Eric and crew are experts on native plants. The more I read about "lawns," the more I cringe every time I pass one on the road. Lawns, being non-native plants, they are animal-torturers -- ironically, lawns passively mow down animals. Think of lawns as efficient animal-disposal machines. Do the planet (and your neighborhood) a favor and make your land friendly to critters by insisting on native plants. Native plants and animals evolved together over millions of years, so when one's land doesn't have native plants, wildlife starves, all the way up and down the food-chain. Lawns are gasoline- and water-guzzlers. The lawn industry uses up a humongous amount of petroleum products merely in lawn-mowing. I am a "Gone the Lawn" person now. Lawns are appropriate ONLY under certain circumstances, like one is a croquet fanatic. I never knew that gardening was year-round. April is the month everyone waits for, but planning starts the previous autumn. Eric's physically-demanding season winds down in mid-November, so let him see your plot before the snows hide the land. Autumn is the best time to start brainstorming the design phase for the following April. Eric and crew are not only landscapers but artists.

Blew a tire on the highway late Friday afternoon near Wisconsin Dells…read more Got mini spare on but needed a special tire to match others. Called this discount tire store and Brian the manager found tires to match in Janesville Wisconsin. We could drive far with compact spare so he arranged for tires to be delivered within a few hours to his shop. Got us up and back on the road so we didn't have to wait until Monday. Great service and great manager.

This location used to be my go to store. I drove past another Discount Tire to have proper service…read moredone. Yesterday they caused a nightmare I am still dealing with today. I brought my truck in for a tire rotation and balance. I reminded them the air pressure needed to be reset. After waiting a bit I was ushered into the work area. The person working on my truck cross threaded one of the lugs. The lug nuts are not old as they were purchased from Discount Tire per their recommendation. They claimed the installer screwed it on by hand three turns instead of their company policy of five. A pain yes but it happened. They told me they would repair. My truck is going in the shop for other maintenance the next day and that can be taken care of. I get my truck back and the air pressure is 25 lbs low in the rear and 15 in the front. I had to have that corrected. I am also missing a center cap from my truck. The shop claimed it was missing when I arrived. They said they can order a new one. This is a comedy of errors and I'm paying the price. I would avoid this location. As a company I have bought tires for decades. This location is not up to par.
