Signed a contract with very detailed material specifications. Researched all of them…read more(encapsulation material, dehumidifier, pump) so that I would be comfortable with the large amount I paid. They called me 2 weeks prior to the scheduled appointment to ask if installation could occur earlier. At this point, I assumed they had the agreed upon materials. I had to decline as I was researching some concerns. When they arrived for the scheduled appointment, they did NOT have the encapsulation material or the pump. One of the guys nervously said I was getting "an upgrade" for the material but as I had no time to research I wasn't sure what I got. I was also told that they would show me how to change the filter before they put the dehumidifier in the dark crawlspace. For some reason they neglected to do that. They said the pump would come at a later date. They performed as much of the installation as they could, installing the exterior water line before knowing the height of the pump, so ultimately it was installed on an uphill trajectory. Of course 2 weeks later it failed and water spilled into the crawlspace, which they fixed. They tried to show me how to clean the filter in the dark but of course that wasn't retained. They make a big deal of taking on the dehumidifier 5 year warranty, but the fact is if something goes wrong, as it did recently with mine where the dehumidifier stopped running and humidity levels increased dramatically, I learned they charge $250 just to make a service call. You can also sign up for a maintenance plan for 1 year for $250 where service calls are $45. That's more than heating and air companies charge to service your furnace and air conditioning! So 66 year old fixed income me crawled on my hands and knees to the dehumidifier, spent ten minutes in the dark fumbling with a screwdriver to finally reach the filter, then crawled back out of the crawlspace to clean it, then back on my hands and knees across the crawlspace to re-insert the clean filter that wasn't all that dirty, to once again fumble with the screwdriver to get the filter cover back on, only to get an "E4" error, which is associated with a multitude of different ailments. Absolutely ridiculous exercise when I forked over $5,400 just 15 months ago. I would not recommend them but whoever you go with check the fine print around servicing any equipment that you get. The service fees are exorbitant for just a fairly small dehumidifier and pump. There should be no charge if replacement is needed on a $2,000 dehumidifie!

Very satisfied with the insulation work that this company did for us. The guys who came and did…read morethe work masked up and kept their distance, did a good job and cleaned up afterwards. Already notice a big difference in how the house retains its warmth on the chilly nights we have been having. Not cheap but did a good job and hopefully will pay for itself in reducing heating and cooling costs. High marks all around!

Highly recommend Armando and his crew at Cocoon Spray Foam. Responsive, fair, and hardworking. I…read morereached out for a quote, and Armando came out that SAME day to inspect the area, provide a recommendation (closed cell spray foam insulation), and a very fair/reasonable quote. After reviewing the quote and doing some research, I went ahead with the work, and he and his crew made plans to come out. I actually ended up expanding the scope of the work when they arrived because they made a recommendation on-site, and a very fair price to go along with that. I needed some help clearing the space where they were going to spray, and they were more than willing to help me, which was awesome--"we don't mind, we are here to work" was his exact response. If you're exploring insulation options, do yourself a favor and go with Cocoon Spray Foam.

After going over the details of what should be done I agreed to have him do the work and was very impressed at what he was able to do with the crawlspace. I have to say he is one I would recommend to do the work. Can't believe how good the space looks now after installing the heavy plastic sheet and spray foaming just about every area he could and the price was a lot cheaper than two other estimates. thanks Armado for a great job.

I called Foot Hills Crawlspace in 2023 after receiving multiple quotes from other companies ranging…read morefrom $11,000 to $25,000. Mr. Brook showed up to inspect my crawlspace and literally before he pulled out the driveway, I received an email from him with a quote for $6000 with a 3% discount if booked within two weeks. I thought maybe it was a mistake, as I could not understand, after comparing his quote with the other quotes, how his could be so much less for the same work??? I called maybe six of his 20 or more references and they all were very positive, and said they would use him again; some were business references and they said they use Foothills on a regular basis. I then called Brook and asked if he did veterans, law-enforcement, and or senior discounts, which he did give me an additional 2%. I booked them, they came out on time, Brook introduced me to his crew who were doing the work, and by the end of the day they were done. I was pleased, and my HVAC company, pest control company, engineer, and others who have since gone into my crawlspace, have said what a great job Foothills did. They returned earlier this year to do an annual inspection.

Working with this company was a frustrating experience from start to finish. The company did a poor…read morejob managing expectations regarding the work to be delivered. The sales and consultation process strongly implied that we would receive a crawlspace encapsulation-type solution, but the final result was a vapor barrier covering less than the original. When we attempted to discuss our concerns, the owner was disengaged. Instead of partnering with us to resolve the issues, he took a hands-off approach and was unwilling to consider reasonable alternative solutions. He wouldn't personally come out to review the work even after requested. A reputable contractor should be willing to stand behind their work and collaborate with customers when expectations are not met. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. I wouldn't work with this company again and I wouldn't recommend them to others.
