I knew of an old family friend nearby, but I also knew that it would be a while before we got our car back, so I started searching the Internet locally and found Precision Collision in Westfield. Impressed by their website and the looks of their shop, I figured they had to be doing something right. I was even more impressed when the Geico damage inspector in Stevens Point knew this fellow by name and said, "oh, yeah, they do great work!". SInce the Sequoia is my wife's car, I was worried about a loaner car as well. Our vehicle was scheduled for work on a specific day, my wife was given a very nice late model VW as a loaner and we were told when the car would be ready. And it was ready, exactly when we were told it would be. And it was done beautifully, and the price was exactly as quoted. All OEM parts were used whenever possible as well. I live in Ohio and was passing through Cross Plains, WI when my battery warning light of my…read more290,000+ mile-old Honda Odyssey came on. I called my mechanic in Ohio. He told me to stop immediately, that he was pretty sure that it was the original alternator giving out. I happened to just come up on Mike's Automotive Repair and pulled in, hoping for the best. Mike inspected things and told me that's what it was, and that he would able to squeeze in the repair a bit later to put in a new alternator. While I waited in the local coffee shop and shopped at local stores to pass the time, several Cross Plains residents told me that they wouldn't take their cars anywhere else, but Mike's. The car ran very well the rest of the 8-hour trip home, including a 4 1/2 hour, stop-and-go, rush hour traffic around Chicago. The repair took a lot of worry off my mind. The next day, I spoke with my mechanic. He told me that Mike charged me a reasonable amount, and that I was very lucky to have found him when I did. It's really nice to know that there are still quality auto repairs guys out there who will do an emergency repairs on someone who is not a regular customer and not rip you off.

I used their shop because I needed a tire change on short notice- not exactly an emergency. They took care of me in their shop which is a little ragged but about average for roadside truck service. They got me back on the road after a thorough check of my tire issues. That's what I needed. Its a big rig truck shop not a boutique-not pretty but reliable. They are somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. I would use them again.

I will say. I was satisfied with my service the first 4 times. How ever earlier this week. I took…read moremy 2011 Lincoln Navigator in for a front end brake job. They decided that my rotors needed to be replaced not turned. The mechanic took the callipers off the vehicle. Opening the brake fluid system to open air. I was lead to the mechanic bay to see the parts. So yes I know they took the callipers off for a fact. They returned my car to me. So I figured it was fixed. Before I got out of the parking lot the brake light came on. So I bought brake fluid and topped it off. Before I was half a mile a way. The brake light was on again. I took it back and told them they left some thing loose. When the mechanic was told to check his work. His response was it was a simple brake job. There was no need to check the brake fluid level. When you take the callipers off the vehicle it is no longer a simple brake job and there is definitely a need to bleed the brakes. After an hour they determined the master cylinder back seal went bad. So I would need to pay another $618.00 to get it fixed. Personally if it could have been driven I would have taken it home and fixed it myself. But I had to barrow the money to get the brakes. The master seal went bad by they're actions. Either do to incompetence or on purpose. So double check they're work if you can.
