No purple. How is it possible to not include a significant element of the order?

This was my first time utilizing this florist. We placed an order for my mothers funeral to have a spray from the family delivered to the church for her service. One of the key and very important items was the inclusion of purple flowers as it was her favorite color and a theme color for the service. She was dressed in purple, we all had purple accents and it was important that purple was included in the flowers. We arrived at the service and had difficulty finding what we ordered. I did get a call that morning from someone at the shop letting me know that the flowers had been delivered. But we couldn't find the purple and white spray that we ordered. We later followed up with the management and discovered that an error was made and the spray was not created appropriately. Initially they offered us a 10% refund and then eventually gave us a 30% refund. I felt it should've been more given that the order was not what we ordered. I asked how an error of this type could be made, does someone inspect the orders items before they leave to make sure they match the order, was it written down incorrectly, where was the error in the process? I was informed by Arthur that because it was delivered prior to their business hours that no one checked it before the driver picked it up. Somehow the order was misread by whoever created it. The picture in this review was taken the next day. I had to contact the funeral home to have them find the arrangement because we were unable to find it at the church because we were expecting a purple and white arrangement. We thought this all white arrangement had been sent by someone else. So this picture is less than 24 hours old. If the owner thinks they are brown and wilted that is an indication of a lack of quality because the flowers should not be brown and wilted within 24 hours. In addition, there was no ribbon with words like "Loving Mother/Grandmother". As a result I cannot recommend the shop nor would I ever use them again. To make an error of that nature for such a significant event to me is inexcusable. In addition, given that they gave us pretty flowers but not what we ordered I expected the refund to be a larger amount. I changed from 2 to 1 because of the barrage of insensitive messages from the owner.

The BEST Flowers and Artists who create the arrangements in all of New Jersey (I will add NY in too). I received this arrangement last week. Not only was it stunning but it lasted for over a week. Looking as beautiful as the day it was delivered. The vase I kept....also so different, not like the vases you usually get from florists that are thin and throw-aways. The pictures do not do it justice....I was trying to photograph all sides Violets is a boutique florist...every flower they have is bright, fresh and beautiful! My favorite about this place is jack. Super nice and very friendly he made everything awesome for me. He was very hands on and put a lot of care from the moment I stepped in to inquire and then to place my order whereas I can't say the same about violet who did not tell me it was strictly cash only payment when I told her I'd stop by the following day to pay among other things. This place was pricy! But the centerpieces I wanted she did deliver on how I wanted them. They are lucky to have jack because he made up for everything!!!

Gorgeous flower arrangements. Delivered on time. Guests of honor loved them. Hannah provided great customer service. Texted me pictures of the arrangement and the corsage and boutonnière once they were made.

I found Violets on Yelp and called based on the amazing reviews. I'm in California, so I had no idea what to expect. They were so helpful and friendly. I wanted to send something cheery to my friend. Violets not only delivered on making a beautiful bouquet, they sent me a picture of the flowers and worked within my price range. I highly recommend them. Great service and gorgeous flowers!

Beautiful local corner florist with ladies who know their flowers! Stopped by to pick up a luscious bouquet for an anniversary bouquet and the two ladies helped me out! Initially she listened to me think about putting some fall themes rose bouquet, then suggested other flowers that would work better. Then another lady recommended a bouquet she had made that fits the bill , with beautiful orange Asian lilies, so we went with that after agreeing to put in a few red roses. They worked with me on the price so it didn't go over $75 by too much and the result was a full autumn-themed bouquet that had to be split into two vases as they were too full for one! The flowers were super fresh, succulent and even the greens were spriggy and solid. Very happy with the purchase - I'll be visiting them for more flower needs, as they are much better alternative to the large florist nearby that's kinda had monopoly for decades in fort lee area! Sent flowers to my mother on Mother's Day. It was the first year since my grandmother passed away and want to make sure she would have something beautiful to enjoy. Unsure how this unprofessional place has such a good rating. Please keep in mind when reading this that the company was emailed by the bride and given a chance to respond before taking to social media. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding recently. They were contracted to show up at 12pm. Not only did they not show up or call with updates, it took us until 12:48 to have them even pick up the phone. They were nasty to the brides mother when they finally decided to pick up and I quote said "the wedding is at 5pm what does it matter?!?." They arrived at the venue at 2:30 pm which was after getting ready photos were taken. When they bothered to show up, there were no apologies. One of the men delivering the flowers was actually laughing and asking us how our day was. Obviously very stressful when flowers are so late. They then proceeded to not even know the order and when questioned about the amount of flowers they brought with them I was told "i think I have two arrangements per table. I don't know I left the paper in the car." They were contracted for 4 per table. Shouldn't they know the amount of flowers and arrangements they're bringing?! If you want to stress and have no idea if your florals will show up for your wedding, this is the place for you! If you value communication and transparency, I recommend getting your flowers from the grocery store florist over this nightmare of a "business." We literally had to send someone to the grocery store to get the bride a last minute bouquet for photos due to this situation so I feel qualified to compare the two. read more

