1 Star - Horrible Experience I had a terrible experience at Swim Quest in Millburn, NJ. My 4- and 5-year-old children were already in the water for their lessons when Corey, the manager, demanded that we leave immediately because of a payment issue. There was no room for flexibility, and instead of addressing the situation calmly or offering a solution, Corey came into the pool area and made a scene in front of my distressed children. He was more focused on enforcing rules and collecting money than ensuring a positive, safe experience for families. To make matters worse, later that day, they came to our car in the parking lot to ask for payment - which felt completely unprofessional and unsafe, especially with small children in tow. I understand the need to manage payments, but this behavior was unacceptable and made us feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I would not recommend Swim Quest to anyone looking for a supportive, caring environment for their children. Their lack of empathy and professionalism is concerning. read more

Our 3-year-old daughter has been taking lessons at the Millburn location since it opened. She had taken lessons with others before and didn't seem to be advancing or getting more comfortable in the pool without her floaties. Our daughter has grown tremendously as a swimmer in a short period of time due to the incredible instructors at SwimQuest. In a few months she has gained so much confidence and is now swimming across the pool on her own, and jumping in without fear. She also has a lot of fun! Everyone is so warm and welcoming. She never wants to leave the pool and always looks forward to the next lesson (and not just for the lollipop at the end!). The facility is also beautiful, from the individual changing rooms to the hair drying station, not to mention the fish and turtles. I would highly recommend Swimquest! read more

I was pretty afraid of the water before I started my lessons with Devin. After just a few months of lessons with him, I am not only comfortable in water but I've learned so many different swim strokes and I always look forward to the lessons! It's incredible. Learning to swim in my late 20s was really daunting but Devin made it so easy for my fiancé and I. The lessons, even if they are semi private, are catered to your own style, comfort level, faults. The facilities are AMAZING! The pool is warm, which really helps focus on learning how to swim as opposed to being cold and uncomfortable. My only regret is not starting earlier. They're very accommodating at Swimquest and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to learn how to swim. read more

My two kids (aged 9 and 6) have had a very good experience with Swimquest. The facilities are very clear and modern, and most importantly, I can tell that my kids are improving their swimming skills from week to week. What I also appreciate about Swimquest is their flexibility: we've had weeks where for one reason or another, we've had to change the regularly scheduled lesson times, or if we're out of town in a given week, book a second session in a week, and it's never been a problem making those arrangements. Because of that, we've worked with several different instructors, and they've all been of a consistent quality, which is great - it makes me feel less concerned about missing out on any particular instructor. read more

Love this place! The instructors are well trained. They take their time introducing the children into the water especially if the child is frightened. SwimQuest is always so clean. The dressing rooms, open area and pool water are well kept. The pool is saltwater which I love. The building is beautiful. There are two giant fish tanks that are so inviting to the children. In the pool area there is a mosaic tile mural of sea turtles, ocean fish, and plant life the length of the building. It is as though the children are swimming with the ocean fishes. This place is the best for swim lessons, super clean, modern and instructors are the nicest people you will ever meet. They don't treat your child like another customer. They literally become friends with your little ones. My daughter loves Coach Christ and always has the biggest smile when she sees him. Also let's not forget about customer service, due to my child scheduling issues they always work with us to accommodate us. Don't wait to sign your child up. Swim lessons are life saving skills and what's better gift you can give your child then safety and experience they will never forget. read more

SwimQuest is the real deal! We have been bringing our two sons (4&2) for a couple years and they have made so much progress. The unique teaching technique the instructors have developed pushes them by giving them confidence in the water at a young age. Our 4 year old is virtually swimming across the pool on his own now and so proud of himself. The boys love going to lessons, the instructors are always warm and friendly. The new facility in Millburn is absoutely beautiful, we always go early so that they can look at the turtles and beautiful fish tanks. Do yourself a favor and check it out! read more

For us there is only one swim school, SwimQuest - They are the best! They go above & beyond to make our kids comfortable and knowledgeable in the water including pool safety. It is not a cookie cutter school, they cater to the needs of each individual child to enable them to reach their greatest potential in swimming. My kids can't stop talking about their instructors & are always extremely eager & excited to go to class. SwimQuest is also a beautiful school. My kids love seeing the fish tanks & turtles. All 4 of my children go to SwimQuest. In full transparency I couldn't get my kids into swim lessons nearby, so decided with some friends to build this special school in our town. The most important pillar is the instruction, which is second to none. Many other schools teach kids not to drown. SwimQuest teaches kids to swim, and even at a very young age. Caroline and Chris are baby whisperers. It's incredible. And my kids love the aquariums and koi river with turtles! It's fun for them in and out of the pool. read more

SwimQuest has been a great environment for our son and daughter to learn to swim. The instructors are extremely skilled at dealing with kids of all ages, abilities and increasing their comfort level and familiarity of being in the water. Not to mention the new school itself which was built with every amenity in mind to keep the students interested and excited about coming to their lessons. My older son took swim lessons at another place when he was younger and it took him much longer than her to learn to swim! We had the most amazing experience at SwimQuest. The staff and swim instructors were extremely helpful and professional. My 5 year old learned to roll over to his back and continue to swim all on his own while my 2 year old completely transformed from crying as soon as we got there to being so proud he "put his face under". My wife and I were overly impressed with every aspect of Swimquest. The instructors were so good with both of our kids, 2 and 5, who were at completely different swimming levels. We loved the ratio of instructors to children and both our boys were completely transformed to a new level of swimming within the first few weeks. The facility was brand new and beautiful. After starting with Swim-Quest in Whippany, we were delighted that another location was opening. Both of my kids now take lessons at SwimQuest-Millburn . The instructors are able to handle varying ages and skill levels and I was able to see a tremendous difference after only a few lessons. The facility is top notch and the design was well thought out. Great place for all ages to learn to swim- owners and instructors are very involved and the improvement week to week is pretty incredible. I cannot say enough good things! My 7 year-old, 5 year-old, 3 year-old and 18 month old, all learned to swim / vastly improved their skills at Swimquest. Each instructor is exceptional with the kids and the facility is clean and gorgeous. Such a huge benefit to the Millburn area!! read more
