We called, and Kim graciously told us to come in and Mel would look and see if he could help us. Bad news, good news. Our transmission was shot, but he changed the filter and fluid in an attempt to get us back on the road--and at least a little closer to home and the shop I work for, for repairs! With a little babying and prayer, WE MADE IT ALL THE WAY HOME! I surely would have had them do the job if circumstances were different, but I wanted to avoid a return trip if possible. I just want to say thank you to both of them for their generosity, their honesty, and their kindness to complete strangers. What an amazing shop; and one that others should model themselves after! We appreciate you more than you know.

Thankfully the vehicle is still in warranty phase so I took it back to Kayser in Sauk where they determined that no codes were stored and they performed a tire sensor relearn where all the sensors learn and are now showing the tire pressures again on the screen. I realize if there was no warranty, Christian Brothers may have changed out 2 perfectly fine sensors. Hhhmmm...

Then I go to Christian brothers and they offer to do an inspection. No thanks Zimbrick just did one a bit ago Today. Later, an Employee comes out and says I have an oil leak and for $140 they can inspect for the problem. No thanks. After oil change I drive away and smell oil. Go to my cousin two miles away and we open the hood to oil spilled all over the engine. I drive back to Christian brothers and the mechanic admits his funnel burped and oil spilled. Didn't bother to clean it up until I took it back. Ends up there isn't an issue with an oil leak, it was the oil he spilled running down under the car.
