This a a what I considered a Mom & Pop shop with a small selection of live plants addition to the flowers. All plants have nice planter, pots and beats what you get at garden stores and supermarkets and you can get them to re-pot some together to make a display planter. The staff is always nice and they customized their arrangement to your request and don't mind you coming to the shop to help make it. All my neighbors and friends use them for local delivery. read more

Ordered flowers for my wife for Valentines Day to deliver at her job. As of 3:30 they were not delivered yet so I called and was told all the deliveries were out and would be delivered by 5. She left work at 5:30 and still no flowers. They called her at 5:50 asking if they could still deliver them, she told them no, she already left. She told them to just refund my money. To wit: Our anniversary is today, seven years, almost completely highs with scattered lows mixed in for flavor. It has been a *really good* seven years. So, I went a little obvious and looked to get seven red, seven white, and seven pink roses sent to my wife. I chose the closest florist to her workplace, and immediately got Mr. Annoyed At Having to Take a Phone Order. I wish I had time to create a suitable backronym for asshole. He's continually telling me to speak up. I'm not a quiet person, but I'm almost shouting at this man. Perhaps he's deaf, but he's not saying, "Could you speak up, please?" He's say, "What!" Oh, I'm sorry, I'm about to spend over a hundred dollars on 21 flowers at your establishment. Pardon me for not glazing your waxened ear canals with 120 decibels of "SEVEN WHITE, SEVEN RED, SEVEN PINK ROSES" Yeah, $105 delivered. It would have been cheaper to go with ProFlowers or 1-800-Flowers or FuckinFlowersNow (Hudson, Essex, Passaic counties only, "Fuck Bergen" is their unofficial motto), but it had to be seven. I'm transmitting some meaning with the flowers, but this half-deaf combative turd is making me repeat the order six ways to Sunday. Wow. Even if the roses are so beautiful that she decides to ditch work and come home to throw me on the floor and... all right, if she does that then I'll amend the review. BEWARE!!!!! What is up with this guy? I thought my dealings with him were over but apparently not! I just got a phone call from my mother saying that the owner of Rutherford Florist called. He knew my username on here and asked her to TELL me to take down my review as it was hurting his business. I'm sorry (sarcasm) but if you have 5 one star reviews and ALL of them say the same BAD thing, you obviously have the problem. Not us. I am not sure how this guy found my full name (my maiden name at that) and got my parent's home phone number as a result but I am pretty sure that is really unprofessional and possibly illegal. If anyone knows, please contact me. I'd love to get this guy in trouble. Be careful with this guy! The first time my boyfriend got me a dozen red roses from here they were absolutely beautiful for a full week. The second dozen roses weren't nearly as nice or fresh and I got only 4 days out of that bouquet before petals started dropping and the necks gave out. The third time the roses were so-so, with some some just opening and some looking droopy within a couple days. A little disappointing considering the premium of buying at the florist. read more

Even thou I had already said I was spending over $100, he answered his cell phone twice and interrupted me twice to serve walk ins. I will never, ever walk in thus door again, and have already told all my friends that they should avoid him at all costs. What an awful experience I had here for a mother's day bouquet. I'm assuming the man who treated me so poorly is also the same one as mentioned in other reviews. I walked into this shop in such a great mood and walked out boiling!!! The man who was helping me was so rude and nasty that I had to write a yelp review on him. First off as a business owner I would expect you want to treat your customer with the upmost respect but that is not what you get here. He was so nasty towards me and kept rolling his eyes when I spoke I was in shock how he was acting! I had to stop and ask him "am i bothering you?" and he responded that it was a long day with his snarky attitude then threw the note pad to the woman who worked there so she could take me. Mind you I was still standing there while this was happening...I had to walk out of here in DISGUST! I ended up going to Poppies down the street and WOW what a difference! Such kind and respectful people. I was glad to give them my money unlike this place. Never again!!! read more
