Awful dentist. Abrasive, unpleasant, but more importantly, incompetent. Made me two porcelain veneers that were oddly shaped and flat, and refused to correct them after the fact. I have been going to Dr. Roth's office for almost 14 years. Let me begin by saying I have an unreasonable distaste for dental work of any-kind coupled with a very low pain tolerance for related work. These poor people have only ever seen the uptight ball of nerves version of me. Dr. Roth and every single person I have encountered over the years on his staff has only ever treated me with the utmost level of compassion. I vibrate with fear even for cleanings, let alone the intricate work Dr. Roth has had to do on my mouth through the years and he and his lovely team always show me patience and dignity. My fears are literally so unfounded (though ever present much to my chagrin) at this point as he is so gentle, kind and thorough in his work, as are the hygienists. They always switch up their tools/cleaning to accommodate my anxiety and never make me feel guilty even if it costs them time. I have been to other offices and have noticed staff is almost irritated at having to deal with my state of mind, I leave feeling embarrassed. At Dr. Roth's I leave feeling a little braver and so cared for. Dr. Roth also seems to be very careful about who he lets into his work family, as I mentioned, every single human I have encountered as been professional, kind and patient. Finally, it is such a vulnerable feeling to sit in that chair and open your mouth; we have to be able to trust our physicians and course of care they recommend to us. I have been to other offices and clearly been oversold unnecessary services and treated callously. Dr. Roth has always provided his professional opinion with explanations, different treatment options and his office always works to find a way to make it work for my family financially. I currently live over an hour away and will continue to commute to place my and my family's dental care in his trusted hands. We only wish we could find equally reliable, knowledgeable and trusted physicians for the rest of our care team ie GP etc! read more

Dr. Roth and his staff are extremely friendly and by far the most thorough dental experience I've ever had. We were new to the area so we, of course, checked out Yelp reviews to start our search for a new dentist. Dr. Roth is well known and loved by so many in our community so we gave them a shot! The initial appointments are in 2 separate sessions - we opted to book them back to back and our new patient appointment plus cleaning was very long. Like hours long .... But! It wasn't bad. Just super thorough. Recommend highly - just be sure to check with your insurance provider because we did end up with a bill at the end we were expecting. I am a HUGE fan of Dr. Sean Roth in Folsom. I have recommended him to all of my friends and co-workers and there isn't one who hasn't loved him and his staff. A mix of the worst and best of a dentist is what you will find with Sean Roth. Our experience began with the installation of a set of ten temporary Veneers. While this is a common procedure, Dr. Roth managed to cause my wife excessive pain during this procedure as he was unable to provide the correct amount of Novocain to properly numb my wife's mouth. He ended up giving her 5 or 6 different injections to reach the sufficient level of anesthesia to perform the procedure. Dr. Roth did such a poor job with the procedure, that the temporaries would not stay on causing my wife extreme pain when she drank or tried to eat something for three weeks. Of course, we called Dr. Roth immediately to rectify the situation, but he was unavailable (he said he was not feeling well) and my wife was made to wait two weeks with excruciating pain before the proper adhesive was applied to hold the temporary teeth in place to wait the remainig ten days when the Permanent Veneers would be ready for installation. When the permanent Veneers arrived, Dr. Roth struggled to find the right combination of anesthesia to perform the procedure to remove the temporary Veneers. Once again, he caused my wife severe pain. The installation of the permanent Veneers went reasonably well and even though we feared for days after the installation that the permanent Veneers would fall out, they have stayed in place. Well, now our story takes another twist, highlighting more of the lack of required dental skill Dr. Roth does not possess. Within a week, my wife began experiencing pain in one of her crowns situated next to the recently installed Veneers. We initially thought that the pain was a new cavity. Some time passed before my wife was able to muster the strength to return to the dentist office to have the painful tooth examined. My wife is now terrified of dentists after he experience with Dr. Roth. My wife chose not to return to Dr. Roth as she feared he was incompetent and did not trust his work based on the experiences explained above. The good dentist in this story, Dr. Lynn Judd, immediately recognized there was a large gap where one was not supposed to be because Dr. Roth did not seat the Crown properly. Dr. Judd told us we needed to go back to Dr. Roth to fix it. We told Dr. Judd that we would never let Dr. Roth near us again and that we wanted Dr. Judd to fix the improperly seated crown for us. Dr. Roth never took responsibility for his previous poor workmanship, worse yet, he was very arrogant, rude and non-caring attitude was a form of unacceptable abuse. read more

An honest and professional dental experience. EVERYONE was professional and Dr. Roth was an expert.

Currently no dentist.....of course that is when problem surfaced. My wife was recently recommended to Dr. Roth....she said he was great. She called for my sudden unbearable pain to get me in. Booked me with Dr Kloss within an hour or two. Upon arrival the front desk staff welcomed me with smiles. Filled out minimal new patient paperwork and was immediately brought back to patient room. Nicole did x-rays and assisted the doc with his magic...she was wonderful and very accomodating. Like I just mentioned, Dr. Kloss was on point.....he performed his tasks with great expertise. He explained things very well and seemed like just a regular decent and upbeat guy....it definitely helped that my pain went from an 8 to zilch in no time flat. Very, very satisfied and will make sure I sign up as a regular patient for preventative care.
