I've made multiple attempts to communicate with SafeSplash and waited for some sort of confirmation, but never received a clear response. I had to keep calling and following up just to get basic information. Because of the lack of timely communication, I missed my opportunity to enroll. On top of that, management was not flexible or understanding about the situation, even though the delay was on their end. Loved this swim school for my 3y old. He naturally likes swimming but Daniella made it even more pleasant by being so sweet and caring. She is a star! Clean pool, clean showers. Kids do like it there and parents too. We were there on Sundays. A little tough during the lunch time since the kid wanted to have his nap, but after 30 min of swimming we would take him straight home for a nice 3hour nap. read more

This swiming school is the worse. Not that they always cancel the lessons, they make it difficult to reschedule. Supervisor never call back when you are requesting credits for maney you pay and my childrens didnt start the month lessons. They are the worse school, Very Poor management. read more

My 7 year old started here Aug and loves it! she did not know how to swim only with Swimmies on. But her instructor Kathrine made her feel comfortable and also gave her confidence in what she does and has to do. She never wants to miss a class and is always excited to go on Sundays. They are professional, kind and very patient next year i'll be enrolling my youngest to this class hopefully she gets Katherine as her teacher good job guys! read more

Have been bringing both of my kids for about three years and they both really love the fact that they are getting better with every lesson. The manager Peggy has been great throughout the years helping getting both my seven and four year old in conveniently scheduled lessons and instructors who are well paired with my kids. Their teacher now, Mike, is really the best. He is extremely patient yet motivates the kids to excel to learn new skills at every lesson. I thought I would just bring them here to learn to swim but they love it so much that I can't see a time when they will say they have learned enough! read more

My 5 years old son started with Ms. Katherine since April this year and he has shown noticeable improvement in the last month or so. Ms. Katherine and couple of the substitute instructors, Mr. Matt and Mr. Mike are all awesome with kids and with teaching these little guppies breathing and swimming techniques. Aaron loves all of his instructors and also looks forward to seeing the always friendly Peggy every Sunday who gives him and other kids stickers after their swim lessons. My son started going to Safe Splash almost 5 years ago and it was truly one of the best things we have ever done for him. He had tried another school prior to Safe Splash but they had a huge group of kids with only one instructor and he didn't learn anything there. We decided to try Safe Splash because they only allow a maximum of 4 kids in a class. The instructors are very knowledgeable and patient. My son went from being petrified to putting his face in the water to doing flip turns and butterfly strokes. Even when I thought he would never go under water because he would always cry, the staff was so encouraging and positive and they told me that he would get there. Well, the day he did I literally had tears of joy. Thank you Safe Splash for helping my son to have confidence in himself and to gain crucial safety skills in the water. read more

My daughters have always had a fascination with the water and bath times often turned into wet n wild in the bathroom. My husband and I thought it was time for the girls to learn how to swim and a parent told him about safesplash so we tried it and the instructors are great! Ayssa and Andrew are patient, caring and considerate of each age group in order to acclimate each child into progressing as they matriculate. My children both go to the Paramus location and we love it. The staff is amazing and really care about the kids. Both my kids could not swim when they started and one year later my son is swimming laps and my 5 year can swim on her own in deep water. I highly recommend the Paramus location. Kids are taught by genuinely kind, trained instructors who know exactly when to push your child and by how much, which really helps motivate them to learn. read more

Three kids have finished level 8 and one is now in level 6. I love the professionalism of the entire staff. The coaches are highly skilled at each level. Also, they don't have to finish 8 week cycles to move up! They move up as your child masters the technique. I also love that they teach and reinforce competitive level skills! read more

Great school, my daughter has been going here for 4 years. She is now 12 years old and swims beautifully. She is learning all of the swimming strokes along with safety. I continue her lessons even though she swims well because it is a great exercise regiment especially since her middle school does not offer a real gym program. Children are no longer getting the exercise necessary for their developing bodies and health. Swimming is a great exercise for kids who no longer play outside and are always on their cell phones or portable game devices. They have a great staff. The temperature of the pool is warm, so the children are comfortable. The pool goes from 3 feet to 5 feet perfect for beginners and novice. The cost is reasonable and the atmosphere of the lessons being conducted in a full gym is great. The changing area is perfect and can be private if needed. Clean and safe is the best way to describe the location. read more

First of all, let me start by saying that the swimming school is fantastic. We started in hasbrouck heights, but when the school opened in Paramus (which is closer to our home) we made the switch. The teachers at both locations were fantastic, and we felt our kids were in excellent hands while in the pool. My issue with the school has to do with the management side of things. With baseball starting up and my kids getting a little disinterested in continuing lessons for a bit, we withdrew them from their classes. Since we did it after the 15th of the month we were charged a $30 late withdrawal fee, which is policy and I have zero problem with that. What I do have a problem with is getting billed for the next month anyway. I called and spoke to someone, and was told she would have to check with her manager about a refund. A week passed and I had not heard back, so I called again. I was told there wasn't a note in my account about either the withdrawal OR the refund. This new person put the refund request (for classes I was billed for but not using) through again, and was told it would take 3 business days. 5 business days later I had still not received the money refunded into my account, but I had now also been billed ANOTHER charge. I immediately called when I saw the email receipt to find out what was going on. When I spoke to them again, I was told I would be refunded for both charges. This time I received an email receipt for the two refunds, so at least it seems like they're actually doing something this time, but we shall see how long it takes to actually get the money back. Hopefully, I'm not billed again this month, because I'm really just not in the mood to deal with this anymore. Tl;dr version - swim school = excellent, office = terrible. EDIT - the billing issues have been resolved and money was refunded for every one of the extra charges. It took a little longer than I would have liked, but it did get done nonetheless. read more
