Another a/c company did shoddy installation work installing a new drip pan that started leaking & rusting after only a couple of months so I called yet another company to fix it. The second company refused to paint it with sealant to prevent further rust but offered to install yet another drip pan. So, I called a third a/c company, Ryan heating & air. We set up the service call by phone & confirmed by text. He came on time, did a quality job, & his fees are reasonable. Most of all he is honest. I called Ryan after a referral from Doug at Lakewood Heat & Air (who's experiencing some health concerns). I had a drip coming from a vent above my bed that was essentially making sleeping a Chinese water torture experience. Ryan showed up the next day, was very personable and did his best to fix a symptom of an unknown issue. If I'd reviewed them that day, would've been 4/5 stars. However, a week later the drip continued and getting Ryan's time proved to be difficult. We scheduled an appointment the day after my 2nd call, and he no-showed. Via text, he said they'd gotten caught up with a big install and apologized. We set up a time for 2 days later and again he no showed. Via text, he again apologized and said they'd gotten caught up (notice a pattern). Said he might be able to come out the next morning but I didn't get my hopes up and again, he didn't show. Very personable, very likable guy but not holding to scheduled appointments gives this guy a 1 for me. read more

After dealing with two other companies to get my furnace fixed, one didn't show up and the other one tried to sell me a whole new system. Ryan and his crew are great to work with. After our air went out he came with a quick fix that kept our pump running a little longer. When it finally came time to replace the unit Ryan was quick to come assess our needs. He was able to get us a quote and estimated time of completion fast and installed the new heat pump the next morning. My AC works again! My AC went out and was blowing hot air--we were about to melt. I tried calling 4 other repair companies and the soonest someone could fix my AC was 3 days later--no way! It was already 87 degrees in my house; I couldn't wait that long. I was referred to these guys by Doug from Lakewood Heat & Air (he couldn't get to me, but sent me their info; thanks Doug!). Ryan Heat & Air returned my call, showed up same day and ON TIME (!!!), and fixed my AC in about 30 minutes. They were friendly, fast, and the price was $50 cheaper than the bigger company I'd originally scheduled with, (after I thought Lakewood Heat & Air couldn't get to me at all.) I'm planning to have them add some duct work in my bedroom when it cools off. These guys are great! read more

Ryan and Jeff were very friendly and professional, and they seemed very honest. They quickly diagnosed the problem, showed us the broken part, and obtained a replacement part. In addition, they gave what seemed like a pretty fair price. We highly recommend them! 12/5/16 Update: We had a new issue pop up. Ryan came out to the house, diagnosed the issue, and recommended a new HVAC unit. He promised to provide quotes soon afterwards. After over a month of 3 texts to him and at least 3-4 unreturned voicemails to him and his co-worker Jeff, we gave up. We liked Ryan Heat and Air for its customer service and recommended them to multiple friends who used them, so this was very disappointing. Perhaps he's gotten too busy, but customer service was why we went with him in the first place. read more

The replaced the cooper coil with the aluminum coil at a reasonable price. However, the tech forgot to blow out the CA pipes and caused leaks on the second floor ceiling. They did pay for the sheetrock person to come and repair. I just got a call from my wife there is another leak. read more

I really appreciate the passion he brings to getting the job done right, and always makes sure to point out and/or fix other items that would have been missed or were not part of the original scope. I had a list of items an inspector pointed out that needed to be fixed with my AC unit/ductwork. Ryan was able to come out the next day and fix everything within a few hours at a very reasonable cost. I have a rather old AC and a few years ago the house wasn't getting cool. Called a local AC guy who was retiring and he gave me Ryan's number. Called him and he answered right away. he was delayed about an hour from our appointment time, but he called me ahead of time to let me know so I wasn't left wondering. Assessed the problem (super small leak in a curve that can't be fixed) but felt the rest of the system was in great shape (about 20 years old) and he charged the system letting me know this will be temporary but may stay cold for a year or maybe 2 if lucky. Stayed cold for 3 years. Was getting that 'it isn't cooling off' again today. Called Ryan, and he was at the house within 30 minutes. He checked the machine over again and said, your equipment is still in great shape. Lets just top off the AC again and re-evaluate next (or the following) year. He doesn't try to sell me anything and is very fair on price. When the old AC dies, he knows he has a customer for the new one. I cannot recommend enough! read more
