that wasn't an option. I no longer have a fear of going to the dentist and instead am excited for my upcoming appointment.
