Update to my original review. On August 27, the towel bar in my bathroom unexpectedly detached. Upon attempting to reattach it, it was discovered that the screws had been screwed into a hollow opening of the wall filled with a paper/cardboard material--rather than being properly secured. This concealed issue would not have been visible had the towel bar not fallen. As of 8/28/2025, the cardboard was removed by the owner, Roy who proceeded to explain "it was a quick fix," and the bar was affixed to satisfaction, however the method used to install it to begin with is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the integrity of other completed work in my home. I had searched for a company to handle water damage, I took a chance on this company as my neighbor used another larger company for the same type of damage and wasn't happy with the rebuild side of things. I like to take time to write reviews after all the dust has settled and when I am little less upset- that took me a good two months and that's why I am here now. Pros: 1) They are good at getting the insurance to cover your claim 2) I didn't have major issues with them showing up to work Cons: 1) The father and son team, which are the owners, don't really know the technical aspects of the job. Which isn't always uncommon in this day and age but since they are a small company you would think it would be beneficial for them to know more than what they do. I did observe one team member, who is older with curly hair and speaks some broken English, knew more than both the owners. So I hate for the review to be a reflection on some of their team that are more experienced. 2) It was like pulling teeth to get an estimate from them. I didn't get an estimate till I removed them from the project so it was a good 2 or 3 weeks before getting an estimate. Nor did I get a receipt for payment that I did make for the remediation work they performed before I rejected any of their further services. There was always the promise of an estimate or invoice coming but was never delivered. 3) I caught them not being honest about a few things and when addressing them about the issue they never apologized or admitted there was a mistake... their tempers just got worse, especially Roy Sr.'s. Roy Jr. was a little bit easier to handle but because they were already dishonest about a few things I didn't feel like moving forward with the rebuild- trust was already lost. 4) They chipped tiles in the remediation process, I'm assuming it's because they haven't invested in buying the necessary tools to make the work easier for their team In general, these water remediation companies do take advantage of people because you're in the midst of chaos. You're not going to take time to get 3 or 4 estimates and do the research on each company because your house is in a mess. This is what I would advise... 1) Pay someone to do the remediation 2) pay a separate person to do the necessary mold testing 3) Pay another company to do the rebuild Don't let one company do it all.... Once you get the remediation out of the way you will have more time to research a professional drywall, insulation company, etc. to do the rebuild work. It takes much more time but I was relieved and happy I didn't have Rx2 do the rebuild based on the other client's drywall pictures. Sometimes it may come out cheaper doing it this way as well. If they were nicer and admitted to their mistakes I would have tried to continue to work with them. Unfortunately the owners really turned the experience south and it doesn't help they are disorganized and don't provide you with information like warranty of their work on the contract you sign. The contract speaks mostly of them getting payment. Also, yes, be aware if the following: 1) Many plumbing companies work with remediation companies so do expect strings to be attached with one of them getting a kickback for referring services (that's why I said to shop for all your services separately) 2) The insurance companies are difficult to deal with so let the remediation company handle the conversation when you find yourself in a huge flood but also realize that you may lose your insurance coverage or have a higher premium due to water damage claim. If you can afford to fix the problem without needing the insurance to cover it- then do so! if your insurance chooses to drop you because of the water damage claim, about 80-90% of other insurance companies won't take you on as a new client for the next 3-5 years. Who wants to be without homeowners insurance just because of circumstances beyond your control or because a company forces you to file a claim when it may not be necessary. read more

My water softener sprung a leak and water went all over the garage floor and into the laundry room, which was just on the other side of the wall from the softener. I called a plumber and was referred to Rx2 Restoration. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They sent someone out to evaluate the situation the next day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No having gone through a problem like this before, I had no idea what was involved. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They explained everything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their 'mitigation' dept., or as I like to call them, the demolition team, got started right away. Once they removed the debris and damaged dry wall, they set up big industrial fans. Their 2 techs, Octavio and Jairo, did all that and then came back every day for 3 days until the 2x4's and surrounding area was completely dry. Man it was noisy but it worked! They had a de-humidifier going to pull the moisture out of the air that the fans were putting out. I was stunned to find out that over the course of 2 days the dehumidifier filled a 5 gallon bucket with water! Plus they had a huge air filter running when the fans were running, to trap all the dust and junk the fans were stirring up! I was very impressed! Then Rubin, the Restoration Mgr, came out with his tech for the reconstruction, Jesus. Jesus finished in one day. Installing drywall, texturing and painting the laundry room wall. They had taken pictures of everything as they went along and when Jesus was done in the laundry room, he even put all my laundry supplies back on the shelf exactly where I had them! Excellent work, extremely well organized company, all the techs were very professional and cleaned up after their work was done and were very respectful of my home. Couldn't ask for a better job! read more

Worst company ever. Less than a year after we used them to remodel after water damage in our kitchen, each cupboard door of the cheap cabinets they installed have fallen off. Three of the drawers in the cabinets have had three rails tear off of the back making the drawers useless. The counter tops aren't level and the "upgraded" faucet he said he"gave" us needed to be replaced due to leaking. It is two brothers that run this company Ray is very nice, but Roy is a scammer... so beware. I have all the text messages and even audio of my conversations with him. Very condescending and will try like mad to go the cheapest route possible. All he cared about was getting the insurance check. Very horrible experience. We have had to fix everything they touched. read more

Mr. Rooter called this company, falsely convincing me that I needed their services in order for them to work on the plumbing. These guys tried to pull one over on me, and even had me call my insurance company and file a claim. They tried to scare me by saying that I needed to replace all my cabinets and drywall because mold was growing due to water damage. They showed me pictures of "what can happen". They even tried to start work before the insurance company approved it. I kept telling them, "What if the insurance company doesn't approve the claim?" and they kept lying, saying that it never happens. They demanded to leave their equipment in my house. When I said, "I'm not comfortable with this," they kept pushing and when that didn't work, the guy (I think his name was Will) got irritable and rude. The pushiness was some of the worst I've ever encountered from a salesperson. This company is running some sort of a scheme where they get referrals from other companies and then have home owners file insurance claims that get them $$$. After my townhome maintenance showed up, they informed me that what RX2 and Mr. Rooter were saying was essentially untrue and just fear tactics. The problem was simple: a leaky gasket. Nice family business. I guess greed and lying for the sake of profit is their core value. Whatever gets you that money, I guess. Now I'm stuck with higher home insurance premiums, despite canceling the claim that they attempted to con me into. Even if you do end up needing restoration, avoid this company like the plague. They get their money by scamming insurance companies and raising everyone's insurance rates in the process. They prey on people who don't know how insurance works. Please get a second opinion before hiring them or Mr. Rooter. I'm so happy that neither of these companies will be profiting off of me. They are still calling my phone number like the desperate greedy clowns they are trying to "follow up". read more

Roy from Rx2 came out to our house after our water heater had broken and flooded our large walk-in closet. Roy was absolutely amazing -- he is excellent at dealing with insurance company and worked tirelessly to make sure that our home insurance was providing coverage for all the damages. He had his team out here daily to get everything dry and he thoroughly tested for any damages. We ultimately needed to have walls, carpeting, and cabinetry replaced. He was excellent at finding the best people to do the job at reasonable rates. Most importantly, he was so responsive throughout the entire job, honest, and fair.
