They treat the kids that come here well and they seem to look out for them -so for those reasons I think it's a great place. Reasonable monthly fees and a variety of classes are a bonus. Fitness center is average but clean with decent machines. You can get a good workout here, take a swim, and play ball here without breaking the bank. They provide clean towels as well. If you are looking forward to having your child have a good time during camp do not enroll them at this location. They reached out to the parents and said that out of 20 kids, there was a group of 10 kids who not engaged or paying attention. I believe if 50% of the children are not engaged, they need to change the activities to make them more interesting to the children.

Part of the benefits of these lessons are that there aren't any other lessons going on at the same time. There are no distractions, just absolute focus from the instructor who also finds time to give the parent a brief check in at the end of the lesson and lots of positive affirmations for the student. I only wish we had tried their lessons sooner! The office staff is also very professional to speak with and keep you up to speed with any changes. The ability to choose the location of the lessons is also helpful as it keeps me out of the higher traffic areas of route 1. I would recommend Making Waves to anyone.

It's split between single lanes and a wider section for open swim during scheduled times. Lessons and classes are offered during the day for babies up through seniors. They have various membership options and also allow drop ins for $10 a day per adult. There are locker rooms and a family changing room. There are bleachers and chairs for observers and a cute outdoor pool deck area when it's warm. The staff has always been polite when we go and are willing to answer questions about lessons and other things. There are weekend events such as family swim party and BBQs. Overall a nice place to go and swim for a bit without a huge cost to be a guest.

They have a wonderful time and look forward to each lesson. I can't recommend this safe, friendly and knowledgeable school enough. Our daughter's private instructor, John is just incredible. First, she has the same instructor each lesson. He has formed such a bond with her. She trusts him and really has a wonderful smile on her face the whole time (even after coughing a little from the water). Her confidence and skills are growing day by day. The group classes are also stellar. Don't be turned off by the "group" part. The ratio is kept down to 3 to 1 and each kid gets plenty of solo instruction. They are given appropriate breaks and then it back out with an instructor to learn more. Our son has a warm smile on his face the entire time. His skills have grown leaps and bounds. If you're looking for classes for your kids this school is definitely worth taking a look at. At first we thought it was a little expensive (and compared with schools like 'The Connection" it is, but the results are completely worth it. They run a safe, friendly and fun school all while being focused on developing real skills.

The lessons are a bit more expensive than the other leading kids swim school, but there are fewer kids so it is not nearly as chaotic. The kids definitely get great instruction and learn to swim in no time. Our son is not yet 3 and can nearly swim on his own after the lessons that he received here. The only thing that is a little strange with their structure is that your time and instructor are not guaranteed from one season to the next, so if you like your time slot and want to keep it, you need to wait in line on sign-up day. The benefit is that everyone has an equal chance of getting their preferred time each season and if you don't get it one season you have a chance the next season. Also, you need to pay for the full season up front, which is a big expense compared to other swim schools where you pay monthly. All in all, we've had a great experience here and would highly recommend it to get you child swimming well.

Compared the the PS27 location, this pool is 10x nicer. A much larger space, a kiddie pool in the very back for baby swimmers, and a deep Olympic sized pool for the older kids. We'll probably be coming here more often in the future to take advantage of the nicer amenities.
