We've been to a few different swim schools in Bergen County, this is one of the more centrally located ones, being right off Rt17 and the GSP. Being fairly new, the facilities are very clean and bright, well equipped with spacious storage and changing rooms, with very friendly staff. Hours are very good so you should be able to find a time that works for you. There's even a small kids play area for those with antsy little ones. Price seems to be a bit higher than a few other places, but not surprising considering how new and clean it is here. But good overall.

I was paired with a great instructor (Haighley) and my son has been with her consistently for a few weeks. My son was always fearful of water and would cry before getting in any pool. My son now looks forward to swim class. I couldn't get him in a pool before and now I have a hard time getting him out lol. He's very shy but I was surprised to see him talk and joke around with her so quickly. She is great with children (my son is 3). They recently celebrated a year of being open and I've noticed a difference in consistency with instructors throughout. The facility does well at maintaining cleanliness throughout. I'm glad I gave it another chance! Abigail has been amazing and accommodating.

If you have toddlers DO NOT GO HERE. British Swim School,…read morehas repeated service failures and misleading practices by resulting in my toddler son not receiving proper swim instruction for over two months--despite the business manager **** continuing to charge me without providing the promised service. The issues began when all of the senior swim instructors at our location quit. Since then, my son has been placed with instructors who clearly lack the proper training or experience--especially in working with toddlers. Initially, we were asked to continue lessons at a Hampton Inn pool, which was both under construction and in unsanitary condition. Despite that, I continued the lessons. My son was then assigned to an instructor with no toddler experience. After raising my concerns, I was promised he would be paired with a more experienced instructor moving forward. Later, I was told my son would be paired with ****, the manager and lead swim trainer. However, when we arrived, my son was pushed aside to accommodate a new client's child and was instead handed off to a novice instructor who arrived 15 minutes late. That session involved no structured lesson--just my son being aimlessly tossed around in the water, without any of the promised instruction or protocol. At the very next session, my son was already in the water when I was told he wasn't even on the schedule. Once again, he was assigned to a random, inexperienced instructor--despite prior assurances of consistent, qualified instruction. Throughout this entire period, British Swim School has continued to collect payments, offers no refunds, and has not taken any meaningful action to resolve the issue. My son has been continually dismissed and underserved, and I've paid for services we clearly have not received. This feels like a complete breach of trust and, at this point, borders on fraud.

I really enjoy being a member at The Gym. The space is always clean,…read morethe equipment is modern, and the staff is friendly, but what truly makes my experience special is my trainer Monica. Before working with her, I had never strength-trained. She taught me the mind muscle connection. As a runner with a few imbalances, I really value how she builds in mobility, flexibility, and functional strength so I move and feel better overall. In five months, the progress has been amazing. Monica plans every session thoughtfully, challenging but never overwhelming, and always tailored to my needs. Her coaching style is the perfect blend of clear instruction, supportive energy, and just the right amount of push. What really sets her apart is her holistic approach. As a certified yoga teacher, she brings mindfulness and stress relief into each session, making every workout feel like a full reset. And as a chef with nutrition certification, her advice and meal plans are realistic, sustainable, and never restrictive. I couldn't ask for a better trainer. Monica is knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely dedicated. I highly recommend her.

Went all the way down to join the club and Frank was extremely unwelcoming, so I will not be…read morejoining or coming back to that club...ever **Thanks for your response Andrew and thanks for the invite to keep MY review up. You need to get the facts straight first before you jump the gun on how friendly Frank was to me because that's simply NOT the case... My ID is 100% valid. Im retired like I told him several times This is what I clearly told Frank a year ago and he said that it was" no issue at all" ..So I ended up coming back to the club a year later to finally join up. He asked me for ID which I showed him, then he started to say oh didn't you come in here a year ago etc, so I said yes I did. He then tells me "oh your ID says retired you can join at the full rate" and "I told you last time that im not giving you the discount we offer ...(that's not true at all ), What he said was that it was NO ISSUE".. He started to examine my ID, hold it up to the light literally about 5 different times ,,,Not sure what that was about...I said Frank, " WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY ID- YOURE EXAMINING IT LIKE ITS A FAKE $100 BILL OR SOMETHING, I said is there an issue?????..and he says " OH NOTHING I WAS JUST LOOKING AT IT. He then continues to say he's not giving me the discount and he told me this last year. I said NO PROBLEM...I was leaving, asked him for my ID back, and he started taking pictures of my ID with his phone... Maybe you can clear that up for me Andrew..what was that about after I said no problem and was clearly leaving the club with my coat on. Why did he start taking pictures of My ID? I mean I could care less that you or him think my ID is not valid, I could care less about any discount, or joining your club..Thats not the point at all.. I just didn't appreciate the way I was treated..PERIOD. Its really as Simple as that..I hope this clears it up for you. My experience was not good.