The ladies at Violet's whether in person or on the phone listen, suggest and deliver the most beautiful and natural looking arrangements. THIS COMPANY HAD THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED. they were scheduled to arrive at 12pm for a WEDDING and were not able to be reached until 1:12pm. When asked where they were, responded "what's the problem the ceremony isn't until later?" They arrived at 2:38pm with no urgency and NO APOLOGY. Photographers were hired with the expectation flowers would be ready but the flowers were not ready until almost 4pm. This is the most unprofessional and rude set of people I've encountered and they have yet to respond to any emails about the charge. read more

Sent an arrangement for someone recovering from surgery. The flowers were beautiful, bright and cheery and now 4 days later they are still fresh and cheery. The woman who took my order was fantastic and really helpful and they even called when the delivery was early to make sure they could leave the arrangement. You've definitely earned my business! I could not have asked for anything more from them. They met with us multiple times not because they didn't know what they were doing, but to ensure us that all of our ideas were heard. They never pushed us to add more to the services but worked within the budget that we initially gave them. Even though I made them revise the itemized list so many times, they were extremely patient and made the changes. Kate, Mike, and their staff were punctual on the day of the wedding and quickly set up all of the arrangements despite the limited time our venue gave them. EVERY SINGLE THING they made was flawless. During the ceremony, I could not stop staring at the beautiful flowers they used to create the arch. They DO NOT use cheap flowers. The flowers were so delicate, beautiful, and carefully arranged. By the end of the night, everyone took all of the centerpieces and even picked all of the flowers off of the arch. There were NO flowers left. I know that there are so many expenses that go out when you plan a wedding but every penny we spent on flowers was REALLY WORTH IT. It is without question that I would recommend them to anyone who is planning a wedding. You will not regret it one bit. After reviewing photos on their website, I purposely called them because I never like to order from stock photos shown online. All local florists nowadays use a service such as FTD or 800-Flowers to direct and funnel them customers online but it's always best to speak to your local florist directly instead. It also helps local businesses cut out the middle man fees, ensuring a better profit margin to support your local businesses. Maggie who I believe is the owner, was courteous and professional. I gave her an idea of what I wanted, along with budget. She texted me photos of real work she's done and then worked with me on the details. I paid over the phone with a CC and the process was timely and efficient. Day of funeral service, she had completed the arrangement and delivery several hours before the funeral. However when she sent me a photo of the arrangement, I requested a modification. She responded right away with her very first reply offering to adjust it and redeliver it. I mean, no pushback, no questioning back and forth - just pure effort, accommodation and service. (Attached copy of text showing her response!) Within the hour, they went back to the funeral home, brought it back to their shop, made the adjustments and redelivered it. I mean, how impressive is that?! The arrangement was beautiful and conveyed my sentiments of sympathy and love. Photo of her work is attached. For reference, $175 + $10 delivery + tax. I will ABSOLUTELY be relying on Sunset again! WOW. I found Violet's on wedding wire and upon our first meeting with Violeta, I felt really good about her services. She was extremely professional and really understood exactly what I wanted for our wedding. When we booked her, we paid half at that appointment and then the balance about a week or so before the wedding. When my wedding day finally came, I was blown away by the flowers! The centerpieces, ceremony flowers, boutineers, bouquets.. everything truly exceeded my expectations. My family took a lot of the flowers home and I took the bridal party bouquets home and made flower arrangements throughout my house because I didn't want to part with them! I had a truly moving experience over the weekend. I had received word that my beloved Aunt Joan had died. I had received the details for the wake and funeral. Upon calling the funeral parlor, they recommended a florist in Fort Lee New Jersey, entitled Violets. I spoke to a wonderful, professional woman named Diana. I further explained that I would be out of town, the day of the wake, due to a previous engagement. She advised me on my choice for a funeral spray, I had two choices, and, she advised me as to which one was better. Since I will be out of town, I explained that I would like an E Mail sent, when the creat ion is complete. She, wholeheartedly agreed. It has been a year now since I found this florist, it's great to say they have not disappointed us. As a matter of fact, it's always a great experience. Most recently I've had to order flowers for two families that had been faced with a loss. I decided instead of a short "Sorry for your loss", I would write out a specific long note to each. The owner gave me her business cell and had me text her my thoughts for each. When I arrived at the funeral home, I was amazed to see the long hand written card and the appreciation from the family. This is a business that's worth supporting, especially when they show the true connection of love and affection to humanity in which they serve. read more

Violet and her staff are friendly and welcoming and her flowers are high quality My most recent purchase from Violet's Florist was for my granddaughter's baptism. My daughter had specific ideas in mind for the floral arrangements for the special day. Violet listened carefully, made creative suggestions and the results were stunning. It was three items in total: bridal bouquet, boutonniere and corsage. Ladys in the store discussed what I'm looking for very thoroughly. I sent them some pictures that I found online to give an idea of what I'm looking for. Every piece came out PERFECT! It's hard to imagine what could be done better. Highly recommended. I drove past this pretty boutique on my way home to the city. The place reminded me of a flower shop in Paris so I had to stop-in. I loved the decor and it just looks so unique for the area.
